I'm still setting up since before Thanks Giving, but having a blast.
@CDBELL1111 I totally relate... I've been setting it up for like the past 2-3 days so far and I've had mostly free time to do so for all those days. There's also that feeling where it's like you can't really get into a game until everything with Launchbox is just how you want it to be...

Anyone watching this video, for the love of everything, don't download PCSX2 1.4.0; that shit is several years out of date. Download the 1.5.0 development builds since those are significantly more current and stable.
Had no idea. Its so bizarre that the last stable build was early 2016.

main problem with these tutorials is they are obsolete and need to be removed or updated on a regular basis as the PCSX2 (now version 1.6.2 and is 32 bit were as nightly build is on pcsx2-v1.7.5093-windows-x64-Qt) and interface is not the same as in this tutorial.

What's the point in this launch box if u have to tinker in pcsx2 settings for each game anyway.
I use PCSX2 Configurator to handle that. Set your basic settings up that work for most games, then install Configurator and use it to save edited settings on specific games. forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/1434-pcsx2-configurator-next/

There is a way to use the dance pad for Dance Dance Revolution with pcsx2??? I have games but some directional combinations do not go... For example, right plus left or up... I read that with lilypad you can not configure, any suggestions? Thank you very much

Awesome Tutorial, i got mine working in a quickness and i already played 1 ps2 game... but the second game i just started to play seems to freeze on me every 30 minutes and i have to restart it again... what can i do or how can i fix this problem? hope i can get some help soon. :)

How can you set BigBox to close with hitting two buttons at the same time? I can get it on launchbox but not bigbox.

psx2 doesn't have binary download anymore, just the application. Any advice?
The beta version of LaunchBox will now download and set up PCSX2 for you (and help you keep it updated). If you feel adventurous you can download the beta now and check it out.

when i downloaded a game it said on the site it was iso but it dont work, help!
Did you extract the file using 7 zip or win rar?
Not in the drop down is there another way to find it.
The standalone installer actually asks if you want the installation to be portable, so dont worry about downloading the wrong one.
As can be configured to start as a boot iso (full)?, With the configuration that shows on the video the games start as boot ISO (fast) and in some games it produces incomplete readings, It only happens in games with Multi Language
I already fixed it, I had to add the "--fullboot" command

I didn't realise PAL games only ran at 50 FPS. I wonder how that affected fighting games like Tekken, since most fighting games are universally built to run at 60 FPS.
Thats why we never win the big fighting games tournaments our timing is off 😂

For some reason anything i try to import has weird file names, no game names. how do i fix this?
LaunchBox tries to deduce what the name of the game is based on the file name. Make sure that the files you are importing into LaunchBox begin with the name of the game.

I'm not sure why but every time I try to run a game it gets to the first loading screen and then hang there, never getting any further. Does anyone know why this is happening?

from where do you download ps2 games?
Not really legal to download them off the internet, that would be piracy and is illegal in many countries. However, if you have your own disks you can use a few programs to get the ROM files off them, which is legal. Just look up a couple more tutorials.

@@lucas23453 Well, but just the fact you are emuling a game, already can be considered piracy, so...
I've never found pcsx2 to be as reliable as other ems like Dolphin or Demul. It does work, but it's very reliant on so many hacks and workarounds. Very often run into issues with it. Still, it's the only game in town and PS2 is obviously an essential console with many many exclusives and we are lucky to have it. Still, my fantasy is that the Dolphin team would create a new PS2 emu from the ground up...

Must just be me as usual, bs doesn't wanna work files moving around isn't making it work either. Step by step to the T. Using a 1900dollar gaming pc, isnt working. Easy setup would be someone making the damn emulator stuff run without users having to shift every god damn thing to make it run. This here that there, why don't one of you super geniuses set it up and put the completed setup out for release? How long have emulators been around and the smartest ones can't pull it off, thats friggin hilarious to me. I have a pretty expensive pc. Some people have garbage, this isnt. This makes it sound easy but then moving this file to here and that there oh and dont forget this and that, its alot of crap for a game man.
