Great review.... Have you tried charging the P30 with the charger that comes with the P30 pro(40 watt) to check if it actually charges faster that way?

I am wondering the quality of printed photos from p30 pro. Can anyone advise?
I'm getting this one because of the 5x optical zoom, compliments my 35mm mirrorless perfectly. I don't really care about specs as i won't care/notice the small difference if any other phone has better hardware, the only thing i care about is camera and the low-light and zoom is what separates it from others on a big scale. The mono speaker doesn't bother me at all either as i would never listen to music straight out of my phone. The downside is the missing headphone jack, but since i have bluetooth headphones it doesn't matter much either.
You can also buy a USB type C adapter with a headphone jack so imo thats not an issue either.
What do you think of the screen colour? Would you say it is accurate? I changed from a one plus 3t and found myself finding the one plus 3t screen colour nicer... But I don't know if the p30 colour screen is more accurate or not.. I have been taking pics on the p30 pro, and sent the photo to the one plus 3t and found it looks nicer
Same here, though I came from a Oneplus 6.
But colors on the P30 look pale and a touch too cool on the P30 compared to the Oneplus. I really miss the contrast and punchy colors of the Oneplus, but I think I get used to the P30 screen. You can adjust color tone and temperature in the settings. I turned on vivid mode and warm temperature (not the "warm" setting, but custom) and now it still looks a little pale compared to Oneplus, but not so cold anymore.
Clearly uncertainty about firmware upgrades down the line DOES undermine the value proposition somewhat 🤔

At least P20 works with AT&T
It'll definitely work on T-Mobile and AT&T, but you may run into issues using it on Verizon.

No, but has slot for nano memory card. Only Huawei phones use them.... so far anyway. Can be found on Amazon. The card is the same shape as nano SIM card.
P30 telephoto camera has 3x optical zoom.
P30 Pro for zoom and low light photos
S10 for media consumption ( for great speakers and display) and video recording
Xs for loosers

I actually didn't know P30 Pro does not have stereo speakers, which are absolutely demanded from an 1000 € phone! Every feature known should be in there. Given this fact, this phone is not that enticing, but for a mobile photographer, it seems there is no better choice. The long battery life is also welcome when you shoot a lot. This almost feels like a niche device compared to Galaxy S10s, since you really don't win in much, though smoother operation is a big deal.
I have to say S10s and these P30s are in the end compromises for their price. Once again I would choose Sony phone over these, since I don't care that much if I don't get the best camera in the world if the device is otherwise pleasing and interesting.
Ye no stereo is a complete failure. Can't use this as my main media consumption device.
@Khalid s10 has it all. In the comparisons available even the camera on the s10 is better, video also. The only thing where the p30 pro wins is in zoom and night shots.
Well, I guess it's all about personal preference.

however if you are just a casual consumer like me, then I think s10+, note 9, iPhone xs are the better options only because they provide a more refined experience

I hawei Huawei P30 Pro and it dose not hawe 8Gigs off ram but 6 and fingerprint reader is no accurate,everry few days i must reset and registred new fingerprint....
P30 has IP53, that's enough to shower it with water

Very very very bad user interface in all Huawei phones.... Plus, the price is ridiculously high. The only selling mechanism for selling such a phone is really strong marketing and PR. Otherwise it would not sell.
Project Z Have you ever used EMUI. One of my favourite settings is having a notification shade on the dock. A little thing like that makes such a big difference especially as the shade on the rear fingerprint sensor is disappearing from phones. Double tap to screenshot, knuckle swipe to split screen and lock apps in app launcher. Also app lock, Private Space and file safe. On my Mate 20X I can use the m-pen to take notes and shortcuts. It has a wireless DeX. Like the iphone it has Assistive Control. Raise to wake and the usual volume down for taking photos. Has many other features and I never get why reviewers and people like you whine about it. Tell us what is wrong with it compared to your beloved Samsung that has been crap for 7 out of the last ten years?
@@andyH_England One UI has more features, less bugs and looks better. EMUI looks disgusting, and I say that as a P30 Pro user who comes from a S10+.
