    I used to not like the Strix lineup aswell, thought it was "too much".
    I went to the store and found one to try and the "touch&feel" is amazing. It is plastic but it feels damn great, also the touchpad and the keyboard are extremely precise. First hand experience differs immensely from what you see on a screen.

      I have the Strix G16 (i7 13650HX + 4060) and it is such a joy to use. Personally I would've preferred a 1440p panel but the 1080p is workable. Also would've preferred a numpad too with per key rgb but 4 zone is the next best thing. AND I CAN RUN CYBERPUNK ON RT OVERDRIVE tho with a bit of frame dips, how cool is that! It's so hard to use my legion pro 7i as a laptop now, so I hooked it up as my 2nd desktop machine to my alienware 34" oled. Seriously, once you go mini-led or a good oled, you can't go back. • @davitdavid7165
      @davitdavid7165 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@oriontechtips1980 depends. The strix 17 is massive, if you don't move the laptop around much it will demolish both of the others. Big screen should make it more comfortable as well. Has a numpad
      The g14 is the smallest and has the smallest screen. If you really want to move it around and then are planning on using an external monitor, maybe a keyboard when home it is best.
      G16 if you want to carry it around somewhat, don't want an external monitor and are okay with it's memory config (only one with no sodium slots). The g16 also seems to have the best speakers and. Stuff like that if you are used to MacBooks.

    • @davitdavid7165
      @davitdavid7165 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@Havanu81 I disagree.
      Every person has their own weight and size requirements and can give up different things to get there.
      The g16 is very thin, to achieve that they had to solder the ram (I don't like that) and heavily limit the power of the 4080 and 4090 versions. All of the internal space of a 16 inch monitor is used for a 2nd m.2 slot and big speakers. As a headphone user and someone who wants an Ethernet port and like to keep tech running for as long as possible this is a combination of poor choices.
      There can never be a perfect laptop. Large screens, big battery, high powered quiet cooling, big speakers, big ports-all of them come at a cost of the size and weight of a laptop.
      Some people want all of these features and only transport the laptop from desk to desk or by car. Others want something absolutely tiny they can balance on one hand for minutes at a time and do not care about gaming or other comforts. This makes the laptop market exiting, but also means that your ideal laptop might be a very expensive model or one that does not even exist. I was personally looking for an egpu laptop with upgradable ram, zen5 CPU with lots of power, a glass trackpad for longevity and a fast port to connect the GPU, ideally in a small 14 inch size. I don't think that laptop exists. I may have to buy arrow lake, get by with the igpu and build a PC later or buy another laptop with a newer GPU.

I am a student so I do take my laptop around if I go with the scar 17 I could put it in a backpack with wheels to lighten the load, but there’s no denying it is the heaviest out of the three laptops in terms of your comment about the G 14. I do have an external monitor keyboard and mouse that I use at home, however I am still using my laptop often in class, at the library, in the coffee shop, the train, at hotels, and at friends houses, etc. where I don’t have access to those peripherals. I do think the G 16 would be a good sweet spot but the fact that it only comes with 32 GB of non-upgradable ram stings a little bit if they offered a 64 GB model I would feel a lot more comfortable buying it because I want my laptop to last for a long time.

      @@NotebookcheckReviews My Intel 10th generation Razer 15 Advanced has now slowed to a crawl and should be replaced SOON; is it 'safe' to buy one of the Intel models you reviewed herein? Please compare the list of Intel processors which have had degradation issues to the Intel processors contained in these just reviewed laptops. Nomenclature of Intel CPU names still has me confused as to which to avoid. Thank you.

    Love this comparisson! I own a legion pro 7 and I can take it anywhere without it screaming "gamer", but I like the lenovo legion 9 better. I am very excited about the upcoming laptops for 2025 and the new generation of Nvidia graphics cards. I hope they aim to play 4k with decent/high refresh rates

      Thanks for watching! I wish they would be a MiniLED/OLED option for the Pro7. That would make it even better.

      @@NotebookcheckReviews yes but i cant wait... and bought it today... with 4090 maxed out, i think its not such big deal, mostly i concerned more about PWM of panels... there are some really bad OLEDs on market, same as cheap miniLEDs
