    Beautiful! And very relaxing.
But it leaves me with questions- what does the name mean?
And where is that lovely forest? I’m guessing it’s pretty far in the north, like near the Canadian border of Maine, or maybe actually in Canada.

The forest is in Finland... The first goodbye is for the listener to decide what it means to them.

Well, I guess I had the “north” part right, haha. Finland, how neat!
“The First Goodbye” doesn’t really mean anything to me, maybe because I feel like I’ve said so many goodbyes, I can’t remember or imagine what the first was like. Or maybe because the music doesn’t sound like a goodbye to me.
David Lanz has a piece called “The Long Goodbye,” which I ended up learning as my mom was slowly dying of cancer. I didn’t know Mom was dying when I chose the piece, I just wanted to learn it because I loved it. It had always given me a slight melancholic feeling, but after Mom died, the name of the piece became very poignant and meaningful to me.
Anyway, maybe I’ll come up with a meaning for “The First Goodbye” sometime. In the meantime, I’ll just enjoy listening to it. As a sometime amateur composer myself, my experience has been that coming up with names for pieces is sometimes more difficult than actually writing the music. I see now why so many classical composers would just call things “Waltz in A flat” and such like.
And finally, I think “The Last Goodbye” would be an intriguing title for a piece. Maybe if inspiration strikes, I’ll see what I can come up with.
