    TU. THIS should be at the top of the google tube algorithm for the GMMK2 period. Great job!

    Great Review! I hope you go bigtime I really appreciate reviews using the perspective of a normal person instead of a hype reviewer who would say in every single video that "this is the best ...." Goodluck brother!

      Hey I really appreciate the feedback. I was fortunate to be early on this one. I try to be as real as possible. I mean isn't that what reviews are about?

    Thanks for the review on this board. I'm really considering picking up one of these soon.
    On the note about the Red Fox linears not being on the market to buy individually: I'm sure the reason for this is because they _know_ the switches are that good and they want to trap people in their own product ecosystem by making them exclusive to their boards. HyperX does the same thing with their products. They might say "It's because we don't have hot-swappable boards," but not having hot-swappable boards is the way they keep people in their ecosystem.
    On a final note: if HyperX or Glorious ever decided to put their linear reds on the market, I'm sure they would sell out in a day lol.

    I had an internal debate on whether to get the 65% or the 96%. I ended up settling for the 65% and figured I'd pick up an external numberpad if I really missed it. Can't wait for it to arrive.

      I love the footprint of a 65. I have 2 other 65s already 😂. I was just really impressed with how small they got the 96%. I’m sure you’ll enjoy yours immensely

    good video
    i learned a lot of this keyboard thanks to u
    do u recommend me buying it? (considering the price)
    also we could say gmmk 2 is like a "modded" keyboard right?

      It all comes down to what you are looking for. If you are new to the market, it's a great entry point that gives you a fully functional board for the moment you open the box, and has a lot of room for modifications. I find this board hits the sweet spot where you can do as much or as little to it as you like. It will feel good from go.

    is that a stupid question from me, but looking at the photos and even some videos, I feel like keycaps on 65% version are kinda bigger than on fullsize, that is just probably and optical illusion right? ps. if yes, what keycaps are different sized on the full size version than on 65% version?
    Thanks for replying :)

    • @liquidmaverick2306
      @liquidmaverick2306  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I happen to have both. The buttons are identical EXCEPT the two buttons to the lower right of the space bar. On the 96%, there are three buttons all 1u (control, alt, and function). On the 65% there are only two buttons both 1.25u (no control on this side).
      Hope this helps!

    This might be a stupid question but are the keycaps for 96% smaller than the standard keycap size? Especially those arrow keys

    so those fox switches are only compatible in that model?

    • @liquidmaverick2306
      @liquidmaverick2306  ปีที่แล้ว

      They aren't only compatible with the GMMK2. They are universal for any mechanical keyboard. However, you can't buy these switches independently.

    after 2 years i wanna ask you someting i know the keycaps are made from ABS so after 2 years is there any problems about keycaps or switches ? i dont know are you still using this keyboard but if you are please tell me because i wanna buy this keyboard if its still okay (i am using razer blackwidow v2 green switches but I'm starting to hate this sound) also need hotswap keyboard

    • @liquidmaverick2306
      @liquidmaverick2306  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes the keycaps are ABS. But I will say that the quality is higher than some others I have used. They last a good while before they start to shine. Overall I would say it's a nice board. However, the mechanical keyboard market is shifting rapidly. If you are in the market for a plug and play, this is a pretty great option. If you want to do a decent amount of tinkering, there are some other incredible options out there. They Rainy75 is one of them. But finding it in stock is difficult at the moment.

      @@tolgaayyldz6841 If you options are limited and this one is available, I will say it's a nice board. It is really nice right out of the box without any modifications. I don't know your previous experience with switch varieties, but greens are very tactile and clicky. The GMMK2 comes with linears. I used to be a tactile swtich main, but have make the transition to linears and haven't looked back. The really nice aspect is if you find you don't like linears, the board is hotswap so you can replace with any switch you like.
      Also, depending on which one you get (65% or 98%), the 98% is a smaller form factor than the blackwidow. I like it much better as it doesn't mean I have to have my mouse super far away. I hope this information is helpful for you!

    I found the sound almost too muted, especially the backspace and enter keys which felt dampened and a bit strange to me
