As a former wig and weave wearer, I must say, us Black women really, really need to go back to wearing our natural hair/natural hairstyles. Looking at photos from the past, our natural beauty is radiant, exotic, unique. It makes us stand out from the others--and that is a beautiful thing. Our pretty privilege is in our natural hair.
Can the glue that is used to reinforce the wig cause the edges to recede?
Facts!! For over 10 years, only wear my natural hair or braids and the braids is maybe twice in the year…refuse to lose all my edges for a temporary style!!
I see our Queens getting balder everyday. I used to braid my hair once a 1to 2yrs. I'm now salt and pepper and wear it short,I love my natural hair.

This is the second video that I’ve watched. You do hair with people who have no edges no front. The back of the hair is long, but they have no edges and you see what the Lord allows you to see my goodness Girl praise God.🙌🏽
Yes. And you see, were the wig lace front fits right on the no edges part. When you take off the lace front, it pulls all the front and edges hairs out with all that glue paste to it.

Go natural ladies! I permed my hair for the longest till my hair dresser encouraged me to go natural. I’m so glad I did! My hair is stronger, healthier and so full. I get a lot of compliments on hair since I went natural and it feels good

So glad that is working out.... FOR YOU!! Natural hair is work and product trial n error , which = $$. I'm not saying it's not good, just not good for everyone. People who " go natural " are like people who smoked for years, stop, then start picking on smokers. I'm natural ( not by choice, 7 years ) I know it's a struggle at times. Not at all as easy as people try to say, unless u are doing the barber thing weekly or biweekly.
She needs to lay off the wig glue right on her scalp too? Try Biotin, nuts, water, fresh food, oil massages, go glueless with a wig grip.
I do a relaxer touch up only 4 times per year & only colour rinses. Hair is healthier!

This hairdresser is blessed bcz she bleses her clients. Every hairdresser Ive ever gone to has abused my hair, chopped it, pulled it too tight, put in too much extension hair so they could increase the bill 🙄 so I stopped going to them all. I live in Boston and Ive NEVER seen any gifted stylists featured that are in Boston. This lady is amazing

It’s so hard for us living with these conditions and medications that cause our hair loss to find someone gifted with those blessed hands to help us look and feel natural. Only the Lord knows what I’ve been through and spent before deciding to go bald and although I look amazing bald and no makeup, I think I’ll be booking an appointment just to allow those hands and products to bless my scalp one more time…

This is the same hairstyle that I'm getting for my cruise in the beginning of next year. The only difference is I have enough hair in the front I wont need the frontal piece with the baby hairs.
