Austrian Audio has quickly become one of my favorite mic mfrs. They are really doing some great stuff for the price. I have an OC818 and it's amazing on anything I throw at it. I like it so much on electric guitar. Amazing.

Great demo and I am definitely going to be checking this Michael… Across the board on the guitar playing every time you took the third pass, which I think is the 150 cut… Especially Strumming that is perfect because that helps that guitar sit in the mix maybe if you’re a solo, maybe like a Tommy Emanuel kind of guy the 50 would be the one, but even if the vocals, the 150 really worked well, that would be great for background vocalist for sure… And your vocals are good not a bad tone

Very nice! At first I was not a fan of the tone but then I saw it was a Taylor. Great guitar but not my sound. I hope that doesn’t come across wrong. Anyway, all that to say the mic is doing a great job getting a clean transparent sound that sounds just like a Taylor. Wow. I am getting one so thanks for this video!!! Love the bloopers!

And not to blow smoke up your ass man, but I thought your vocals were solid. Its a great sound for that classic rock/folk rock sound. And I could hear it in front of blues as well. Good job man! I’ve tried a trackball but never cared for it. That said, I’m pretty sure most prefer it. I don’t do a ton with my mouse, I have a couple UF8’s as well as my Loupdeck CT that are all customizable which covers most things. The Loupdeck is designed to be a control surface for video editing but also works very well in most DAW’s.

Have you tried the Ehrlund EHR-M? It uses a triangular membrane. You may find it very different from any round and square membrane capsules.

What kind of desk do you have Barry? I couldn't find any videos of it on your channel, it would be cool to see your desk setup.
It’s a 90 series Argosy desk that was made for anD-Command but when I moved away from ProTools I modified it to fit all rack gear.
