My family had too much going on at that point to also deal with any more hurricane seasons like 2005, so we moved to Atlanta the following year. We didn't have a generator, neither did many of our neighbors, so we were at the mercy of any neighbors who were able and willing to help the rest of us. I remember my mom cried when a neighbor brought us some ice and some non-perishable food

The storm started off by moving slow and after landfall in Florida, she decided to go fast before dissipating
