This is what she eats in a day. Never once did she say this is what YOU should eat. I personally eat double what she eats in a day and have no plans of changing that, however I still enjoyed this video & I feel inspired to eat more organically. Thanks Alba!
rhianna snyder Thank You. I think those who have seen me and my figure can tell im not one to follow diets, counting calories etc... I just eat what I feel I want based on what I have and what I feel is healthy but some people failed to see or acknowledge that I am just like them. I eat differently everyday so sometimes I eat more, sometimes too much and sometimes not enough but I was satisfied on this particular day. If I didnt eat enough I would not look the way I look. I am not skinny and Im not trying to be. I could eat a burger and fries and keep eating but on this day this is what I got.
+SunKissAlba i do the watermelon thing ALOT atleast 3 times a week 😂😂😂 its so good. i add chia seeds on top of it fills me up so much more and keepa me full forever
I think people underestimate how filling watermelon, sweet potatoes, and eggs are. After eating a FULL watermelon, you are not going to be hungry any time soon lol. She also drinks a green smoothie and eats broccoli in the morning. That is an excellent energy booster. Plus she is continuously snacking (dried mangos, cocounut chips, raspberries) and drinking tons of fluids. This diet will actually fill you instead of leave you hungry. Foods with fast carbs, sugars, and fats will leave you craving for more. I personally would add almond milk and fish to the diet, but Alba can get any missing nutrients through supplements.
That sounds so bomb! Target has these gmo free, vegan, chocolate chip, and banana muffins. Only 100 calories and delicious! You make me wanna make salmon for dinner!
If she eats more, people are going to say she's eating unhealthy. If she eats this amount people say it's unhealthy. Whatever she eats, people will be criticizing. I guess food is a touchy subject. I happen to eat a lot more, and a lot less healthy. When she makes these kinds of videos, it encourages me to eat more healthy, so thank you Alba for this video. I'm gonna make a green juice now.
Depending on how active she was during that specific day, this was a very normal meal. Usually if I'm just at home for the day, I eat just as much as this if not less. She stated in the beginning of the video "I don't eat the same thing everyday", so there is no reason why everyone should be judging her for what she wants to nourish herself with.
Lol your screen name is "The masterbaiter" anything you say is just funny and no one cares. That question was meant to be rhetorical...required no answer from you but thanks anyways:)
I never realized how hard it can be to put yourself out there on TH-cam until today. This young woman chose to share something with her viewers and got a lot of comments that could have been withheld had the commenter really listened to what she was saying in the video in the first place. She reiterated the fact that she doesn't eat this way everyday all day. Nor were these the exact portions. She knows what's best for her and her family. Let's stop looking for something to be wrong and listen to what she is actually saying. Accept or not accept and keep it moving people. Good grief!! Kudos to you Alba for putting yourself out there and sharing a part of your life with your viewers. I appreciate your dedication to being healthy. It takes a lot of discipline and evaluating and re-evaluating. Kudos again to you and your hubby.
I think it's great that you are eating very healthy and that you are aware of what you put into your body BUT you seriously need to eat more! If you eat like this everyday that is very unhealthy:/ Unless you don't move at all, but really, a juice, some veggies and fruit and half a potato with egg? I am skinnier then you but I eat probably double what you showed! This is sending the wrong message in my opinion with the quantity of food. Why do all youtube beauty gurus eat so little? Like really, less then 1000 calories
exacrtly!! I tried eating like this and I got terrible acid reflux because my stomach was producing too much acid for the food it WASNT receiving! I started eating double, and then triple the same foods she eats but /double/triple the quantity and adding things on in moderation(like dark chocolate with frozen raspberries for example)!! I am very petite at 5'3 I was close to 100 lbs which did not look good on me. I'm finally back to 115 lbs and I feel and look so much healthier and sexier!
exactly! Heres an example of what I ate today(not bragging, just stating) - and no grumbling, no acid reflux, I feel balanced. Breakfast 2 cups of black tea with creamer 2 eggs 1 gluten free strawberry pop tart(hey its that time) Lunch 3 cups of water 1 triple layer (big) sandwich with avocado, mayo, tomato, kale, and bacon Apple Celery Half a croissant Dinner Large serving Seasoned rice Sauteed string beans Sauteed mushrooms 2 pieces of baked salmon Dessert Dark chocolate frozen mixed berries Glass of red wine 2 cups of water
You shouldn't judge or make assumptions based on what someone ate on one day, it's not in good taste, darling. Not to mention, you can really only vouch for your body, you are unable to determine what is and isn't healthy for someone else.
***** exactly totally agree. As a certified nutritionist as well as PT for over 10 years I can say this is definitely not a banned diet & can easily send someone to an eating disorder or to a malnutrious body easily. Even those who eat RAW eat twice as much as she shown in this video.
***** and too, she's clearly trying to eat to be relatively full but isn't eating enough, that's why she ate that entire half of watermelon & keep stating that if you eat this entire half it'll half you full & not hungry etc. I'm a health nut totally, therefore I'm not going to eat an entire watermelon to fill me up, LOL. I think I will have something to not only nourish my body but give me energy like a grilled chicken sandwich on whole grain bread filled with lettuce & tomatoes & maybe a slice of water melon or two, that's a balanced meal. It seems that she craves sugar a lot too from what she showed, the big thing of watermelon, the dessert. When ppl crave sugar & prefer to snack on sweet like foods are ppl obtaining a strike diet. I like this woman but clearly she's not eating to nourish her body, she's eating to obtain being thin. I don't care how many calories that added up to be what she showed. Calories do not matter. If you're taking calories out (burning calories) then it doesn't matter the amount of energy you take in (calories in.) For my height & weight my daily calorie intake shouldn't be no more between 15-17 hundred calories. Guess what, I eat well over 2 thousand in a day (I never count) & I don't gain or lose but maintain because I work out, I'm active. Had I eaten what she ate I wouldn't have much energy to work out regardless if she takes supplements or not.
I never understand how people can feel full without a balance of protein fat and fiber. The green juice is delicious because I drink it regularly, but that could never hold me over as a breakfast in itself! I usually have to add half of an avocado to it and even then I'm hungry 1.5 hours later. But I know everyone responds differently to different diets. Obviously you know your body and your skin says a lot about how healthy you are so I'm glad it's working out well for you
This is a good video and it showcases clean eating well. To everyone that's being a harsh critic allow me to remind you of what she said in the beginning. She said that this is not how she eats everyday. So please don't go and just bash her when you've only seen less than 8 minutes of a day in her life.
omg i totally understand your view on not labelling yourself. why not take the best from all the food diets? I'm a little bit of vegan, mostly vegetarian and open to meat if it's a special occasion (or if there's bacon involved lol). and YAS to the fact you know about that glass/bpa free life. can you tell me what brand your glass bottles are?
***** thanks :) and i don't think its insulting because their level of commitment has nothing to do with the way i eat. I'm not calling myself vegan, I just tend to stay away from non-vegan things
simplyshama I'm the exact same way! I tend to get in as much vegetables in my day, eat sausages ( love 'em!) in the summer which adds up to a maximum of 5 a year at most etc. :)
I'm not sure which would come first, my taste buds dying or me starving, lol. When I saw what she ate for dinner my jaw was literally on the floor. I was just like, "That's all!, where's the meat?!?" But hey, to each his own right? Her lifestyle is really clean.
She doesn't need meat to survive. But the quantity of her food is ridiculous lol. 1 potato 1 brocoli and an egg ..lol I would die of starvation. I guess she doesn't eat much.
I'm a vegetarian, so the lack of meat didn't bother me... but this sort of diet SURELY can't be healthy. Also, its so bland... and some people can't afford all this "organic" stuff she's talking about.
Luna Blue I don't think this video was so much of a recommendation for those who want to eat clean, more like a clarification of her diet and her way of eating. So I don't think the fact that some people can't afford it is really relevant.
I don't know if anyone said this Alba, but your hair looks like a short haircut, and it looks great! I know you hear this a lot, but God has truly blessed your family with beauty. Continue to use it to lift Him up so that He draws all men unto Himself.
I would be starving if I ate so little....but I have a lot of respect for people who live the true organic and healthy lifestyle! Thumbs up for that! (organic meat can also contain antibiotics which is nasty)
probably because you are giving your body adequate amounts of calories while it appears that there is a calorie deficient in this video. correct me if im wrong.
Serena Elisa I think she does it for health rather than for being skinny. I know plenty of skinny 20 year olds and they have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, terrible heart rate, etc.
I am 20 and skinny ( high metabolism). I eat like a pig. I can tell you that I am not the healthiest person. But albas way of eating is tooo much. It is less than 1000 calories a day. But skinny doesn't mean healthy and "vegan" and eating only a potato a day is not healthy too.
freelee the banana girl (also a youtuber) lives the "raw till 4" lifestyle, she is vegan and consumes probably about 3000 calories (sorry if I`m wrong). She is super fit and her blood test was/is fine. It`s not healthy to eat that little even though it`s good food. Your body needs a certain amount of calories. Eating so little can affect the body in a bad way.
***** Thanks so much! Almost 6 weeks into it and 20lbs down... It's like a spirtual healing for me also its so reviving mentally and physically. The crazy part is how I never realized how many harmful chemicals and processed food I was consuming. It was a slow suicide. This has been challenging but its defiantly worth it!
I will have to agree with many of these comments. As a master student in nutrition and a soon to be dietitian I am concerned that you are not getting enough calories, protein and calcium. Each meal should contain a protein, carb and fat. Dinner was the only one that had all three.
Hey girl! I've recently started my beauty and vlog channel and I would love for you to check out my channel in your spare time and subscribe if you enjoy! I have a lot of new and exciting videos to come in 2015! Xoxo, Amari
why do you feel the need to mention that you are a "nutritionist" ? honestly, nobody cares. esp not during these modern times. you are part of an INDUSTRY and you were taught how to make money for a BUSINESS. you would be broke if people were healthy so all of your comments are invalid when it comes to a diet.
Moni C the reason why I mention it is because technically anyone can say they are a nutritionist, but only a select view actually study and go through the process of becoming a registered dietitian. It's not just simply telling people to eat vegetables and lose weight. Dietetic field is much more complicated and broader than people realize. From helping people recover from major 3rd degree burns to educating diabetic patients on proper eating to research, it is a very broad field that requires a high level of science background. We are required to know metabolism and what happens when we eat different macro and micro nutrients on the molecular level. We have to know how to treat patients nutritionally who are sick and preventative care. By stating my background I am simply stating my credentials of someone who actually went to school and did a 1200hr internship. Not to brag, but so that people will not take my word as a simple nutritionist that got their information from non reliable sources. There is a lot of false nutritional information, and I feel it is important to speak up if someone is at a nutritional risk.
Stacie Ellis Actually, as i mentioned to someone else u are not supposed to mix carb and protein i wont explain it again but u can research it its not good for digestion and causes your food to sit in ur gut. Im surprised many nutritionists do not know that maybe thats more of a science thing? idk. From personal experience when i stopped mixing certain things together, such as that, my bloating went away and i felt better digestive wise less gas. Vegetables are really good with carb or protein. If this theory has been debunked please share and explain. Thanks.
spideywidey100da your body cannot absorb protein without carbs. In order for your muscles to stay strong and other organs carbs are needed to utilize the protein. Also vegetables are considered a source of carbohydrates, including fruit, grains, and dairy. Bloating can be caused by a number of things. Everyone's body is different. Some people are more sensitive to carbs than others. Sometimes it is simply a type of food, the amount of a food or a combination of foods that can cause GI issues. Also our bodies are a lot smarter than people give credit for. You can most certainly eat a well balanced meal with carbs proteins and fats. Our body knows how to digest it all with out any problems. That is another myth that has not been proven. It would be impossible for us to consume enough nutrients in a day if we eat only one food item at a time. Most Americans are already deficient in many nutrients, even the overweight ones. That method is not backed with enough research to be adequate and is more likely to cause more harm than good. Like I said, there is a lot of false information out there about nutrition. Don't fall victim to all the gimmicks and fads. They are always changing, and money is the driving force of it.
Do you eat this little everyday? If not, why didn't you show us/ film on a day where you didn't. You basically showed us juice, watermelon, and a potato.
The point of her video is to show different ways she eats healthy food during the day...its a video, that simple. Everyone needs to stop judging honestly -__-. Her video is edited to show examples, not a whole buffet of food. She isn't saying this is what everyone should eat. As long as you know your body and are giving it the nutrients it needs, you should be healthy...whether it's as a vegetarian or carnivore, making healthier decisions is key!! :)
Amazing to see people taking care of their eating habits with so much fruit and vegetable. My personal experience, I have felt the most energized and alive after eating an abundance of fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, and seeds. Upping your calories with fruits and vegetables will not force you to put on weight, but will energize and empower your life. Ditch the fat-filled animal products, and eat cleanly for optimal body and health.
I love that you aren't labeling yourself. also, I eat all those foods but you eat them differently than I do, so I was honestly so tickled that now i have new ways to eat my favorite healthy foods!
I love this video for a number of reasons. I love that you're using your platform to spread awareness about healthy eating! Secondly, I often run out of ideas and his helps me break out of my food rut. Third, I love that you're teaching your son good food practices through your actions. Thanks so much for this Alba!
My two cents: I am not sure what Mrs. SunKissAlba profession is but for me personally, I need more calories to get me through my day. I think some positive points from this video is her avoidance from refined sugars, her adequate hydration and who doesn't enjoy a vitamin packing green juice in the morning. Now if you actually read then you know that organic doesn't necessarily mean more nutritious. For examples, organic fruit and vegetables may still have pesticides on them but much less than your regular counterpart. Now knowledge is power and a healthier lifestyle starts with something basic such as reading. A book that I found to be a blessing was "The Beauty Detox Solution by Kimberly Snyder, C.N and Back to Eden by Jethro Kloss (oldie but goodie). Sadly, being healthier in this country is more costly which I truly believe is on purpose but that is another story. Yet, one can definitely eat healthier on a budget if one is committed. Lastly, I would encourage us all to check out the companies that we are purchasing products from, i.e: what is your mission statement? your beliefs? I mention this since there is a great film called Food, Inc that is definitely worth the watch. Food is obviously a business and sadly, the American public's health is not a priority. I think in all, Mrs. SunKIssAlba is highlighting something positive which is conscious living.
My only critique is that your protein intake is way too low. You eat a lot more carbs than I do but everyone has different needs. I have to eat very low carb to keep my weight down. You are so beautiful!
junbug1029 I answered this protein concern in the video i linked at the end and didnt realize i needed to repeat it just incase some people didnt see it. but basically I consume Spirulina daily which contains more protein than meat and vegetables. I also ate tons of Kale in this video and I use my supplements from Mercola.com and NaturalNews.com as a daily nutrition help added on to the raw veggies and fruit I eat which all have vitamins and of course protein. to know more on my protein check out the video linked in the description bar where i place tons of info on all possible questions and my answers
I am high raw Vegan and you don't need more than 10% of protein from your daily calories. Everything you eat has protein in it. The big protein myth is a LIE. I guess the meat industry is doing a really good job at fooling people. I eat carbs all day long, my weight never changes no matter what I do.
blakebymharris That's because you are a young woman. Just wait until you turn 60, like I am. There's nothing wrong with eating meat if person wants to. Humans are omnivores and are no different than many of the mammals that eat meat and plants. It's personal choice. I never said to eat high protein, just low carb, especially sugar and even worse, grains. Do you know that farmers spray glyphosate (Round Up by Monsanto) on the grain crops just before harvesting? Look it up. It's horribly toxic stuff. We need a combo of protein and carbs and the ratio needed differs for everyone. I must stay very low carb or I gain weight.
junbug1029 I see alot of young women that have problem with weight and their not even in their 20s. "That's because you are a young woman. Just wait until you turn 60, like I am." so young doesn't explain why someone is fat or lean.
People complaining about the simplicity of her meals probably don't know that's how raw food eaters eat. In fact, raw food eaters wouldn't have even ate the eggs because you have to cook them, and they wouldn't have used the coconut oil or dressing or cooked the sweet potatoes either. And as for her portion sizes, people grossly overestimate how much a human needs to eat in a day. Hence why our country is so obese. Her eating looks very clean and full of healthy fats. There are leading cardiologists who suggest using NO oils because of the added fats, so she's actually not that extreme! Plus she is extremely beautiful and healthy in appearance, that says it all.
Havent you seen the news lately? Fat isnt bad for you nor does it cause heart disease. Doctors got it wrong 40 years ago about fat. Fat is the key to living longer. Sugar is the root of all evil. Canola oil, sunflower oil, grapeseed oil is bad. Girl you need to eat something. you look anorexic and unhealthy. That arm of yours need some real food!
I really wholeheartedly love your channel and love the healthy food suggestions that you do - maybe because I know how to source alot of the ingredients you show in London ethnic-shops. My parents are Islanders so I really feel in tune with how you live your life - you are such an inspiration!
I love the organic lifestyle! My mom raised us to love seafood and greens. You look great Alba and you have been missed! Will you consider vlogging? maybe once a week?
Thanks for sharing! I know that it isn't easy opening up about certain things, as EVERYONE has an option, but I commend you on your lifestyle choices. You and Manny have really encouraged me.
Hi Alba! I love your food choices, I believe that you have great ideas and are in the right track, however just because you eat foods that are nutritionally dense doesn't necessarily fulfill your body's requirements for optimal health. Based on this video on that particular day you ate about 700 calories which is very, very low. Also, like many have commented your diet is particularly low in protein, even with the eggs. On average, 25% of ones calories should come from protein. Hope this comment does not offend you, just wanted to share my input as a nutritionist.
Hi Alba, quick tip for you. If you bake the sweet potatoes first before you cut them they will keep all the natural sweetness and taste even yummier than they already d plus they are easier to cut this way.
i love your organic ways and how you influence other people to go organic s well. you are deff my favorite beauty guru!!! i started about a year ago getting into a healtier organic life style and i love that i can relate and especially with beauty products because no a lot of people review or make videos on orgaic make up
Love that you're eating so many whole, unprocessed foods. As a nutritionist, I feel that the processed foods are the ones causing a lot of the diseases-- not the fat in coconut oil, or the amounts we are eating. I see so many people who eat A LOT and are thin and healthy. Beautiful family!
Alba me encanto el vídeo! Todo lo que preparastes tiene una pinta deliciosa :) Adoro tus vídeos!!! Acabo de ver este y estoy deseando ver el próximo, gracias por otro vídeo tan genial. Besitos linda.
What about other essential vitamins in her diet? B-12 is an important nutrient and you get it mostly from eating meat and fish. The average adult should eat 2000 calories a day. What she ate was barely 1000 calories.
You are so inspiring. I want to educate myself on all of these things and carry on a healthier lifestyle, especially now that I am pregnant and have to set the best example for my son. It is really a shame how critically evil people can be as I read through the comments. I cannot stand how they assume and completely disregard facts that you state. One being what you happened to consume and share these meals on a random day. I pray none of the negative sinks through your skin and you continue to show and share ways to live longer- because that's what it is to me. I am almost 9 months preg. and I have felt so incredibly guilty because I cannot stop craving crappy fast food and SODA (I KNOW, HORRIBLE), it's just so hard to have all the independence in the world and say no to these things once they have a hold on you. Yesterday, precisely, I went to Goodwill and brought home a couple of cook books that all supported health and a safer lifestyle. It is a joy to come onto TH-cam on my down time and continue to be inspired and moved by people like you. Much love and respect to you, Alba!
OMG you are GLOWING.. I need to start eating like you because you're skin and body looks great and I can't help but feeling like its bc of your diet! ❤️
We have similar food choices! =D I love those coconut chips - they are so good! ^^ I've learned that it's faster to steam veggies than bake them (even eggs can be put in the steaming basket to become cooked like hard boiled eggs)! Dinner can be ready in ~15 minutes with a steamer, and it uses less energy!
Think it's awesome that you mostly eat plant based. Your are a great example for Latina women. I'm half Puerto Rican and have seen many of my family members suffer from health issues caused by the standard american diet. For the past year I eat only vegan and cheat when I go to restaurants (once per month) with some dairy or fish. I was drawn to the vegan lifestyle bc of chronic back pain. Suffered for 3 years until I became semi vegan. Thank you for your example and inspiration.
I'm late, but somehow I'm just finding out about her. I went to comment and saw many concerns; but in actuality, she used about one half cup or so of coconut oil on the sweet potato. The oil alone, if she did in fact use that amount, is 940 calories. This doesn't include the three or so liters of coconut water she mentioned, which is a little over 200 calories each liter. I count over 2,200 calories in total. The standard recommended for women to maintain their weight is 2,000.
Great video, great modeling of healthier food choices. And as you point out, better for our children, too! Just curious about your boiling choice. Boiling water is the most effective way to get rid of pathogens. Why is it that you feel you should still use filtered water? If you have good evidence or research please share. Thank you for the video :)
Thanks! And thanks for asking: through my research I've witness many experiments done by professionals and home water testing systems where different types of water are tested with a meter to specify how much Lead, Cadmium, chlorine and Flouride is left after boiling the water and it showed that the most toxic ones are actually enhanced to a higher potency of Flouride, and Lead which becomes more harmful to us than it was before boiling it. In NY our tap water is very harsh so the water filter for drinking water is helping to avoid large amounts of toxicity from our water system in this state. Since doing this I've experienced less muscle pain, joint pains, and bone locking which I use to get frequently before finding Berkey and Molecule. Check out the info i placed in the description bar and go to the molecule website or if your in NY walk into the store so they can prove in person the difference between Tap and filtered water + the dangers of its effects. :)
NYC actually has some of the best water! It comes from reservoirs in the Catskills mountains upstate. No metals to filter. Filtering removes most of the beneficial minerals.
Oooh yum that two-eggs/slices of sweet potato looks soo good! I'd like to include some brocolli in it to make a nice lunch or dinner :) Your ideas are fantastic, thank you sooo much.
Thanks for the video! I feel eating organically is definitely ideal but impractical for most. It is so expensive to eat all organic foods-- I bought a half cart of food once trying to be organic and it costed over $100 for just me. Its nice to say that we should eat organic but many of us do not have the luxury to do so.
I love these videos. I am trying to eat healthier but I need options. I want to find out what foods are best when cooked and seasoned a certain way. I am a college student living on campus with not alot of healthy options so it is so helpful to see what other people eat, how they cook it and what they pair it with. Thanks for sharing!
I do love this type of video. It gives me an idea of different ways I can prepare my meals. I'm not a vegetarian but I was raised on eating alot in my diet. However, I stop eating red meat 3yrs ago & I by body do feel better. Looking forward to more of this
Love the ideas of different meals. Their so simple and my son loves green juice also but I have to put a banana to sweeten it a little. You makes me want to educate myself and do research on how to live and eat much healthier. Thank you!
Thank you Alba! This is my kind of eating habit too, I was worried of being too health conscious, but this is what suits me! Now, I enjoy eating simple yet flavorful meals as you do! Thanks for the inspiration and good continuation!
One of the main differences between a vegan and a typical vegetarian diet is the avoidance of both eggs and dairy products such as milk, cheese, butter and yogurt. Ethical vegans do not consume dairy or eggs because they state that their production causes the animal suffering and/or a premature death.
I love how you incorporate the fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet. I've been trying to do that more. I love watermelons for monomeals...and coconut oil is the best, my natrupath recommended I cook with it.
Honestly, I have taken Albas tips and taps and used them to improve my personal daily diet. I still eat meat, but I'm more conscious about where my food comes from and the ingredients. I get my chicken from an Amish whole seller about 45 minutes from me. It's a bit of a drive, but the cost is about the same as the butcher, (I get bulk) and it tastes and cooks so much better! Thank you Alba for sharing your knowledge!
Hola Senora Alba!!!! I just love love love your videos!!! :) Everything looks so delicioso in this vid! (I seriously need to eat like this lol!!) I just have one question about boiling eggs... I searched up "boiling eggs in purified water" but nothing seemed to explain why to use purified water instead of tap water. Can u please explain this to me? Muchas Gracias!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are such an inspiration to me. You motivate me to make better choices for my family and I. All the negative comments people have come from a lack of knowledge. Continue to do what you are doing. Cause you are making a greater impact than you may know. God bless you and your adorable family.
I would love to see more videos like this! I think it's great that you don't label yourself one way or the other in terms of the way you eat. It may seem like she isn't eating a lot, but looks can be deceiving. Everything she ate is actually very filling. Very. You go girl! More videos like this!
Hello SunKissAlba, I really enjoy watching (was just about to type eating lol) your videos and find this one really interesting. I'm def going to try eating watermelon and see if it makes me full but when I think about it I can totally imagine it! I do have a question, in regards to hydrating food how does it work? Would u be able to do a video on how you do it, how your hydrator works, foods you can use etc or just a written response if possible. I'm liking the idea of doing it as a snack thank you so much for sparking ideas!!! Have a lovely day x
Great video, I like to eat healthy also, I will be looking for the coconut chips and trying the potato in coconut water. I would like to see you do a video showing what foods to eat for glowing and clear skin. Thanks
I have no idea why everyone in the comments became some health certified doctors or whatever, but she clearly states that this is what she ate for ONE day. Hell, sometimes I end up eating about two meals a day, and the next day I chow down. It's not a diet, she didn't show her full portions, she's just showing us what she ate for one day. You all and your "top knowledge certified" comments need to go. Not everyone's body works the same, if she's still up and functioning, then so be it. Also, "what I ate TODAY".
I think that a haul video or a even a vlog maybe of you food shopping would be so helpful, you're my biggest inspiration for everything. hair, nutrition, and the way of thinking about things and not only for me, but for my best friend and for my boyfriend ! (He thinks he's manny) 😂 I'm Dominican too so I understand the Dominican struggle and the way we think sometimes I feel like a video like this can help my mom push herself to buy healthy things for the house because I do make her watch your videos ! Haha this video was helpful tho !
Remix: sweet potato + baked salmon + side salad (tomato, cucumber, mango with olive oil based dressing) + dessert = vegan chocolate cupcake with grounded flaxseed + sunflower seeds + dried coconut in the batter,... Girl, you'll feel full AND healthy!
***** lool, the point is to eat healthy and tasty
That actually sounds very tasty! I'm going to try it! :p
That sounds so bomb! Target has these gmo free, vegan, chocolate chip, and banana muffins. Only 100 calories and delicious! You make me wanna make salmon for dinner!
Dang gurl thnxs!
Chik FromMtl thanks honey for the idea. Younmmmmy
Struggle meal 101. 2 eggs and a potato for dinner? I guess.
*half a potato
Lol "struggle meal"
lmao, this comment is killing me
^^Why are you trolling everyone's comments??LOL
Breakfast
2 cups of black tea with creamer
2 eggs
1 gluten free strawberry pop tart(hey its that time)
Lunch
3 cups of water
1 triple layer (big) sandwich with avocado, mayo, tomato, kale, and bacon
Apple
Celery
Half a croissant
Dinner
Large serving
Seasoned rice
Sauteed string beans
Sauteed mushrooms
2 pieces of baked salmon
Dessert
Dark chocolate
frozen mixed berries
Glass of red wine
2 cups of water
Obviously you know your body and your skin says a lot about how healthy you are so I'm glad it's working out well for you
Some of y'all didn't read her description box. Reading is fundamental kids. Love you Alba!
Haha yes the glass bottles I will place names for tonight when I get home and update the description bar. I forgot to put that in :)
I'm totally the same! Minus the bacon haha I never really liked it
***** thanks :) and i don't think its insulting because their level of commitment has nothing to do with the way i eat. I'm not calling myself vegan, I just tend to stay away from non-vegan things
simplyshama I'm the exact same way! I tend to get in as much vegetables in my day, eat sausages ( love 'em!) in the summer which adds up to a maximum of 5 a year at most etc. :)
im mostly vegan, but I do drink a little milk. I stay away from eggs though. so I'm just vegetarian
I'm not sure which would come first, my taste buds dying or me starving, lol. When I saw what she ate for dinner my jaw was literally on the floor. I was just like, "That's all!, where's the meat?!?" But hey, to each his own right? Her lifestyle is really clean.
RdoubleNK for me it's the taste buds. So bland!
I'm dyin' over here
I don't know if anyone said this Alba, but your hair looks like a short haircut, and it looks great! I know you hear this a lot, but God has truly blessed your family with beauty. Continue to use it to lift Him up so that He draws all men unto Himself.
I love these type of videos from you. It's nice seeing different sides of your life. Love this video.
I would be starving if I ate so little....but I have a lot of respect for people who live the true organic and healthy lifestyle! Thumbs up for that! (organic meat can also contain antibiotics which is nasty)
right? I easily eat double this in a day. And i'm skinnier then her..wth?
probably because you are giving your body adequate amounts of calories while it appears that there is a calorie deficient in this video. correct me if im wrong.
This is so inspiring. . It's encouraging to me while go through this process of #cleaneating! Lovely video
Stacie Ellis
Actually, as i mentioned to someone else u are not supposed to mix carb and protein i wont explain it again but u can research it its not good for digestion and causes your food to sit in ur gut.
You basically showed us juice, watermelon, and a potato.
lol
Watermelon is my favorite, omg I HAVE to try the coconut chips!
Aw I'm sorry! I love Dr. Mercola. Thanks for the added info.
I must stay very low carb or I gain weight.
junbug1029
I see alot of young women that have problem with weight and their not even in their 20s. "That's because you are a young woman. Just wait until you turn 60, like I am." so young doesn't explain why someone is fat or lean.
Please continue making these videos. It's very helpful! Thank you
Yaaaayyy!!! I've requested this so many times, happy to see you actually did one! Thanks so much, Alba! You're truly one of my faves on TH-cam.
"appearance" is not everything when it comes to the overall health of your body, just saying
Jasmen Smith that actually pretty rude that you criticized her and said she "looks" like she has anorexia. That's fucked up
you're so gorgeous this isn't fair omg
+Jespen Jergut tf?
+Jespen Jergut and youre an ignorant fuck.
Thank You! And yes I will start vlogging in Jan! We are currently moving from NY at the moment so it's been hard to start
SunKissAlba You're moving?! What state are you moving to? Hopefully it has warm winters because NY is brutal right now!
Thanks for sharing! I know that it isn't easy opening up about certain things, as EVERYONE has an option, but I commend you on your lifestyle choices. You and Manny have really encouraged me.
Thank you for existing, Alba! You're truly amazing! Love you
X
Alba this is great! Please do more of this. I'm trying to shift to more healthy eating and living and i want to learn more from you. Lots of love
Yaay just what I really wanted to see from you! xx
Fun video to watch, thanks for sharing! Ps. You are beautiful!
I absolutely loved this video ! It makes something different on your channel and I really like it :)
Thank you for this video! Very helpful! i just moved out and trying to start my healthy diet. This is perfection!
Wow you are so healthy! Definitely an inspiration.
such a pretty girl !! Loved this video !! it is important to spread the message that we need to EAT to be happy and healthy !!
You're eyeshadow is gorgeous doll. The snacks you chose are delicious btw - I'm a cauliflower and frozen blackberries girl, myself :)
I loved the sweet potatoes and eggs! I eat it for dinner sometimes and I noticed that I dont feel bloated and tired after I eat. Thanks SunKissAlba
Hi Alba, quick tip for you. If you bake the sweet potatoes first before you cut them they will keep all the natural sweetness and taste even yummier than they already d plus they are easier to cut this way.
No bread.I wish I was as disciplined. everything about you screams " I'm healthy" you're so gorgeous inside & out! You're so inspiring.
i love your organic ways and how you influence other people to go organic s well. you are deff my favorite beauty guru!!! i started about a year ago getting into a healtier organic life style and i love that i can relate and especially with beauty products because no a lot of people review or make videos on orgaic make up
I love these types of videos :) more more!
Because of you I can 100% become a better me thanks Alba ☺️
Please do more of these! I loved this video and gave me some great ideas!
Yes do more videos like this!! I enjoy watching your healthy food videos 🙌
i wish i looked like you
Alba me encanto el vídeo! Todo lo que preparastes tiene una pinta deliciosa :)
Adoro tus vídeos!!! Acabo de ver este y estoy deseando ver el próximo, gracias por otro vídeo tan genial.
Besitos linda.
How do you get protein in your diet? Eating so little does not sound healthy. Like borderline eating disorder.
In her other video she said she eats peanuts for protein..
Kale in her juice is protein. Eggs are protein.
What about other essential vitamins in her diet? B-12 is an important nutrient and you get it mostly from eating meat and fish. The average adult should eat 2000 calories a day. What she ate was barely 1000 calories.
Maybe she taking a b12 supplement.
The kale, eggs, broccoli and sweet potatoes all have protein in them.
Love these vids! Would love an updated video of what you eat these days:)
omg I thought I was the only one who ate watermelons like that!
is there another way?
Lol... I thought she was the only one until I read your comment. Guess Not! I've never seen it eaten that way before... Its different. . .
Great video 👍! Very interesting. I enjoy a lot of the same foods...would love to see more videos like this...different days.
Very healthy! You go girl! I wish I had that kinda control, i always snack on chocolate lol. I enjoyed the video :)
i learned a lot from this video, please do more of these alba
I like these kinds of videos. It helps add variety in the food lives of people who eat the same way you do. Thanks for sharing.
Those were Red-skin Dominican batatas...I love them.....they are so sweet!!!! And with eggs they taste so good!
Oooh yum that two-eggs/slices of sweet potato looks soo good! I'd like to include some brocolli in it to make a nice lunch or dinner :) Your ideas are fantastic, thank you sooo much.
I enjoyed this very much please do more! This helps me so much!
You are a living doll
I like the way you talk about food. Healthily and sensibly.
Have a nice day for whole sweet family :)
Definitely loved this video! Thanks for sharing!
You eat very healthly and I'm trying to eat healthier myself. I love frozen raspberries from a post you did a while ago!! Thanks for sharing!!
I love these types of videos, they're actually one of my favorite from you. sweet potatoes and coconut water yumm :)
You're so inspiring! I just want to make healthy meals like this for me and my husband :) great video!!
Thanks for the inspiration and good continuation!
you're healthy and happy ! that's all that matters . ♥ i love what you ate that day .♥
One of the main differences between a vegan and a typical vegetarian diet is the avoidance of both eggs and dairy products such as milk, cheese, butter and yogurt. Ethical vegans do not consume dairy or eggs because they state that their production causes the animal suffering and/or a premature death.
I felt so refreshed after watching this :)
I love coconut water!
Aaww ! Your accent when you say 'Voilà, bon appetit "is just soooo sooo cute! I hope to hear you speak French more often
You're such an inspiration to me. In many ways. Thank you.
I love how you incorporate the fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet. I've been trying to do that more. I love watermelons for monomeals...and coconut oil is the best, my natrupath recommended I cook with it.
lol at the "nutritionists" in the the comments
haha
Exactly
This was a great video.. I bet it can get difficult to cook healthy for an entire family! loved this
You are such an inspiration to me.
Quick recipes! Very easy to do! Loved them! :)
Hello SunKissAlba,
I really enjoy watching (was just about to type eating lol) your videos and find this one really interesting.
Thank you for sharing this. Lovely and insightful to simplify meals and snacks. Thanks!!
