I moved out of LA in 2015 right before it went to hell. Then American Apparel went Bankrupt, Homeless started building up more and then it became the mess it is today. Before all of that I loved living there. The people didn’t seem trustworthy though which is why I left. The relationships I made didn’t seem genuine. I just loved the weather and the art and It felt like anything cool could happen. I just didn’t trust anyone there.

I watch compilations of the popular Tiktok stars.... always leaving me with a puzzling feeling and trying to figure which ones, if not all, will have some difficulties in the future with sex, drugs, and alcohol. Maybe none. It’s just 10 sec videos, and the TH-cam videos are barely over 10mins if that. They have a lot to gain from the popularity. It’s kind of amazing considering I can’t figure out what is so unique about a single one.

That was the thing that struck me as a tourist... everything shuts down at 10. Even here in Greensboro, there were places where if you showed up at 11PM, you were still too early. Well, there was one intersection I drove through that had a party going on late into the night... turns out it was Boystown on Santa Monica.
