Hard choice. The SXTH Element cost less and is more in my price range for an intake. But you get less. I like that MST comes with a back pipe and a radiator shroud.
I was really hoping they were going to release one like this! This will be the one I get for my GR Corolla. I was saving up for the evnturi. But I like this one way more and the price is so much better. Do you know when they go up for sale?
I don't see a seal around the tube the filter goes on, where it goes into the box. So it's sucking hot air from the engine bay through the rear of the box. Also is there no kind of seal where the clear lid goes onto the box either??? I like the idea if the closed box better an less turbulent air on the mass air, I'd just like to see some more attention to the details.
The amount of forced cold air being shoved through that snorkel out weights what ever minor open it has in the back of the box. Let's try to use some common sense shall we 🤦♂
@JasonTran04 That's a great point if you live in the land of make-believe. But in reality, the intake is going to pull air from wherever its closest source is. Maybe there should be a disclaimer about it being a minimal amount once the vehicle reaches a certain mph, but while the vehicle is stopped or under that specified mph, you're still getting "some" hot engine bay air.
@@jasond91they’re not true fixes, it’s a hit or miss in a guessing game. The one and true way to fix the p2c90 is with a tune to open the pcv/crankcase valve parameter
@@alexandertran345 If you are running it out of spec (at higher or lower performance) this will always be true. It isn't inherently a bad thing, it's just a fact that it's out of spec.
Now this is a intake designed for pure performance, not just sound.
Agreed!
100% the best price point for everything you get.
I agree!
How much?
@@antdohow much?
You know he says the price in the video right?
Now this is how you design an intake! Great work MST
Agreed!
Hands down the best one out for the GR Corolla.
This is certified fire. I can’t wait until I get mine in, this looks superb!
Easily the best one on the market right now.
Both of ya tryna make me spend again 😢😆
For sure the best one made to date.
💯
Cheers for the video mate. 100% think I’m going for this one. Apparently it’s released in may.
This one just makes sense for the price
I went with the sxth and no complaints. Both look nice and do the job.
Can't go wrong with either!
It's been a min since you have posted. Glad to see you posting again. When is the next Track day?
Hopefully I can have more content soon.
As far as the next track day I'm not too sure when that will be.
You couldn't wait till I got back so we could have installed it at my shop? 😢
You should start charging him 😜
I probably should LOL
Na I don't accept these terms 😅
I’m on stock exhaust. But I can hear the turbo spool a lot louder and the blow off is louder. Granted I didn’t have an open intake before the v2.
This is hands down leaps and bounds better than the SXTH Element one. Thei cone filter on the SXTH have been collapsing on themselves lol
Agreed

Go with the MST
will never swap the intake, just came here to show support
I appreciate all the support 🙏
Okay This is what I need for my Morizo. I was thinking about the Evnturi. But I couldn't justify the price.
Go with the MST
Same. It's nice, but not 1650 nice. I'll be getting this mst
That's so clean!!
I love that it almost looks stock.
honestly this is how it should have been offered from the get go.
Agreed!
Looks really good!
It does!

I'm not 💯% sure on the release date. But I'll check and keep you updated
Does anyone know if the shroud will interfere with an aftermarket intake manifold (weldspeed)?
Is this going to be produced for the GR Yaris too? V1 is quite.. hideous.
Looks like they are coming out with one for the GR Yaris this July
Have they released pricing yet?
Money aside, does the eventuri perform better?
How much is the is intake ?
Do you need a tune for the intake? Does it actually suck in any more/less air or is it mostly for noise/heat
A tune is required to drive with this intake. But you will see the most gains with a tune.
Where do i get one
ETA for order is May. You should be able to order direct through MST or any MST dealers.
P2C90 CEL?
Most aftermarket intakes will produce the code, you only really benefit from any mods with a tune
Have you seen the forge Motorsports one I had a gain of 15 horsepower
And it utilized the stock air box also supplying Cold air from top and bottom
What was your HP gain from this?
Eventuri is expensive, but manages to add power without compromising filtration.

Air doesnt care about proximity. It will always take the path of least resistance. @spdrcrify
Th SXTH intake is approximately 450 w/ cel fix. This is twice as much for what exactly? I plastic stroud? Hard pass
Imagine not listening to the video and not realizing what all the SXTH Element doesn't come with for the cheaper price 🤦♂️
All that work, it's back to factory.
Still doesn’t fix the CEL. What a shame
What are you talking about? MST, SXTH and eventuri have all had CEL Fixes out for months now...

Tuning doesn’t fix it. It just hides the code from popping up on the dash

Still just a Corolla. Get a Real man's car like my Supra.
Enjoy your BMW. We are toyota people.
This is a fat L! There’s no turbo sounds at all. That’s sad! glad I didn’t buy the enclosed one
