Owning either is a win. If you do canyons sometimes and mainly drive the road GT3RS is the pick. If you drive the autobahn or track alot the GT2RS is king.
Emotions that for each one of us look for are different...so my point is....choose the car that gives you the right emotions you are looking for....and then for numbers....but only then....obviously there are many other factors...but these 2 in the right sequence are the most important!!!! I say that since i have 3 sports cars and each one is very different from the other and each one gives me emotions that the other doesn’t provide and viceversa
In regards to PDK Manual vs Auto. Which provides faster lap times? Also, same question with Launch Control straight line times? 0-100 mph or whatever...
You were driving in traffic for 10 minutes and didn't even push it and can make that kind of a comment????? This is the most biased comparison I've ever seen.
Mark spot on. The GT2 is incredible, but too fast for road use, it was made for the race track. If you watch Misha Charondins channel, Porche race driver Kevin Estre virtually said the same thing. Both wonderful cars, but like you I'd take the GT3 RS all day.
perhaps for UK roads no... if you love to drive hard, you know that bouncy feeling over slight bumps when you know you can steer as hard has possible..... GT3 would always be a preferred choice but if its all about high end autobahn speed runs, GT2 RS will be seriously rewarding
Fugazi News. West Palm Beach resident and I require those 🐌 🐌 for I-95 runs (Florida Autobahn). I absolutely love the that gt3 exhaust note, but it doesn’t make up for the horsepower difference.
That's why the 720S is the ultimate car spider version. You can drive it around town and it's a nice driving car and then it can become a track monster as well and a drag racer on top
Please keep donuts to reviewing Civics or Mustangs if you have to do donuts...Respecting a car like this or any other for that matter is a better intro. That said...GT3 RS please.
I own both these cars with over 3,000 miles on both and don’t agree with a few things. First, to say one is good around town and other isn’t is just false. They are so similar in ride and shifting and seats and interior are identical. I think your opinion is biased by sound. 3 does sound better, but the power in the 2 makes up for slight lack in sound. I bought a Soul exhaust for my 2 and it has a monster sound of its own. Also... without saying the price I can say I paid within $35,000 for the two cars. Granted I over paid for 3 because it was my spec and got a great deal on 2 which was Porsche spec. Both have Weissach and both are awesome. Lastly, the 3 is actually the better track car. Balance between power, weight, brakes and cornering is perfect in the 3. 2 is faster overall on track, but on small track with lots of corners it is not. If I had to choose one over other than I would choose the 2 by a small margin because on the streets it is king. Nothing can touch it as it is so fast. It gets embarrassing to get passed in the 3 on straights, which is what you mostly have on the roads and highways. The 2 also feels more special and there are fewer on the road. For now ... I like both and will keep both as long as I can.
I really like your review. Get right to the point, not wasting time. Your 4.0 is a very special GT! I had a 3.8 RS 2011. Put on some weight I sold it. Not I just got a GT4 2020. It is alright! Weight transfer is excellent due to the mid engine. Cheers 🦅🦅🇺🇸
What i have always said about sportcars/supercars is.....a part from Laptimes or pure number as an acceleration time from 0 to 60 or 0 to 124 mph....or top speed....it’s better that you choose a car for the emotions that it gives to you and then for the numbers....it’s otherwise also true that also depends on the use that you do of your car....but may be that for you the majority of the times that you use your supecar is not on circuit and even here not competing with others.....so if you recognize in this field....so you have to choose for emotions!!!!off course!!!!
lmao..."when you put it (GT2 RS) in PDK sport mode it isn't very comfortable to drive"....that is so asinine, the first thing I do after starting my car to let it warm up is put her in Sport Exhaust and Sport PDK and she drives like a million dollars. The only modestly harsh jerk is when manually downshifting into 1st gear; that does jerk quite a bit but if that bothers you just don't shift into first and let the PDK downshift to 1st for you (even in manual it will do this when stopping)...(a guy who owns a 2019 GT2 RS, GR, WP, PDLS, Magnesium wheels, leather/alcantara with red deviated stitching, GR gauges, GR seatbelts, smokers package, FAL, and FE)
I absolutely love love love the GT3rs! It is probably my all time favorite car or least very close. Your 4.0 is absolutely ridiculous, the thing dreams are made of.
Awesome video... GT2 RS is a beast!!! But... the choice would be the GT3 RS ... still epic but just that little bit more useable! Love it in Black and Satin wheels - very nice.. Mark - do you know of any seat solutions for the Performante? This is on my bucket list but I have heard so many bad things about the seats !!
Definitely the Performante, just looks way better than any Porsche. The GT3 is a great car no doubt, but at the end of the day it is just a 911. The Lamborghini will give you more of a supercar experience. The modern Lamborghini doesn't just look good, it performs too. You would be hard-pushed to find another supercar brand that does drama better than Lamborghini. If you are not tracking the car, I would even just go for the EVO. It has 4-wheel steering and does without the wing which in my book spoils the lines of the car.
720 is comfy like most McLarens, but the issue is that you can actually drive the Porsche without worrying if you're going to have to send it back and forth to the shop for 3 months. 720 is like driving a pretty looking turd.
Everyone says that the gt2 rs is too much for the road, I don’t think so, I’d say it perfect for the road, well... if you have enough to buy a gt2 rs then what does it matter. Daily driving a gt2 rs and gt3 rs are practically the same at that point. One just has more Bang for the buck.

IMHO GT2 RS - Supercar crushing monster, GT3 RS - pinnacle sports car for the ages
Either way, win-win in my book!
Love the video.
Agree that there is something very special about high performance naturally aspirated engines.
Would love to see a comparison video between your GT3 and 981 Spyder!
That Black GT3RS is just perfect.
Really enjoyed the demo and speed test of the two Porsche GT2 and GT 3,cars,thanks,Hasnan.
If one wants to have fun, no doubt GT3 RS is the answer. No doubt. But if one wants power & fast, GT2 RS. Period.
So is power and fast not fun to you? You’ve obviously never been in a GT2 RS
Wow, any of those cars would be a treat to your collection
I am happy with three Porsche models. If I add it will be an Italian next.
Fun fact: GT2rs is louder than GT3/3rs in realife
In regards to PDK Manual vs Auto. Which provides faster lap times? Also, same question with Launch Control straight line times? 0-100 mph or whatever...
You were driving in traffic for 10 minutes and didn't even push it and can make that kind of a comment????? This is the most biased comparison I've ever seen.
I just want to know how it compares to the new Turbo S?
I haven't had a chance to drive the 992 Turbo S but hopefully will get an opportunity in 2020
The GT2 RS is not running standard rear wing supports.
GT3 would always be a preferred choice but if its all about high end autobahn speed runs, GT2 RS will be seriously rewarding
go Mark go! keep sharing those awesome videos mateeeee!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed.
Great comparison video! Thanks !
I would love to see/hear your perspective on 911 TT S vs The GT3 RS .... 🙏🙏👊🏼
Thanks. I have never been a fan of 4WD Porsche 911 models. But we may do a review of a 911 Turbo S on the channel at some point in the future.
Please keep donuts to reviewing Civics or Mustangs if you have to do donuts...Respecting a car like this or any other for that matter is a better intro. That said...GT3 RS please.
A. H. Agree 100%
Sane viewing in a crazy world right now, bliss as always 👌
Thanks
Very well review, that made it easier to plan for. GT3 RS
I really like your review. Get right to the point, not wasting time. Your 4.0 is a very special GT! I had a 3.8 RS 2011. Put on some weight I sold it. Not I just got a GT4 2020. It is alright! Weight transfer is excellent due to the mid engine. Cheers 🦅🦅🇺🇸
"Hardly sprung"?? I believe its "Stiffly-sprung";). Great clip as always by the way!
haha. Sometimes when you are on camera you get a bit nervous when you talk.
PDK-Sport in the 991.1 GT3-RS makes a huge difference!!! Maybe it’s toned down for the 991.2 ?
A new Lambo Performante going for the same price as the GT3 RS? See ya!!
I absolutely love love love the GT3rs! It is probably my all time favorite car or least very close. Your 4.0 is absolutely ridiculous, the thing dreams are made of.
would u describe her as more extreme than a 918 spyder??
981 Spyder or 918 Spyder?
@@888mf4911 gt2 rs VS 918 spyder (maybe u haven't driven her)
My thoughts exactly!!! That’s why the GT2 RS is 6:48 at the ring vs the GT3 RS with a 6:56...
Excellent video. Would you rather your Boxter spider or the GT3 RS.
Which would put the biggest smile on your face 😊
Forget both of these cars and buy a GT3 so you can get a manual!
Why not buy a 718 GT4
@@888mf4 if you could a afford a gt3, you'd get the gt3 surely? That has the proper high revving engine in it.
This guy deserve a million subs.
For road use a GT3 T is ideal. Would go with manual. Prices falling.
Mister Ray One of the best all around cars in my opinion!
Very very very nice review 👌🏻 👏🏻
Thank you!
OMG, the GT2 RS jerks a bit in PDK sport mode...okay I am scratching it off the top of my wish list, lol!
how about a normal gt3?
I would prefer a 718 GT4 over a GT3
@@888mf4 why so?
It would Be So Very hard to choose between the GT 2 RS or the GT3 RS?!?!? I would have to think about it over a Bottle Of Jack Daniels ❗️❗️
Awesome content Mark. Well well well done!
Excellent content
Thank you!
Gt2 rs' price here in the Philippines are 600k USD due to the taxes. Sucks for us
Everyone says that the gt2 rs is too much for the road, I don’t think so, I’d say it perfect for the road, well... if you have enough to buy a gt2 rs then what does it matter. Daily driving a gt2 rs and gt3 rs are practically the same at that point. One just has more Bang for the buck.
Red car = red key, black car = black key!
Thanks for pointing that out RM. Was that the only comment you had to make on a 20 min video?
888MF i forgot to say ; wash your hands. ( kidding ) . Thanks for the video, i have to say that it was a great content. Stay safe, wish you a healthy and full fun life.
170k pounds for a Performante? Damn that’s only like $200k which is $50k below the market price here in the states
Great cars and interesting perspective. Sort of sad to see them on roads near Boca. Living in the Bay Area, our worst roads are better than the best on this video. Some areas still require AC cooling though. ;)
This channel is clearly for people who have never actually track raced a high power car. The GT2 is better, it just needs skills.
In the first 60seconds you get the picture from the level of the presentation, how to drive and open the driver door - that’s it!!!
I put it in PDK normal and….oh it is much smoother! What a genius i am 🤪
