For me, what happens is that the quality is always, in every song, synonym of perfection, but since each song opens you a different window to a different perfect style, you cannot tell what’s better. “Love is like a Dream”, in Russian, is also one of my favourite songs. I do not speak Russian, but with Dimash, you don’t really need to know any language. It’s better to watch right to the end as Dimash usually thanks the other people on stage with him. He wants To give credit to the composer and to everyone who has collaborated. He is so humble. Incidentally, he speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently. His English is pretty good now and he tries hard with mandarin but finds it difficult. He can sing in many languages, I think it’s 13 now. When you get to react to songs from I Am Singer in 2017 (where most of us dears got to hear Dimash) he sung some English songs phonetically, He definitely plays piano, drums, xylophone, guitar, dombra and I believe a harp. The instrumentalist on stage was playing is a khobyz. Dimash will often feature this instrument in his performances. Stranger is a song performed at the new wave event 2021. He sang two more songs there. One is a version of Ave Maria and the other is Fly Away. These three songs give an indication of the variety of his performances. I’ve watched Dimash every day since 2017 and saw him in concert in Latvia just before the pandemic halted his tour. I am 77 year old U.K. lady. His fans are every age group,

The main arrangement was by Dimitris Kontopoulos (Greece) and Yerlan Bekchurin (Kazakhstan). Igor Krutoy said, “It was Dimash’s talent that inspired me to write this song, his immense vocal abilities and his desire to sing for a large international audience. Franky, I don’t see anyone else who could perform this piece in such a way.” The solo instrument heard at the beginning is called a kobyz which is an ancient Kazakh instrument. The idea to add the kobyz to this song came to Dimash after he first heard the tune of “Stranger”. The singer realised that the folk instrument would fit perfectly into the song, giving it an exquisite sound. Dimash has always been anxious to popularise traditional Kazakh music. You really should look into the Kobyz, or Qobyz. It is said to be the very 1st stringed instrument- birthing all the rest. It was sacred & used by shamans. It is carved from a single piece of wood & 2 strings of horse hair that do not touch a bridge, instead the fingers play a much more important role & the resonance & versatility of the sounds it can make echo Dimash’s versatility. 2 songs that use a lot of Qobyz beautifully are Samaltau (I am partial to the Tokyo Jazz festival version- just him & 2 musicians live in his home studio during Covid)- Samaltau has no subtitles but you should open yourself to feeling the story as the instruments create the picture so beautifully , & Qairan Elim (put subtitles on, though there is an opening that does not have subtitles, just feel it, & someone in comments can provide the translation for that part). You want his music video- he co-directed it during lock down. Both very dear to him. Oh & his newest music video Omir Oter- which means “Life is Short”… here you will see Dimash’s pure heart & sincerity for the world. Ok.. that’s all of his music once you get to know him, but his earnestness in Omir Oter just blew me away. These are not songs highlighting his extreme vocals, but to me that’s unnecessary. I think it is a good time for you to react to the last version of Stranger (from the same year 2021) in "Shine! Super Brothers", since you have this very present and you will be able to see the contrast between the two versions. The second changes a lot, its bass tones are incredible as well as its vocal pirouettes. Another one that you should definitely react to is Sinful Passion.

It became the basis for most of today's bowed instruments around the world, including European instruments such as violin, viola, cello, and contrabass. The Kyrgyz variant is called kyl kayak. The instrument is carved from a single piece of wood (typically apricot) or juniper (arsha), maple, pine tree, or birch. The instrument consists of three parts: head (bas), middle (base is keude), and lower part (ayak) and usually measures 60-70 cm. It has two strings made from horsetail hair; one to provide melody and the other resonance. The bow is shaped like an archer's bow, and its string is tied to both ends of the bent branch and affixed with strong threads of camel wool. If and when you get to Ogni Pietra - Olimpico, please do the one from his Arnau concert in Kazakhstan a few years ago. The atmosphere, the lights, everything is just great. He only speaks, Kazakh, Russian, English and Mandarin but he does sing in many many languages.
The traditional Kazakh instrument is called a kubyz and has two strings. You can hear it duplicating the sounds of wolves howling, wind blowing, etc at the beginning of Samaltau, a haunting “folk” song which is a young man’s lament when drafted by the Soviet Army to fight in 1916, knowing he would probably never return.

Thank you for reaction. Dimash sings in many languages, So far 14 langusages but he doesnt speak 14 langugages:). He speaks his native language Kazkah and freely sepaks Russian. Also his Engish is getting better. He does play many instruments. Hands down for me Dimash is a best of the best.

For me, what happens is that the quality is always, in every song, synonym of perfection, but since each song opens you a different window to a different perfect style, you cannot tell what’s better. “Love is like a Dream”, in Russian, is also one of my favourite songs. It is not a violin. It is a Kobyz, a very old and traditional instrument in Kazakhstan. The Kobyz or kylkobyz is an ancient Turkish bow stringed instrument, widespread among Kazakhs, Karakalpaks, Bashkirs and Tatars. The Kyrgyz variant is called kyl-kyyak. The Kobyz has two strands made of horsehair. The resonant cavity is usually covered with goatskin and reproduces in an absolutely faithful way the sound of the animals of the steppe. The sound is incredible ...

There are rock pictures depicting a man playing an instrument similar to a kobyz. The age of these paintings is more than 4000 years.

It’s better to watch right to the end as Dimash usually thanks the other people on stage with him. He wants To give credit to the composer and to everyone who has collaborated. He is so humble. Incidentally, he speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently. His English is pretty good now and he tries hard with mandarin but finds it difficult. He can sing in many languages, I think it’s 13 now. When you get to react to songs from I Am Singer in 2017 (where most of us dears got to hear Dimash) he sung some English songs phonetically, He definitely plays piano, drums, xylophone, guitar, dombra and I believe a harp. The instrumentalist on stage was playing is a khobyz. Dimash will often feature this instrument in his performances. Stranger is a song performed at the new wave event 2021. He sang two more songs there. One is a version of Ave Maria and the other is Fly Away. These three songs give an indication of the variety of his performances. I’ve watched Dimash every day since 2017 and saw him in concert in Latvia just before the pandemic halted his tour. I am 77 year old U.K. lady. His fans are every age group,

The man on the piano is a very famous Russian composer named Igor Krutoy. He was retired until his daughter brought him to see Dimash sing Sinful Passion. Thanks for another great reaction. Dimash is always unbelievably amazing. “Stranger” was created by Russian songwriter Igor Krutoy, and the lyrics were written by American poetess Sharon Vaughn. The main arrangement was by Dimitris Kontopoulos (Greece) and Yerlan Bekchurin (Kazakhstan).

The solo instrument heard at the beginning is called a kobyz which is an ancient Kazakh instrument. The idea to add the kobyz to this song came to Dimash after he first heard the tune of “Stranger”. The singer realised that the folk instrument would fit perfectly into the song, giving it an exquisite sound. Dimash has always been anxious to popularise traditional Kazakh music. So, he really wanted the kobyz to be played on a big stage like Sochi’s New Wave Hall
Dimash said, “We invited our talented friend Olzhas Qurmanbek to perform the kobyz in “Stranger”, because he is considered the best kobyz player, who managed to fully convey the emotions and character of the song. You really should look into the Kobyz, or Qobyz. It is said to be the very 1st stringed instrument- birthing all the rest. It was sacred & used by shamans. It is carved from a single piece of wood & 2 strings of horse hair that do not touch a bridge, instead the fingers play a much more important role & the resonance & versatility of the sounds it can make echo Dimash’s versatility. 2 songs that use a lot of Qobyz beautifully are Samaltau (I am partial to the Tokyo Jazz festival version- just him & 2 musicians live in his home studio during Covid)- Samaltau has no subtitles but you should open yourself to feeling the story as the instruments create the picture so beautifully , & Qairan Elim (put subtitles on, though there is an opening that does not have subtitles, just feel it, & someone in comments can provide the translation for that part). You want his music video- he co-directed it during lock down. Both very dear to him.
Oh & his newest music video Omir Oter- which means “Life is Short”… here you will see Dimash’s pure heart & sincerity for the world. Ok.. that’s all of his music once you get to know him, but his earnestness in Omir Oter just blew me away. These are not songs highlighting his extreme vocals, but to me that’s unnecessary. This was another great reaction. Dimash premiered the song "Stranger" on August 19, 2021, during his performance at the annual New Wave music competition in Sochi, Russia. He once again performed with Igor Krotoy on the piano and introduced Olzhas Qurmanbeck on the kobyz. Igor Krutoy composed the music, American poetess Sharon Vaughn wrote the lyrics, and Dimitris Kontopoulos (Greece) and Yerlan Bekchurin (Kazakhstan) did the arrangement.
Igor Krutoy is quoted as saying that "it was Dimash's talent that inspired me to write this song, his immense vocal abilities and his desire to sing for a large international audience. Franky, I don't see anyone else who could perform this piece in such a way."
When Dimash first listened to the melody of "Stranger," he felt that the addition of a kobyz to the musical arrangement would give the song a unique yet very fitting sound. Thus, the kobyz made its debut at the New Wave Hall at the Sochi Olympic Park, and what a great choice indeed. It is a beautiful sounding instrument that seems to underscore the song's deep meaning. This wasn't the first time that Dimash has featured Olzhas Qurmanbeck playing the kobyz. You can also enjoy him in a few of Dimash's other performances such as Qairan Elim (official music video) and Samaltau (2020 Tokyo Jazz Festival).
This is an amazing performance, one of, if not the best to date, in my humble opinion. Dimash traverses almost 5 octaves (C2-F6) in this performance. That stunning last note is a 19.7-second full mixed voice belt in F#5.
The kobyz is a very old, traditional, and sacred instrument in Kazakhstan. The kobyz or kyl kobyz is the most ancient bowed instrument on earth, widespread among the Turks, Kazakhs, Karakalpaks, Bashkirs, and Tatars. It became the basis for most of today's bowed instruments around the world, including European instruments such as violin, viola, cello, and contrabass. The Kyrgyz variant is called kyl kayak.
The instrument is carved from a single piece of wood (typically apricot) or juniper (arsha), maple, pine tree, or birch. The instrument consists of three parts: head (bas), middle (base is keude), and lower part (ayak) and usually measures 60-70 cm. It has two strings made from horsetail hair; one to provide melody and the other resonance. The bow is shaped like an archer's bow, and its string is tied to both ends of the bent branch and affixed with strong threads of camel wool.
The New Wave Music competition started in 2002, and for nearly two decades now, has been one of the most iconic music events in Russia and other parts of the world. It is an international contest for young performers of popular music. It was founded by Russian composer, performer, and music producer Igor Krutoy (seen here playing the piano) and Latvian pianist and composer Raimonds Pauls. Russian superstar Alla Pugacheva eventually joined as one of the show's organizers. The contest usually lasts for six days: 3 contest days, 2 special event days, and the final day when the contest's results are announced, and a final concert is performed. The television audience of the New Wave music competition numbers more than 200 million people. In 2018, Dimash debuted as a guest performer, performing his now legendary rendition of "Sinful Passion." This year (2021), Dimash took part as a guest performer and a judge. 11 participants from 9 countries will compete for the grand prize in this year's finale.
If and when you get to Ogni Pietra - Olimpico, please do the one from his Arnau concert in Kazakhstan a few years ago. The atmosphere, the lights, everything is just great. He only speaks, Kazakh, Russian, English and Mandarin but he does sing in many many languages.

The traditional Kazakh instrument is called a kubyz and has two strings. You can hear it duplicating the sounds of wolves howling, wind blowing, etc at the beginning of Samaltau, a haunting “folk” song which is a young man’s lament when drafted by the Soviet Army to fight in 1916, knowing he would probably never return.

Thank you for reaction. Dimash sings in many languages, So far 14 langusages but he doesnt speak 14 langugages:). He speaks his native language Kazkah and freely sepaks Russian. Also his Engish is getting better. He does play many instruments. Hands down for me Dimash is a best of the best.
