My husband and I are in the US and we live in a 40 ft. rv and travel the country. Of course, space is at a premium, and both of us are voracious readers. We have been using ereaders since we've been on the road. He enjoys reading on his computer and tablet. I have 2 dedicated tablets for books. I love physical books but this is the next best thing. I also love audiobooks and try to get the audiobook and the ebook. I put the audiobook on when I cross stitch or crochet so I don't have to stop at a good spot.

I live in the uk so I chose to go with the kobo as i am on a budget and can't always afford to purchase books. The main reason I went for a kobo is that I cN borrow books from my local libraries on it which you can't do in the uk on kindles.

I like both ereaders and regular books. The thing I love about e-readers is that it saves room in my luggage when I go on vacation... so it leaves more room for me to bring home all the books I've bought on vacation...

English isn't my first language, so using dictionary while reading an e-book is most helpful to me. I just highlight and tap the word I want to know. I like that I can highlight, annotate, keep or share clippings of my favourite quotes on my e-reader.

Great tips! Especially the customization options. I found that a dark background helped me reduce eye strain. And I read on a tablet and the best advice I received, from my father, was to buy a 10 inch tablet. He's 80yo and uses a 12 inch one but recommended the 10 inch for me. It was game changing! I can even easily read graphic novels and manga. And the library app is free.

Like you I prefer to read big books on the e-reader because it is much easier to hold the e-reader than the very thick volume. Another reason why I like reading on an e-reader is that travelling becomes much easier as I don't have to carry heavy books. I had not known the tips and tricks you mentioned! Thank you for the info!

I needed this! I bought a Kindle months ago and have never used it. It frightens me hahaha. I'm so against them but realise they are good for so many reasons!

I've been laying on the dark side for years... despite buying an insane amount of physical books.

I've learned a couple things on kindle, but how do you do both audio, then continue on a kindle edition book? There's times I use Libby, but also pick up the physical copy so I can read, but if I need to step away I can open Libby and find where I'm at. But have no clue how to do with my kindle!

Didn't know there is a "pro" reader of ebooks. Nevertheless, these are helpful tips! I like the convenience of e-readers when I'm dealing with books that require me to check the dictionary often or when I'd need to highlight big portions of a non-fiction book and sync it to a separate document that I can access from my laptop.
Outside these reasons, physical books are still my top choice.

The Ereader screens have not improved in many years. If they could make them with more contrast and a more natural look, I could switch over, 100%.

Don’t get the hype with physical books. Having an e reader actually made me motivated to read, I read so many more books last year because of my e reader. Now I only read digitally
