Joe, you do a nice job, thank you. However, you might want to verify the skid plates, some are not there and should be. GM cheats people by not putting full proper skid plates on the Trail Boss.
Quite a nice truck, I would like to see them make the Trail Boss with the double cab and the 6.5 ft bed. Not everyone needs as much space as a dorm room in the back seat but could use a little more bed space.
The 2025 Silverado has 4 different engine options, the 2025 Tundra really only has one engine (Turbo V6) but you can get it in a Hybrid (same engine) but you can call it a different engine if you want.
I know this may not sway you because I'm only "one" person, but I've had my 2020 6.2 10 speed Trail Boss since I bought it new in April of 2020. I have 46,350 miles on it and have not had one single issue with the truck...maybe I got lucky, maybe not..but I know 4 other guys at my work that have the same setup(6.2 with 10 speed) on their Trail Bosses(range from 2020's to 2024's)...and they have not said they've had any issues at well. I also work with a guy that has a 2018 Sierra Denali(67,000 miles) with the 6.2 and 8 speed(also no issues). He said while the 8 speed has not given him any issues, he wished the truck had the 10 speed in it. Food for thought and obviously to each their own, but I'm just trying to put out my experiences along with anyone else that I know. 🤷👍😁
@mikeburley7288 When you start searching online, there are a lot of people complaining about the 5.3, 6.2 engines, and transmissions. One of my coworkers traded in his 21/22 gmc sierra with low mileage due to the transmission problem. At the same time everyone is complaining about jeep / ram ecodiesel but I don't have any problem.
@@davidwethington9320 I believe that because if you look around there are complaints about the 4cylinders with turbos having issues and the known issue with Toyota motors and the problems with the Ford motors with the cyclinder cut offs. So many complaints that if I were to buy a truck today I would be scared to buy any of them.
The front lighting/vent area is very busy looking. It needs to be cleaned up or fitted with additional lighting, like Mr. Raiti said. And what's with the old fashioned mast antenna? Corny and dated.
I have a 2019 Silverado Custom Trail Boss Double cab with 5.3 V8 that I bought brand new in '19 at $6k off sticker for $37,500 (MSRP $43,500). Almost 6 yrs later, I still love this truck. Not one issue or complaint. But now its hard to get one under $55k. The price jump in 5 yrs is crazy. For around $40k, they were a great deal. Pushing $60k, no thanks. Great review though. Keep it up.
Hey Raiti's How do you never zonk that shark-fin antenna above the driver!??? It should be at the back center to make the design wholesomely symmetrical. Symmetry awkwardness on the antenna placement spoils Silverado design for me every time! 🫤 It looks like a horse with a tail on its shoulder or something 😏
GM nails the exteriors just need to put the same effort into interior as ram and they will definitely have a winner. I can’t believe I’m saying that and I think Cadillac should offer a true pick up
Looks good but no thanks to dynamic fuel mgmt, 10spd & awful stop/start..GM built great trucks & SUVs that ran forever 20yrs ago..Way too many problems nowadays..

Love this truck and chevy trucks in general now. Only thing i wish was different was interior colors/trims. What i love about my z71 colorado is the black interior with red stitching and seat accents. The sporty trim was a major deciding factor for me. I see this silverado trail boss and wish they had options for a similar interior color/trim. Less luxury interior and more sport or style.
I recently bought a used 1987 chevy truck 3+3 (crew cab) dually for $6000. A bit of a fixer up but it's awesome. Over 500,000 miles and it still works. They don't make them like they used to. It's easy to work on.
Obviously can't speak for everyone..just my own experience. I have a 2020 LT Trail Boss with the 6.2 and 10 speed. Currently has 46,300 miles on it and I have had ZERO issues with anything on it. Great truck, in my opinion. 🤷👍😁

The fact that the silverado still has a V8 unlike the tundra is probably one of the only reasons why it is better
