Football is the collectve term for Rugby Football, Gaelic Football, Association Football (shortened to soccer), Aussie Rules Football, American Football etc. I am a soccer/footy supporter, but it should be known as soccer because we already have a national sport that falls under the category of FOOTBALL! Americans call their sport football and therefore they call the sport in queston soccer, as do Aussies and so should we!!! :)
