This is the greatest commercial ever made. Back then, you couldn't find one single person who hadn't watched it at least a few times. I remember that every time it played, I used to called my brother to watch it together. When I played football with my friends we all recited our shares of "au revoir" (with the neck gesture, obviously) before shooting a penalty. I have goosebumps!
SECOND greatest. The real greatest is this spot's parody made in italy where a bunch of comedian remake the same spot. Iconic the line of Claudio Lippi (host of the tv program) while shooting the penalty "A soreta!" which translate in "to your sister".
of course Paolo Maldini is the first one to act against them, putting in a perfect sliding tackle, that guy was the greatest defender of the modern era and one of the greatest of all time
I first saw this commercial back in 97 during an AMERICA VS. PUMAS game. I loved it so much I set up my VCR to record the rest of the game just in case the commercial came on again so I could watch it over and over again. 😂
the best nike soccer commercial i've ever watched. it has alot of intense and action. not like todays soccer commercial, just alot of show off and comedy.
Campos,maldini,cantona....legends! In the 90s we were all mismerize by campos colourful jerseys, maldini class and strenght, cantona crazyness....i miss that time
Pretty sure spiking an opposing team member's head is against fifa regulation. Then again knowing fifa upper management? They probably got kickbacks for a friendly ref and venue.
It was awesome, but I'm not sure if it was the best. There were so many awesome ones: The cage matches hosted by Cantona, The Brazil team at the airport, the allstars stealing a football, Brazil vs. Portugal in the catacombes of the stadium ...
Vocaloid Baby that wasn't Figo that got elbow'd. That was Rui Costa. Figo was the one who almost got his face crushed by the knife shoe. Also... I just remembered something.... why didn't Edgar Davids have a scene?
Just the best fucking football commercial ever conceived. Paolo Maldini tackle gives me goosebumps every time i watch this.....damn he was a good defender and a great down to earth man.
I used to get Eurosport magazine delivered to my house every month or every few months. It was spotty. I cut out the article they did about this commercial because it was so awesome! I believe it was called "Nike Soccer Vs. Evil" at the time it felt like Nike was really trying to break into the football scene. A blind referee! Footballers fighting Demons with fair play, class, and style?! Too cool!
The best football advert in history!!! Maldini set pace, my boy R9 broke few droids then my club Legend hit them with the au re voir and flicks his collar🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🙈💯✊✊✊💥💥💥💥💥💥
Ian Wright - Arsenal, Nike Ronaldo - Brazil, Umbro Eric Cantona - Manchester United, Umbro Paolo Maldini - Italy, Nike Tomas Brolin - Parma, Puma Edgar Davids - Netherlands, Lotto Patrick Kluivert - Ajax, Umbro Luis Figo - Barcelona, Kappa Rui Costa - Portugal, Olympic Jorge Campos - Nike
Does anyone noticed other brands in Nike commercial, like Umbro on Cantona's Manchester jersey, and Kappa on Figo's jersey and socks . How was that possible?
@mircea1910 Define Soccer: A game played on a rectangular field with net goals at either end in which two teams of 11 players each try to drive a ball into the other's goal by kicking, heading, or using any part of the body except the arms and hands. The goalie is the only player who may touch or move the ball with the arms or hands....Sure looked like soccer to me however perverse a version it may have been.
Tremendas leyendas que dio el fútbol pero si hay que aceptar qué hay dos que son los mejores del mundo el fenómeno Ronaldo y Paolo Maldini el ojo de dragón
Did anyone know that this was made to represent the Italy team!! Italians were known as defensive, destructive, counter attackers. Hence what they did throughout the 94 World Cup to reach final! The fact its set in colliseum says it all!!
This is the greatest commercial ever made. Back then, you couldn't find one single person who hadn't watched it at least a few times. the mission, the cage, the airport and this were the greatest made, my favorite era
true
SECOND greatest.
The real greatest is this spot's parody made in italy where a bunch of comedian remake the same spot.
Iconic the line of Claudio Lippi (host of the tv program) while shooting the penalty "A soreta!" which translate in "to your sister".
in my opinion the "jose + 10" comercial by adidas is better :D
Maldini: "Maybe they're friendly...."
*PRICELESS!!!!*
the ita subtitle translation is somethin like: "Maybe they're just ugly"
much better in the original version.
YOU ARE RIGHT FRIENDLY
Es italiano ya estaba acostumbrado con los Derby de ac Milan vs Inter de Milan
Lies again? American Education Italian Spanish
@@skytg7739came here to say this, bravo!!
of course Paolo Maldini is the first one to act against them, putting in a perfect sliding tackle, that guy was the greatest defender of the modern era and one of the greatest of all time
Normally he never even needed to slide tackle
i reckon he is the greatest defender of all time.

The Ronaldo, Figo, Rui Costa, Davids.........Golden days of football

Oh yeah, i liked him alot as goalkeeper, idk why though
I miss being a kid, drinking Pepsi and watching this kind of stuff...this commercial just takes me there man. Great times.
this commercial is true history! excellent players of all times!
You are a legend for being on TH-cam for this long
I was like 4 years old when I first saw this commercial and its still one of my favorite nike commercial. I love Nike.
Yeah right
i'm not sure those boots quite meet fifa standards.
Pretty sure spiking an opposing team member's head is against fifa regulation. Then again knowing fifa upper management? They probably got kickbacks for a friendly ref and venue.
No soy muy partidiario de Jorge Campos, pero reconozco que es un orgullo verlo como se codeó con los mejores del mundo en su momento... bien por el!!!
solo la crema y nata del futbol de aquella década! ahhh extraño esos días!
Campos, Henry, Ronaldo, Maldini, Brolin, Kluivert ......AMAZING!
Henry wasn't even there you blind fool. That was Ian Wright
Eric Cantona is the true RED DEVIL! hehehe
This is by far the best nike soccer commercial ever!! Love, love, love Paolo Maldini!!
I agree amazing
It was awesome, but I'm not sure if it was the best. There were so many awesome ones: The cage matches hosted by Cantona, The Brazil team at the airport, the allstars stealing a football, Brazil vs. Portugal in the catacombes of the stadium ...
I started to like football because of this wonderful generation of football players!
The old good times!
Probably the best ever nike football Ad!!
Watching the World Cup reminiscing about the old greats. Cantona’s au revoir was a bit of a catchphrase for a bit.
Paolo Maldini looks so damn young in this commercial!! I loved watching him play. A master of the pitch.

0:48 El "brody" Jorge Campos jajaja que tiempos!
A classic artifact of the 1990s uploaded in 240p with the crackle and pop of VHS recording off live television as to preserve authenticity.
Soccer will never be the same.

Who knew Diego Costa was in this commercial!
I don't think you mean the Atlético player; since mentioning it next to these monsters is offensive
Rui Costa, not Diego.
