My wife and I drove out to Death Valley today and it was so relaxing having the car do most of the driving. Just Cruiseing around being able to enjoy the landscape was worth the price of the car.

Great vid from both of you. I've been binge watching Model 3 videos on TH-cam the last few months (Long Range vs Performance, battery degradation issues, what to look for when taking delivery, what's covered under the Tesla warranty, etc...) and this was really helpful. I'm in the Houston area also (just north up in the Spring/Woodlands area). I think it was a great decision to go with the black interior -- it looks amazing.

We just got the performance because my boyfriend is used to fast cars. The black seats gave me peace, he works out ALOT. I did not want him to sweat the seats out lol.

I was quite surprised at how nice it was to drive one. Comfort is just fine and the visibility is great. Looking forward to my delivery. Enjoy!
It's so nice to actually get to talk to another tall person lol. Us tall guys have to stick together! Yes it was very comfortable. I used to have a chevy Camaro and a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I always tell people I had more leg room in my Camaro than I did in my jeep. The Tesla is surprisingly spacious. This huge Windows make it so easy to see around. Congrats on your order! Wow I wonder why yours is taking so long. We ordered ours on the 17th of December. I hope you get yours soon!! And yes it does have the AMD Ryzen processor. I think for now they are only using the 12v lithium batteries for the 2022 model y's.

Any special precautions regarding washing it? I Heard carwashes with brushes can scratch the paint, can you take it through a drive thru wash? How has been charging at home been, since you live in a apartment complex. In videos they recommend having a dedicated space for charging, like a Garage. Do you have 220 charger access at home are only 110? Thanks
We have only gotten it washed once so far. It was a hand wash, we were told to not use a regular car wash. Charging has been easy, our new home is being built now so we will be able to charge at home. We only live 10 minutes from a supercharger though so being in the apartment hasn't been a problem. @@jefffenn5016 I did not even know they were doing that. That would suck, one of the main reasons we waited for the 2022 model was for the lightning charging ports.
We are actually going to do a video on the buying process and wait time because the process varies depending on which model you get. We got a model 3 performance, it came within a month. What we've noticed is that for the more expensive models they prioritize them over the standard models. Except for the model y since that's their best seller (it was also the one we wanted buy were not willing to wait that long). That one is back ordered about 5-6 months. But for the model 3 standard range that you are referring to it was showing us 3-5 month waits. That's because it's way more affordable and everyone wants it. Go to Tesla.com select the vehicle you want and go to checkout to see what the wait time is. You can also go to a Tesla dealer or the website and look for used ones that are certified by Tesla. I would advise against going to a regular dealership for a Tesla, they jack the prices up soo much. We saw a 2021 Tesla Model 3 Long Range we were going to get just so we wouldn't have to wait and it was priced at $62,000 with 27k miles. Way more miles than our 2022 model 3 performance and more expensive. Thank you for watching!!

How far out was y’all’s estimated day of delivery once you ordered? I just ordered mine last week through Teslas loan associates. I was told if my car takes longer than 60 days to reach me my loan would expire, and I would have to reapply with a new loan. Which means… a second hard pull on my credit🥴
From New York I ordered the exact same model in black. I ordered it in mid February and I have an arrival date of May 20. Long wait will be worth it. It was good to hear when you said they have extra people checking for gaps and flaws. I couldn't get a straight answer from the TH-cam videos, but did your model come with floor mats? You are going to want to bring the car to the room to sleep with you haha. It is an amazing vehicle! It's the best wait and you will probably get it much sooner. And no they did not come with floor mats. All of the accessories are on amazon though. Thank you so much for watching!

It fluctuates a lot, but I know they prioritize the performance models. What model did you order? Based on our research the standard models are more affordable therefor they are in higher demand. If you are getting a y it’s a long wait for that because that’s teslas best seller.
We love the car. Pros I would say for sure no gas, no maintenance, and how tech savvy the car is. Cons for me is the fact that every time you need something minor fixed through Tesla they automatically make you pay an estimate. Sometimes they'll give it back depending on if they can cover the problem. With traditional cars usually within 30 days they take care of minor stuff so that is one major con. Also the fact that superchargers are not nearly as abundant as gas stations. Sometimes we have to go out of our way to find a charging station, and sometimes the lines are crazy long.

Cesar I don't believe we have the 4680 battery. That is supposed to be strictly for the new model y's as of now. We have the 12v Li-ion battery.

Yes we did. I believe all the new models have them.

@@victorcankaya7482 According to the Tesla agent I spoke to yesterday yes. I’m not an expert though this is my first EV so I would not know if he was right or not. This is also a brand new 2022 model 3 so I’m sure they did add double panel too it.
How far out was y’all’s estimated day of delivery once you ordered? I just ordered mine last week through Teslas loan associates. I was told if my car takes longer than 60 days to reach me my loan would expire, and I would have to reapply with a new loan.
Which means… a second hard pull on my credit🥴
From New York I ordered the exact same model in black. I ordered it in mid February and I have an arrival date of May 20. Long wait will be worth it. It was good to hear when you said they have extra people checking for gaps and flaws. I couldn't get a straight answer from the TH-cam videos, but did your model come with floor mats? You are going to want to bring the car to the room to sleep with you haha. It is an amazing vehicle! It's the best wait and you will probably get it much sooner. And no they did not come with floor mats. All of the accessories are on amazon though. Thank you so much for watching!

Our 2022 Model 3 has just heated seats, but hopefully that will change in the future through an OTA update!

It fluctuates a lot, but I know they prioritize the performance models. What model did you order? Based on our research the standard models are more affordable therefor they are in higher demand. If you are getting a y it’s a long wait for that because that’s teslas best seller.

After several months of having it. How do you like it? Any pros or cons?
We love the car. Pros I would say for sure no gas, no maintenance, and how tech savvy the car is. Cons for me is the fact that every time you need something minor fixed through Tesla they automatically make you pay an estimate. Sometimes they'll give it back depending on if they can cover the problem. With traditional cars usually within 30 days they take care of minor stuff so that is one major con. Also the fact that superchargers are not nearly as abundant as gas stations. Sometimes we have to go out of our way to find a charging station, and sometimes the lines are crazy long.
