Since recording this video some extra information has come to light. It appears the car maybe a Sunburst car that was built by Nakai-San prior to RWB. Maybe an RSR front end. There is a lot to uncover on this car...
I’ve seen that car before outside duttons and driving down swan st. It didn’t look like an rwb but it had a similar style so I’m pretty sure it’s a sunburst
@ yep, maybe, some discussion in the RWB chat group if it’s original Sunburst or RSR, very mixed opinions. I did check with Nakai-san and he definitely remembers the car and remembers building it. Amazing how many cars Nakai-san has built and that he remembers them all
i think Its goung to chew out rear bearings with those wheels and spacers. Needs turbo rear trailing arms which are mounted from a slightly different position.
@ you have to remember Rauh Welt was Nakai’s drift crew. They were all AE86’s and had Rauh Welt/ Rough world stickers. So after he got his silver narrow g-body he obviously put his crews stickers on his cars and any other Porsches he worked on since that point. That’s why you will see a lot of Porsches in Japan that don’t have RWB body kits with Rauh Welt banners. I think the rough world stickers may have started the confusion with the Sunburst car.
did this car live in WA several years ago and was sold by a small used car dealership? might be a different car.. cos it was around $**k at the time...I remember the colour and the intakes on the front and rear fenders..

Saw this at ArtNeun - very cool rig with an interesting history.
@@tonmanify definitely, a car that needs to be seen
It’s a Sunburst car. Nakai worked for them before going out on his own.
Spot on, after filming the car I got some further details from Nakai-san, a really interesting car

@ that sticker on the car is an old school decal from Nakai-sans shop, he has a sign in his workshop exactly the same
Neat 💯
Yep, cool 911
Front and rear arches are off an rsr 1974
It’s a sunburst kit from Japan, pre RWB built by Nakai-san

@@911engineguy that’s the car I believe. Imported from Japan to WA before finding its way to Melbourne 👍
@@OutlawGarage oh... want me to say how much it was back then? probably shouldnt...
@ I’m not sure to be honest, but definitely a great buy 👍👍
I wouldn't restore it. Every blemish tells a story, don't take the car's history away.
Exactly , I feel the same way
