@@J1M1F yes I saw that at the end just look around you will find the right speedster. I like the speed to James Dean had when he died in 550 spider at Porsche was very fast and I think he died in 1955 at the age of 23. I take care happy new year and you have a great day.
If someone has a slot for a rare car, he must have a big collection of that brand. Else he would not get offered a slot. Ask him about his collection of cars, if possible check out his barn and/or ask for a full list and pics. That should give a clue if the seller is sincere or a con artist.
Wow, What a close call. Thank goodness you didn’t lose the 10K. I also love a Speedster, I was once lucky enough to drive a friend’s 89 Speedster, roof down, just a lovely car.
@@TheSnookerGym This could’ve gone so much horribly worse. His accountant could’ve entered the right account #’s but put in the wrong amount. Scammer could’ve actually walked away with 100k instead of 10k if he had just added an extra zero. Ugh. So, that’s a tough call whether to keep the accountant or call Ben Affleck, the other accountant, and have him taken out. For good. Ugh again.
I don’t get the fascination with the Speedster. It just looks like a standard 911 cab to me. I didn’t even know it existed until watching your videos and I like to think I’m fairly familiar with 911 models.
@challengetheroad I appreciate that, but it just doesn’t stand out or look anything special. 99% of people would look at that and think standard 911 cab. 80-90 grand car.
I felt sick for 8 weeks once I sold my pre face lift Macan GTS loved that car big mistake huge 😂 that car was everything you would ever need sounded outrageous too…
@ I really wanted to upgrade to the full facelift version 440 Bhp put I just couldn’t get over how quiet it was…I’d invest in a well looked after 360bhp OG 2018 model…after 6 years mine looked brand new inside smelt amazing had full alcantara though.
I hope you’ve passed all details to the police to stop someone else being scammed by this person, including the bank account he wanted the money sending to. You said at the start of the video you wanted to stop other people being scammed. If you did, what did the police say?
Ugly car, impractical, and engine in wrong place - cannot see the appeal at all either of the car or of playing this game of buying limited cars at a ‘discount’ with fake Hermes / Rolex style scarcity. There are always mugs for those brands though and the same applies to Ferrari and Porsche. Friend of ours had brought TEN new Ferraris from the same dealer and STILL was not certain if getting an 812 comp spot. . Having said this, we all have our favourites and this is a very valuable video to help others.
❤❤😂😢😮😮😊😅 bro I would be pissed if someone scammed me. I’ll be one hell of a mother effort and there is a company at a UK called ES motors check them out they sell cars and their fast cars so check them out. I’m not too sure what city in the UK but I see their video TH-cam all the time and there’s seem like very good people take care and that sucks. You got scammed. I’m gonna finish the video and I have a blessed day and a blessed week and happy new year brother.
ES motors do sell cars. I’m not too sure if they have a speedster. I like those two Jerry Seinfeld had a speedster, but I don’t know if he still has it. He sold one of his 992s last year. I take care I didn’t subscribe because I only like all Porsches or Beamer and Fords. I don’t like Corvette. I only like Ferrari. I don’t like Lamborghini. I don’t like McLaren.
@@Challengetheroad Made up you did Richard and the bacs payment never went through As you said sometimes when you want something so bad you get blindsided
Interesting story Richard and very lucky…Think I’d have bought a lottery ticket that week!
I should have done! I really felt sick when they said they had no orders but so pleased the payment didn’t go through

Surely the strap line should have read. ' I Cannot beleive that I almost got scammed'
I did get scammed but was so Lucky in the end!
@@Challengetheroadno you didn’t. You almost got scammed. You’re above click bait, old chap.
@@Ronburgundy75 Yes he did get scammed. The number error by the bank was unrelated to the scam and the only reason he avoided the money loss.
Title of video should be ..My accountant whos. not great with numbers saved me from getting scammed 10K
I can totally understand how the temptation of a car you love can result in lowering your guard... So glad you caught it in time!
Thanks Ant, very Lucky in the end!

We had long conversations on the phone, I got lucky with this one
All Porsches are a scam, right out of the factory.
I'm so glad you didn’t lose the money AND you learnt your lesson. Blessings come when you least expect them!
Thank you, yes feel very lucky with the money not going through!

Great story. What a relief that the accounts guy bodged the number. Hate to see people conned
Best mistake we have made! 🤣

Glad to hear it ended well Richard. Did you report the fraudster to the police?
What did he get 6 months...out in 4?did you have to appear in court to support the conviction?
Either sack your accountant for being useless with numbers, or give him a bonus for saving you 10k 😂😂
🤣
After the money didn’t get transferred, did the scammer contact and ask about the money. Seems strange he would just go away.
Great honest video. Thanks we all need to be alert it can and does happen to anyone, no matter how smart we think we are.
Very Lucky not to lose that money!
Very very lucky! Thank God you’re accounts guy is bad with numbers 😂
🤣
Glad you didn't actually lose out.
Thanks Jamie, I was very lucky that day!
Me too - incredibly relieved to hear the punch line. But should have outed the guy
So when you do get an allocation for a special car and the deposit deadline is approaching
don't let your accounts man anywhere near the transaction 😂
Imagine Porsche ST 🤣
Johnny Johnson’s Mk1X Spitfire.
How did it turn out with the scammer, I.e.: what happened next?
There was something in the papers and pretty sure he went back after coming out for doing the same thing.
Close but good you did not lose any money
