Im a graphic designer, and i’m gonna start an education for Spatial Design. Already have a old mac that still runs adobe okay. I think this video convinced me that the ipad pro is a better choice for me than a macbook. Its lighter and smaller for traveling to school, i can finally draw digitally and i can still use alot of the same adobe features. And its cheaper☺️
I use Side car with my iPad and Mac Studio in the Adobe apps. The magic keyboard case for the iPad is a great accessory that gives me more control in combination with the pen. Runs pretty smoothly! Great video, Will!
I actually bought a 9th gen Ipad just for me to be ready learning more about Graphic design in school and after that i will finally be a graphic designer. ❤️❤️
Recently picked an iPad Pro up as a new laptop replacement and to use for illustration and such, and I gotta admit it, the Adobe Apps are very disappointing to use on here. Maybe I just need more time to learn the ropes of the simplified version of illustrator, but there’s just some things a mouse just can’t do when it comes to illustration. Great video, hopefully I can apply things and tips that you have been able to do using your iPad Pro. As a PC user, hopefully I don’t run into any hiccups in terms of compatibility issues while hopping between devices and such. The iPad though great in many different areas, just can’t quite replace the laptop/macbook (yet).
for long drawing sessions, you would think that Paperlike would require more effort (due to increased drag and friction) and make you more tired than the glassy surface of the naked iPad Pro screen
As much as I love my iPad Pro and as good as the Apple Pencil is, I really wish we had a third generation that had any racer on the bat that acted like a button and a button on the side that were all customizable so I could have more than one option other than the double tap which is very very unintuitive.
Hi Will thanks fot the video!! I have a question. I have the ipad pro 9,7” (2016) and a Microsoft PC so my doubt is if is it possible to use photoshop on the ipad and how to connect it to the pc, is ig possible? Hope you can help me!! Thank you so much!!
Hi Will. At around 2:03 you use a sort of mind mapping program. What is the program you're using, please? It looks very versatile and easy to use when creating a linearity of ideas…
@@willpatersondesign - Thanks for replying, Will. I'll check it out. By the way, your work is great - and I say that as an ex-creative director of some thirty years. I'm fascinated - and inspired - by young creatives like yourself and your use of technology that simply wasn't around when I was a young designer.
For for a mixed 7 and 8 grade graphic design class is an ipad air sufficient or should I make an persuasive argument for buying the ipad pros? We will be using apps like procreate and illustrator.
I just bought iPad Pro 12 inch. I want to use it 8 hours a day but I’m afraid it it fry the battery or gets lags every time I use it too much. I’m new with this device any tips
Dude i just started to learn graphic design nd it's frustrating not being able to use the free version of figma or even the cracked version of premiere pro( i was planning to buy till i make sm money).......im sooo deeply demotivated
Hi I have a query related to ipad, in iPad pro (128gb) can I do heavy animation on after effects or 4k video editing in premiere pro easily? Because I want to buy a iPad pro instead of editing laptop.
Hope you guys enjoyed the video!
How well does the photoshop app work on this ipad?
I love my iPad Pro. Its pretty much replaced my mac. I use the Affinity apps, and now i'm learning video editing in Luma fusion.
Do u have the 12.9 or 11 inch
Great, did you try DaVinci Resolve ipad app?
Luma Fusion ftw! It’s easy to understand and works well.

Side Car is the GOAT.

Haven’t used Fresco before really but will definitely give it a shot if it offers better chances for precision with design work

not a graphic designer or a professional artist but still watching video and im really enjoying it
Thank you for watching! Great to have you here:)
Fresco is truly underrated
Hey quick question. Since colour is important for you. Is the ipad colour accurate?
Alhamdulillah very much informative. I was thinking of drawing device that match my requirements. Thanks brother.
there is any way to use in adobe indesign in these ipad things...?
Amazing video and really nice scripting

not really, it's just like paper :)

Is the 12.9 inch really that important as a graphic designer/illustrator or can the 11 inch suffice?
Hi what pen would you recommend when choosing? Regards

Wait, hold on. I can use the iPad as a Wacom tablet with my Mac book when using Photoshop and Illustrator? Is this true?
Thank you for very informative video,, which generation ipad do you use for graphic design?
What is the app you're using at 2:04?
What can I say your videos very helpful for me ❤️
I was super excited for drawing with sidecar but I just can’t get used to it. It feels wonky and less responsive than the Wacom tablet.
Very helpful. Thank you
So glad!

would it be possible to create a 70x100 cm poster in high resolution ?
I tried one before settling for a Wacom Cintiq. Personally, I found it much less awkward to work with as a Windows user - I do miss Procreate though.
❤love it
