Thank you Henry, I am about to upgrade my 5th gen I pad and really wanted to get the best for my needs. I do plenty of drawings and use it as another monitor. I also want it to go in the field with me for markups and meetings. Lastly and most important I want to be able to use Matterport for room scanning so the Lidar camera is a must. I was waiting for the I pad pro for that last reason most of all.
@@HenryGao Hi Henry, Thank you for the response. Do use a cover for your iPad that allows the apple pencil to charge while in the sleeve? If so which one? Thank you in advance and thank you for the wonderful videos.
As a 2011 architecture grad I am so jealous. Do the schools still have computer labs with the applicable software students need? If so, I would be using the school's PCs for autodesk programs and I wouldn't bother with a personal laptop. I'd get a 13" ipad pro with a cheap 3rd party bluetooth keyboard and stylus. The pencil pro would be on my birthday or christmas list. You can do all of your gen ed on an iPad now. You can do some architectural studio work as well with the Affinty or Adobe suite.
but some schools don't have computer lab tho and when your past the first year you need a laptop of your own - im gonna buy an ipad air because it's gonna help me a lot and later on i might invest in a pro if i need one
Hi Henry, I have a question. I'm stuck between the Ipad Air and the Ipad Pro, I've never used one before and I'd like to improve my drawing skills, so I'd like to use apps like procreate and photoshop, but as a student I'd like to use the Ipad as well to take notes and to make long recordings of my lectures. So, I'm pretty hesitant because, actually, I can afford the Pro but in the same I can do without it and take the Air, if I don't use its features 100%. What would you advise to a beginner like me who wants to improve with this tool ? And I would like some advice also for the storage, because with the notes, drawings and procreate files I was thinking maybe to take a 256gb but I was wondering if the 128gb is way enough?
I would consider Pro only if you want the larger 12.9" display, which is what I have. 256gb will be more comfortable, but you can survive on 128gb if you are careful. (I have 128gb, but I don't use it other than design work).
Hello! I want to have an iPad for drawing and presenting purpose mostly. What would you recommend, the normal iPad or IPad Air? I will mostly use procreate and morpho
Hi Henry, I have air 4 with me and I am looking for a change as my air 4 is getting old. I am a fashion designer and artist. Can you please suggest me which iPad to go for ? Will mean a lot.
Hi Henry. Just a question which into my mind. Is it better to buy an Ipad as an architect or a normal tablet? Knowing that sometimes you have to import your sketches to your laptop or desktop
Hey Henry, I'm an interior designer. And would like to know if SketchUp performs good on the iPad. And can we render out images on ipad like we do in PC using SketchUp & vray5 ?
Hi Henry, I have Samsung galaxy tab 7 plus, it does not have procreate or morpholio.. I do have concept though.. Do you recommend using apple iPad instead? Hope you try that Samsung device.
Hi Henry, I am a budding landscape designer from India. I am planning to build basic models from SketchUp or Archicad and use the models in digital sketching apps to present it well. I used to have Microsoft surface Pro 7, but unfortunately not great sketching apps are window OS friendly. I am thinking of investing in an iPad pro 12.9 inch M2 chip, do you think this is a good idea? Thanks in advance, your videos are always helpful 🙂
Absolutely this will last you for years to come! Many older models will handle sketching apps just fine too if you are looking for more cost effective options.
hey, what would you suggest between ipad air 128gb 13’’ & galaxy s9 fe plus? i’m a architecture student have a good laptop too my main motive is for sketchup and notes taking. im pretty confused since samsung have almost same or even better features but i doubt if it’ll take the load of softwares while rendering and stuff. also, its easy to download apps and everything on android but i so wanted to have the experience of procreate as well. and i’m iphone 13 user so im dicey if i will like the android again! pls pls pls reply asap thank you
Hi i have a Ipad 4 and want to know if you can view a PDF AND listen to music/words as i am doing a Language course so need separate sound and PDF. On a Desktop, i can have multiple apps running, can you do this on Ipad 4 ? Thanks for any help.
i am a profesional graphic designer and use a 2023 macbook pro. i want to add an ipad to my workflow. Anyone got experience and can recomend me something? also what about conectivity with ipad and macbook?
What do you think about buying an iPad or a laptop for an abyss of interior design and a desire to learn design and self-study it through the available programs? Which is better, an iPad Air or a mid-performance laptop? Can you give me suggestions?
Hey i will pursue product designing so i was thinking of purchasing ipad pro m2 chip and a gaming laptop for smooth software working I am confused i need suggestions
Hello, Henry. I have noticed in your videos that you don’t use a paper like screen protector. Have you tried? I am thinking about buying one but do not know whether it is really necessary. Thanks!
I definitely use one and highly recommend anyone who plans to draw on the iPad getting one. You can find the product I use in the video description, called Paperfeel
I am a staring my company and need to produce drawings for decks. Is this something I can take a picture of the existing house and deck and then make additions and changes to produce a drawing for a permit. If so what I pad should I get.
@@HenryGao Thanks. My 39 year old brother passed away and now I have to be the boss. Going from the field to quickbooks, estimates, taxes and company structuring takes some time. Hello Henry! I use laptop for AutoCAD and 3D rendering. I was thinking to buy an ipad/ tablet for some presentation, sketches and zoom meeting, since I need a portable device to carry around. Do you recommend an ipad or samsung tab (eventhough I prefer ipad) since I'm using windows, so I'm afraid it won't work out with an ipad? I'd go for a suitable one and I don't want to regret for spending money on it. Thank you!
Thanks a lot for these important info. 👌👏👏 ... could u give us an experience or review for wacom cintique products ... even if it's gonna be a review for someone you know ... cause the wacom poducts has a tremendous display which is suitable for those like landscape architects and urban designers...🙏🙏🙏 and thanks a lot for that impressive content you showcase...
I had a 24” cintique and sold it after acquiring iPad. The portability aspect was more important for me than having a larger display. iPad 12.9” is sufficient for my needs, knowing when to zoom in and out is key.

I would too if I didn't want a larger display!
