I was diagnosed in November 2021 with a 14.5 A1c. It is now 5.9 without medication. I'm a type 2 diabetic. Lower carb, CGM, lifting weights and walking 10K-12K steps a day. Lifting weights was the game changer for me.

I was diagnosed Nov 2021, T2, 9.5 A1C, my pcp said you can't reverse diabetes while she laughed and shook her head. My last A1c was 6.1, im trying to reverse mine.

can you share your age? PM me if needed- sounds good- I'm walking 12K+ using the CGM- I do a lot of landscaping which is great activity - but I too need to start lifting weights. and almost no pasta and bread. Im 73 down to 178 lbs.

I have been learning that if you just cut out sugar, white flour, ultra processed stuff, and vegetable oils, and replace them with fresh vegetables with a focus on greens, fresh fruits with a focus on berries, lean meats, healthy natural fats, eggs, cottage cheese and yogurt, lentils, and some other high fiber foods, you won't be hungry or want to eat all the time.
Then you will continually lose weight without deprivation diets. And you can live with this for life.

I got rid of type2 by eating 6 cups (mostly leafy green)vegetables a day. 6 yrs later,an unavoidable long~term, high stress situation found me using carbs to cope & diabetic symptoms returned. I’m back on the greens and getting back to normal again.

Mine never talks about food. Uncomfortable if you mention it. My family doc sent me to a nutritionist when I asked about food. They only talk about pills and products they can profit from . So sad

Ive heard of this diet long ago. Recently I was forced to get off of Rybelsus as my gut went thru a complete shut down of peristalsis. I am slowly trying to get back my biota, and normalize things but it will take awhile. I think this diet can be a good cleansing diet to re establish things. Thanks for showing this to us!

Edema can be an internal infection, which can be treated with a short course of antibiotics. I had that once and it went away. I haven't had any swelling since.

Whoever writes your superimposed captions isn't understanding you very well. At 19:16 when you say "chew a gum" (of course it should've been "chew gum"), they captioned it as "SUGAR GUM." That means they're not using common sense; they should know a diabetes doctor would not be recommending "sugar gum"!

If you use a sauna, is it melting away this bad fat around your liver?
When I had a sauna, I felt so much healthier and had more energy than I do now. Never had blood sugar issues then (ate junk) but I’m struggling now

OK - so what do you suggest to someone who is allergic to herbs and spices, has gastric problems so can't have lemons, limes Oranges etc? Where Milk based cereal settles the stomach, eating greens (kale, brocolli, peas etc) regurgitate automatically not voluntarily?

Tips: Eat leafy veggies first followed by protein/fat and last… any carbs (reduced potions).
      Vinegar helps lower spikes.
Walking after each meal. I walk about 1-2 miles after every meal….. almost cuts the curve in 1/2.
If you use tortillas, make sure they are zero net carb.
I never eat processed foods, white flour items, white sugar, white potatoes (and very little sweet potato), no white rice.
      It is helping my A1C
