After watching this I brought a 2nd hand one on eBay for £60 which is a slightly older model but seems exactly the same, apart from the colour. I like the simplicity of the set up and it’s easy to lug around on my bike packing adventures. Great review! I look forward to using it soon
pleased that my video helped you and i still use the one man and the two man versions , never let me down yet , fantastiv tent , hope that you enjoy and please keep me updated , happy camping
Great review. Loads of details that really matter when you're thinking of buying a tent but can't see it in person. Looks like a really spacious bivvy and actually enough space inside for a rucksack as well. Will seriously consider getting one. Thanks for taking the time to do this review.
i have one of these tents its bomb proof and very well made its never let me down in all weathers one of the best on the market for the price i paid 80 pounds
@@SunriseToSunsetwithStefDawson Allo mate. So i funally managed to get out for my first wild camp. I lasted until 1030 lol A group of teens decided to have a party nearby which meant noise, shouting, music and other raucous behavior. Also i landed myself at a bloody dogging location as well lol. My dig was going ape st alknthe noise so it was time to go! Next time im choosing an open field lol
Quick one for you, on the inner at the foot end the bath tub seems to go further up than the one I had, is this a newer model? that was the only weakness before the vent let rain blow in, good review by the way.
I bought exactly the the same one as you in Dark Moss about 2 years ago. Loved it but only used it twice. Stopped using it because I bought the Dutch Army Bivvy and find that better for my type of wild camping. Then I found hammocking. But, I would like to take the Wolfskin Gossamer 1 back out again for the run outs it deserves. Enjoyed this vid. Incidentally, are you still using yours?
my favourite places to wildcamp are in the medway towns, wouldham or cobham woods and around canterbury area, normally around the north downs way areas, i also sometimes camp on the nudist beach in leysdown on the Isle Of Sheppey, many of my videos are filmed in these locations
@@SunriseToSunsetwithStefDawson thanks buddy. I've got a small list that I am going to get through. Mereworth Woods, bluebell Hill, Blean Woods, North downs. Forgot about Cobham! Once I've done them I'll. Go further afield. I heard the nudist beach can be a bit dodgy lol
@@TheFairway8 what dog do you have? I take my sprocker and he slides in next to me. Bit of a squeeze but we stay warm and condensation is even greater reduced
why these „review youtubers“ are always start with the final structure and always forget to show the very important packing size?! Excuse me for my previous comment!!
i do apreciate that comment , and i should follow your advice, me personally never included the pack size as i never use the provided stuff sack included, as i tend to distribute my tent around my rucksack , example , i carry the poles outside and normally the tent is inside or hanging in a seperate drip bag if it wet on the outside , i will try to do better , thanks you once again for your helpful comment ,

i do believe that this could be a newer model

Great review :)
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice review and nice color. This tent is in Germany only in 2 colors (mountain green/cactus green) available. When and where did you buy it?
i bought this tent from amazon
Nice review with great details! Could I ask how much you paid for it?
i paid £130 from amazon , and its well worth it in my honest opinion
@@SunriseToSunsetwithStefDawson thanks, I will buy it yeah, here in the Netherlands it costs 130 euros

i regulary use my gossamer 1 tent , and now also my gossamer 2 tent , it depends on where i am wildcamping , both are fantastic
@@SunriseToSunsetwithStefDawson You have the 2 too. I wished I’d got the 2 and not the 1.
Glad you are liking them.
Btw whereabouts do you go camping in Kent roughly? Just to get some ides where I can go really.

the nudist beach is only dodgy when i am there ha ha , but good luck and let me know how you get on mate
Good interesting video. Looks a larger size bivvi, do you think there would be enough room for a person and a large dog? Cheers

I can only find the white mesh ones....

my new jack wolfskin gossamer2 has a white mesh , and i must admit , i do prefer the dark mesh ,
@@SunriseToSunsetwithStefDawson yeah, it is weird that the default seems to be white...

Ik vond er 1 vandaag, ook white mesh, nagelnieuw in een kringloopwinkel, voor drie euro!! Had ook liever met zwart gehad maar voor deze prijs...
Is there any space for your backpack in the tent
i find that putting my rucksack across the bottom on the tent inside is the best place
