Bought a Jack Wolfskin tent around 25 years ago, only semi retired it last year... in fact they could even sell me a new pole two years ago when one finally broke. Brilliant tents.
Amazing in depth review. Got this in my basket on Amazon, this is exactly the review i was looking for. Good idea about the lighter pegs too. Just hope it fits into the side pocket of my 41 L backpack.
Paul Stevenson cheers for watching and subscribing mate! Much appreciated. Glad you like the tent. They're a bit bulky but worth it. Very luxurious I found. The rain test was completely unplanned lol.
I've been humming and ahhing over one of these for a while now. Think I might have to get ANOTHER shelter. (You can never have enough) Great video. ATB
It is a decent tent but surplus to requirements for me so I'm going to sell it. I've got too many tents lol I just don't use it much anymore only to lend it to people. Cheers for watching and commenting mate.
I don't own this tent anymore mate sorry, I sold it ages ago. I think yes you can peg them together with the same peg. Search for a set up vid for this tent or a snugpak ionosphere cos it's basically the same tent.
I love this tent, I call it the Jack Foreskin cuz you can peel back the outer layer and enjoy the breeze and stars on a hot summer night. Out in it tonight for the first time since last year :)
thegeordiefellwalker I agree it's on the heavy side but it'd be ok for one of my local wildcamps with not much walking involved. I need to sell some of my older shelters lol. but I like to have variety in kit rather than just use the same stuff everytime. atb Tom.
Me and my mate are sitting here watching all your videos yet again ,so sorry for all the late comments.... but keep up with the fantastic videos you do , and hope to see more of candice I think she is amazing x
Liked your videos and thinking about getting a jack wolf skin tent can you pitch it without the inner tent and could you put up a video on step by step pitching thanks keep up the good videos
i dont think you can pitch it without the inner, why would you want to? may as well buy a tarp then if thats what you plan to do tbh mate. i dont do pitch set up videos because i dont want to come across as some wannabe expert giving out advice, people get pissy about it. thanks for watching though, worth buying one.
Looks spot on Tom, plenty of room for you and your kit. You can never have enough tents or tarps mate, I've got three tents and three tarps which always comes in handy if a friend wants to come wild camping but hasn't got much if any kit of there own. Looking forward to seeing you test that bad boy out. Cheers Tom. Atb Sconja 👍
TOM OUTDOORS just won one on eBay in the moss colour 🙌🏻😜 should be here Wednesday. My 3rd one man tent ⛺️ 1sr was the Akto, then a soulo so hopefully I will like this as much 😜
Just wanted to say thanks! Was and still am considering this tent. Looks like it might be a bit long (when packed) for what I need. Ill watch your other vids on this. Cheers
Bargain, I had a Jack Wolfskin termite 25 years ago and it was bomb proof. It cost me £220 back then. I highly recommend the brand and quite fancy one of these. I'm looking at the Rab and Snugpak bivvy.
Philip Nicolson both look like solid choices for bivvys mate. I always think if I don't like a shelter I could always sell it on here, easier than eBay. thanks for watching mate, atb Tom.
This tent is a much much better version of the Eureka solitaire tent its around the same price but this tent is probably 5 times better due to it has a 4000mm rain rating and its darker so it makes it stealthier.
nice score on ebay. I just bought a 1949 split bamboo conventional bass rod for $39. I have only seen one other in existence! you never know what youll find on ebay
i love ebay, i could spend hours on it. way more fun than normal shopping lol. cheers for watching mate, im currently watching some of your vids too lol.
yeah it stood up to some pretty bad winds and heavy rain, even got snowed on and it was fine. you cant sit up in it but there is loads of room all around you. its a well made tent, but i hadnt used it for ages and recently sold it.
Unsure tbh mate. 6ft 7 is pushing it possibly. Search online for the tents measurements. Failing that you might be better off with a bivvy bag and tarp set up. That would fit you no problem. But I'm no expert. Trial and error for you I think mate. Hope this helps.
@@TOM_OUTDOORS I'm travelling for hopefully a year so I'd really prefer a double skinned tent for the sort of camping im hoping. Just found a cheap one of these for £35 on gumtree but yeah I think i would be pushing it :(
@@TheStu909 tarp and bivvy would protect you just fine. You'd have more space to sit up and move about under a tarp. Plus a variety of configurations based on your location and pitch. That's your options. Unfortunately they just don't make tents for tall people.
@@TOM_OUTDOORS So after much deliberation I've decided i am going to buy a tarp and bivvy bag. Have you got any recommendations? I'm looking for a midrange bivvy as I may be using it for weeks at a time during the summer. How much do I need to spend on a tarp and what should I look out for?
stealth Andy cheers mate, just the one jack wolfskin tent and a load of other tents and shelters. I'm doing a competition when I get to 1000 subscribers so I'll be giving away a few of them lol the ones I don't want anymore. Only rule is you have to be a subscriber.
TOM OUTDOORS hi mate I wish you the best on the subs hopefully you get they . I've got the mil Tec recon one in woodland cam . love it . stands up too wind rain . but never had it in snow yet :-( . can't wait for that . I'll keep my eyes open for one . ATB u an family
Tom that is a very lite bivvy. By the way do you work out? those arms!! Check out one of our videos at the gym with the family.th-cam.com/video/Dm3k79ggFiA/w-d-xo.html
its not the lightest, in fact its more of a tent thats shaped like a bivvy i thought lol. yeah, im a personal trainer and the head gym instructor at my local gym mate. ok i'll have a look thanks chap, atb Tom.

Cheers mate hope you enjoy the tent. I was slightly sad to part with mine but I had no use for it anymore. Great little stealth tent.
Reminds me of my old dearly missed Peapod.
Helpful video thanks. Also good to see that you weren't touching cloth inside the tent.
thanks for the positive feedback!

Just picked 2017 model up for £54 delivered new for a spot of Wild Camping, my Banshee 200 was slightly too heavy for a lightweight wild camp.
sorry only just seen this. nice one mate.
TOM OUTDOORS used it in Kent last night 3 degrees with new 3M AegisMax bag...was very toasty!
Banshee is lighter 😂😂
Nice 👍
Just got the gossamer II
It's a bit heavier
