Thanks, I've swapped out the bulging plastic side panels with flat metal ones that hug the frame and changed the bars to some with more pullback since this video was taken, but it's slowly coming together to how I want it to look.
cheers guys, its been sold a while now but I saw it for sale the other day on gumtree so went to have a look at it to maybe buy it back....its sad to see what happens to a bike in 18mths with no love :-( I'm sure this guy hasn't washed it once since he bought it.....so its got rust and corrosion all over it & he was telling me porky's about what'd been done to it not knowing I was the person that built it, I just walked away in disgust.
This is the spitting image of my 2008 C50T that I am converting to a bobber to give it a different feel. Not too much deviation from stock at all, but still looks mean with the convert! Great job guy!
Cheers, yeah didn't go to wild with the build, but if your headin down the path of using the same kit, some advice don't lower it more than 1" as I found with the 3" lowering links the back guard hit the seat on bigger bumps with a 75Kg rider.
Sold my bike to a mate about 3 moths ago, that way he could come riding also. With the coin I ended up buying a 2012 Triumph street Triple 675R, would have been nice to be able to keep the bobber but atleast I can ride it every now and then.
Hi, I notice your in the US? I'm in Australia, anyway I've just changed the vid title as they are no longer for sale, I'm now selling the bike with them. You've got a nice looking C50 if that's your red one...great color.
Not for just an exhaust change if you keep the 02 sensors in situ. If you were to add higher flowing intake and an exhaust then yes you should remap the ecu or get a piggyback tuner.
BoY860I'd sold this bike a couple of years ago now, but I hear it ride past me every now and then as it resides in the same neighborhood, and yes it sounds great (I’m alittle jealous as I don’t have a bike at the moment), even when riding it hard it’s not obnoxiously loud & it’s not too soft that it sounds like an OEM 883 HarleySportster. If you want to get the best sound off youtube put a set of good quality noise cancelling headphones on and you'll get a reasonable idea of their sound from my clip.
Hi Josh, bluecollarbobbers.com/suzuki-volusia-c50-800/ has the whole bobber kit, nice quality parts and nice people to deal with, the pipes are still around, not cheap though... COBRA 3918 EXHAUST STRD SD C50/M50 ebay.us/wUW3jt
Hahahaha you obviously don't know how expensive Harley's are to buy in Australia, an 883 of the same year would be more than twice this price to buy in the same condition...
shajar32, I actually didn't realize you were in Australia. now that I know that, you may possibly have one of the nicest motorcycles in Australia. from way over here in the US it looks like there's not that many nice custom rides in that country. And I'm sure a harley is quite expensive over there. Stick with what ya have. Well done sir.
shajar32, By the way, my son owns an intruder also and wants to change his tank. he loves yours and wants to know what kind of tank that is or what it is off of.

People that abuse a vehicle suck....

Thanks for the advice.....and Ilike how you left the front guard off also!

Is that all from blue collar bobber?
Was a great little bike, kinda wish I hadn't have sold it now...
ive been reading when changing my exhaust system i need to change my ECU because of the fuel injection? Is this true?

Where did you get the metal panels at?
Im between these and krome sideburner. How loud are they? Are you satisfied? hard to really get the picture on youtube.

What kind of seat is that? Is it comfortable?
Bluecollarbobber seat kit large, yes the padding was good enough for longer rides

very nice build. but for what you got invested in that build you could have bought a new Harley
