My main carry is a plastic picnic knife that's been slightly modified. It does what needs to be done without complaint, as long as it's just stabby requests and not cutty requests.
I finally got an AG Russell Acies (v1) so i haven't been carrying my Inkosi at all lately. Im not sure the Acies is a better knife, but its damn close and i like zdp a whole lot more that s45vn. Thats been my most carried. Nothing else has really been as consistent as the Acies, but my 4v Goddard would be the closest. Other than that, the 20cv Subvert, Maxace Amber 2S and WE Synergy 2v2 would probably be my most carried. Regarding Benchmade's m390; i have a 781, 761 and 928 and the 761 in m390 deburrs easier and holds an edge quite a bit longer than the 20cv in the other two.
Interesting! I don’t currently have a Benchmade in 20CV (gave one away) to test side by side with the M390, but it’s interesting you’ve seen a trend. I just got a Manix in 20CV and I’m excited to see how that performs.
@@olbubs I've been doing some testing on my second replacement 20CV Subvert (not happy with Spyderco atm, but that's a story for another day) and the 20cv has been super impressive. Lots of cardboard and rope cutting, and a bit of edge stability testing in some nasty hardwood and it's just now really losing its front end sharpness. I'd bet that you're gonna be impressed with the 20cv in the Manix.
Yooo Bubs I know you love the SQD2. I guess the exact finish is all preference but I’ve been looking for one really good Ti or something that just feels really nice. Would you suggest the Vero over the SQD2? Totally different knives of course but price range they are both waaay up there so if you had to choose between the 2 which one do you like? I also recently discovered a love for some McNees knives. I want to get one really nice knife for my collection
If you like the look that Vero has going on, I’d definitely go that direction. I think Vero knives are really good looking. The synapse and axon are some of my best looking knives. There’s also always Chris Reeves stuff, but you are bumping up a price bracket.
@@olbubs I just bought a second hand Kizer T1 last week and I fucking love this thing haha. It’s my first ever titanium knife. Well I have one of those knife center exclusive pyrites and those have titanium but it’s not full Ti I guess. Idk lol. But that Kizer feels so amazing, to me, I cannot wait to see how a nicer more expensive knife feels. Although I know that doesn’t mean anything when I say expensive. But I’m sure there are some nicer feeling ones and I needs one of them nicer ones 😂
Fantastic lineup! I’ll buck the trend and agree with you about the Narrows. It truly is amazing.
It’s just functionally exceptional!

Wow! Amazing.
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed!
