Hi Leonhart! I've been here ever since u had 150k subs. Love ur channel! I keep my pokemon cards in top loaders and I use a Baby whipe container to hold my cards! I know it seems weird but hey my cards are in fantastic condition. Btw, Nice Video!!!😃
Alexanders VeryOwn my dad threw mine out when I was 10. I’m now 19. I lost a lot of vintage English and Japanese cards, but I’m starting a new collection now that I can.
@@dwightk.schrute394 Same, I'm starting a new collection. Starting with Cosmic eclipse and some hidden fates. But I still can't get over the fact that I lost cards from the beginning to like the black and white era
Alexanders VeryOwn this is what I thought happened- my mom told me she tossed them I was so mad for so long. When I called her and told her I found them she was as happy as I was
I recommend top loaders or double sleeves The only Pokémon cards that survived water from my house fire were those. Single sleeve took water in like crazy
For sealed booster packs, you can use ultra pro tarrot card game sleeves. English booster packs fit flush due to the large size of the sleeves. If you collect vintage sealed topps pokemon boosters they will not fit. Use mayday games extra large penny sleeves.
I thought of a good idea for maybe a video series. Pick one set and make videos of you trying to complete the whole set and then show it off. Maybe do it with a set budget for each week. Just a thought I had.
Welllllll..... Technically, you put the card in upside down in the perfect fit, then put the perfect fit, open end first into a normal sleeve so the card isnt upside down when playing, and protects from dust and some moisture.
It's all us 90s kids, now some of us have kids ourselves and perhaps some disposable income to boot. 2021 is gonna be another good year for pokemon! Hopefully the rest of the world too!
For storage containers you can use PLANO ammo boxes. Their olive green, air tight rubber sealed, perfect demmisions for standing boosters, or protected cards, and are about $4 dollars at your local walmart sporting sections. Their olive green in color. This is probably more suitable for the adult collector.
@@DistopiaKosaki are you dumb? There’s no such thing as mint condition? Have you not seen some of these graded slabs people are getting back with 9 & 10 Mints? Yes there are plenty of us who have MINT cards.
Noticed the elite trainer sleeves are slightly bigger than those pokeball sleeves you got, which I have bought the pokeball ones myself. I say that because when I put them in upside down and then in my binder, it's more difficult to put it with the elite trainer sleeves.
I mainly come from playing Magic the Gathering and I've found the best products to use are Dragon Shield sleeves. Sure, they're typically meant for competitive play, but I've been using them for my complete run of unlimited base set that I'm putting together. Dragon Shield also makes a sealable inner sleeve that I love, and they use no glue. Trust me, this isn't me shilling. I've used and/or still use a variety of products from different brands on my decks. Just personal preference is for Dragon Shield.
Thank you so much! I store my cards in a binder where the cards are in a perfect fit sleeve, then a deck sleeve, and finally put in a side loader page. No other TH-cam channel acknowledged this as good or bad so finding that was what you recommended helps a lot!
This video was very helpful to me since I just started collecting Pokemon cards again. Thanks so much for the awesome tips Leonhart and keep up on the amazing videos dude.
I use those kmc tight fit sleeves and top loaders for my vintage holos or full art cards. Gx and holos I put in a binder. I always wondered what the best way was to store them. Great video 😄

I just got back into collecting Pokemon cards. I have around 1700 of them and just ordered a 100-pack of the KMC sleeves. I do have some of the deck protector sleeves as well, I will try out putting my most valuable into the KMC then deck protector into my side-loading binder and see how it goes. Thanks!
Yes, putting them in a regular binder will ruin the card if you're trying to get it graded, sleeve that bitch ASAP when you can and slap it in a card saver after
A bit late to the party but I have yet to find a consensus on this. I use two of the Ultra Pro binders featured in your video. All cards have deck protector sleeves, and all WOTC holos and all Ultra Rares are double-sleeved with KMC perfect fit inner sleeves. What I've been debating is whether it is better to stack the two binders horizontally/flat so that the pages don't sag, or vertically so that the pages aren't flattened. Thanks in advance!

I got a Japanese pokemon pikachu team skull grunt box from pokemon center online and it came with one of those little boxes, card dividers, and sleeves. I dont have a very big collection of rare cards, maybe 15, so it's perfect for keeping those in.
Great video. I've been collecting various cards since original Base set (sadly all my old stuff is all gone) and am very familiar with most of these. I've never seen those smaller penny sleeves and I would actually be a little worried about damaging edges/corners trying to fit the cards into them. Most of my rare Pokemon cards are in Ultra Pro penny sleeves+top loaders.
I thought the exact same thing until I tried them, I've been using those perfect fit sleeves for 2 years now and none of my cards have been damaged or bent
I gotta get me some of those top loaders. I bought my first 5 pokemon packs ever a few hours ago and the second one had a Umbreon V alternate art and I feel like if I look at it wrong I'll ruin it.
Is it ok to put cards in ultra pro penny sleeves & then into binder sheets? Or do I need to put them into deck protector sleeves before I place them in binder sheets?
i usually just put mine in the binder sheets without anything but if you want to be extra protective you can put them in the ultra pro penny sleeves and then the binder sheet
oh and one other thing, you wouldnt be able to put deck protectors in because they are too big, they’re meant to protect an entire deck not just a card or two
Okay I know elite trainer boxes seem to be good for storing your normal cards but the cards can be crazily messed up while in there if not having any top loaders or sleeves
Wow the game has changed since I was a kid... Thank you, there is so much out to protect and organize my cards, I didn't even know was a thing these days. I'm so out of touch now lol
As fa as I personally go, I'm a bit more lax about storing my cards. Yes, I do have a binder for them, but I just put them directly in there, because the binder pockets protect the cards just fine, and when I pull them out, I like holding the actual cards themselves. I only really sleeve important cards that I keep outside the binder, and only use toploaders for special cards that wouldn't fit among my binder cards. I then use my many tins to store my bulk cards so I don't have them all scattered around.
Normally in card sections near the front of the store, but it varies from Walmart to Walmart. The products Leon mentioned are actually very common, but I have found that some Walmart and Target stores actually don't carry them.
I love in Florida, where there is a lot of humidity, if anybody else lives in this kind of atmosphere... Use the methods Leonhart showed us, and put your cards in ziplocks bags, to prevent warping. My personal preferences are dragon shield perfect fit inner sleeves the ones that completely seal. For holos or my actual deck for playing. And dragon shield matte sleeves for double sleeveing. For displaying purposes there are a couple like hard cases I have I believe they are ultra pro hard cases that have a magnet up top to seal them great thick hard case to put on a display stand and easily swappable if desired. There are also hard cases that screw shut but I would say make sure you find ones that have a indent for your cards to sit in and arnt just 2 slabs of acrylic that squish your card in between them. I mostly use binders for if I'm collecting complete sets or if I have a special selection of cards I want together of in have extra of and arent with their respective sets like I have a binder of just extra full art trainers that I collect and a binder just for promo cards. Outside of that cant go wrong with big bcw collector boxes to store your cards in they hold up great and are made for storing cards.
Hello Leonhart, thanks for the great video. I don't know if you can help me with this question. I am starting collecting pokemon and dragon ball cards and also figures and I think I am over spending on them. Everytime a new product arrives and I like it then I purchased it. Do you think this is a good investment or should I buy only limited edition products or what is the limit for collectors? I don't have a lot of money so I don't know if what I am doing is worth to invest my money or if I should stop doing it. Thanks for your help and thanks for your awesome videos.
From my perspective of view, you should only get pokemon cards because the dragon Ball cards ain't worth and are not having a reputation in collectors society so you should get all the pokemon cards as they can price up to $5000 so yeah just my opinion 😊
Head over to amazon and paste this in. What is your opinion on three-ring binders? Too much risk of damage by closing it wrong? Also what about getting a binder with a zipper so it can be "sealed off" from dust?
Just single sleeving them up is fine, but I would strongly recommend getting some Dragon Shield or trying out some other similar brands like Eclipse, the pokemone branded sleeves are fine for a trade binder, but NOT for any actual wear and tear playing. They are very prone to wrinkling and crackling and yuckkkk 🤢.
Very informative video! However you didn’t mention where we can purchase those sleeve protectors with the adhesive flap for the booster packs/Graded cards.
Just a heads up, top loaders are made from PVC and are not considered "acid free". Always use a sleeve with them. Another note: polypropylene is not made with PVC and all sleeves made from polypropylene are safe for storage. According to KMC website, acid free is just a term that, while having nothing to do with the manufacturing of polypropylene, is usually used in advertising to make people feel better
Awesome video! Ive been trying to find some other ways to store cards and packs besides the pokemon sleeves from the elite box and binders with removable pages but that pokeball binder seems super sturdy and reasonably priced also now that i know psa sleeves work for packs im so happy.
I wouldn't recommend using a smaller penny sleeve as it may damage the edges of the cards and you will have a higher chance of damaging it getting it back out.
*Hope you enjoyed these tips & advice on how to protect your cards!*

My sleeves are sticking out the binder do you think that will cause the cards to bend
Very informative video! However you didn’t mention where we can purchase those sleeve protectors with the adhesive flap for the booster packs/Graded cards.
Google
He litteraly said local stores such as Walmart and Target or amazon
Just a heads up, top loaders are made from PVC and are not considered "acid free". Always use a sleeve with them. Another note: polypropylene is not made with PVC and all sleeves made from polypropylene are safe for storage. According to KMC website, acid free is just a term that, while having nothing to do with the manufacturing of polypropylene, is usually used in advertising to make people feel better
Arkero G magnetic Card Holder are also a great way to keep Cards safe :)
“I’ll take that box and put it inside another box, and then I’ll smash it with a hammer! It’s brilliant brilliant, I tell ya. Genius I say!”
I use little plastic envelopes that are pretty sturdy and i can close them
I Love you Leonhart😁❤️❤️

I like how he used weedle to get protected ;)
😲
🍆
I’m here super late 😔 but I wanted to know, should I sleeve all the cards I put into my binder? Or only sleeve the decent and good cards?
Ya I just grabbed my binder from when i was a kid and didn’t put deck protector so they all moves around and there corners are bent and killed
so ya
I have the evolution folder I got it today on Friday because I already so it's here and and I'm putting my Pokémon cards in it right now
Awesome video! Ive been trying to find some other ways to store cards and packs besides the pokemon sleeves from the elite box and binders with removable pages but that pokeball binder seems super sturdy and reasonably priced also now that i know psa sleeves work for packs im so happy.
Leonhart! Where do you get the sealed penny sleeves for the PSA cards?? Thanks!
I wouldn't recommend using a smaller penny sleeve as it may damage the edges of the cards and you will have a higher chance of damaging it getting it back out.
Dude you're the ultimate collector
