Usually when I put my cards in a top loader. I just gently bang the bottom of the top loader and the card will go in more without having to push the top of the card.
When it comes to sleeves, Dragon Shield's Sealable Sleeves are the objectively best choice. The sleeves get sealed so no dirt and dust gets in, which means that there's no need to double sleeve. And even if you do double sleeve, there's no longer any change of dust and dirt getting inside the inner sleeve, as it's completely sealed. Also, since you don't need to double sleeve, there is less plastic blurring the artwork while the cards are in a binder. All in all, the absolutely best choice.
Does that work by simply using a standard penny sleeve (little wider)? Or would you still insist on using a perfect fit sleeve - and then putting that in the sealable sleeve?
These tips from adults is objectively pathetic. The industrial revolution has had dire consequences for the Human race. May God have mercy on your souls.
You can also use silica gel to prevent humidity from warping your cards. Put a small silica gel packet in your binder or deck boxes and it’ll help keep them from warping
I double sleeved my good cards. Perfect fit sleeve upside down first, then regular sleeve. That way you have complete seal. Then I put the double sleeved cards in to binders.
Instead of pushing the card into the hard back top loader with your fingers to stop any bending or damage you should tap it of a hard surface and the card drops in perfectly 😊👍🏻
Pokemon cards are exactly the best in the world 🌍 and why I like Pokemon cards is ex and gx and v and seacrit rares and the best part of Pokemon cards are the awesome feeling that you get when you open a booster box or a booster packs
I can guarantee you that the binders in this video are 100% the best binders for storing pokemon cards. Bought one a year back and ended up converting my entire collection over to them and still using them. Got various different sizes all equally great sitting on 13 Vault X binders currently.
For the top loader card sleeves you can tap your fore arm against each other with the sleeve in one hand. That way you can get your card in or out without worry of damage. I like the video! Thanks.
Question: WHICH IS BETTER? 1 - Penny sleeve + toploader and stack in Elite trainer box 2 - Pro fit sleeve + Thicker Ultra Pro Sleeve and put in this binder Help would be great :D
Thank you so much for the information, this is what I was looking for. I came back to collecting after 9 years when Black and white base set were released. I was a kid and I didn't know about this :D
So I've recently gotten into collecting and preserving some of my older pokémon cards using KMC Perfect Fits before putting them into sleeves that comes with the elite trainer boxes before finally putting them in a binder. Now a few months later when checking a few of them I've noticed some vertical ribbed patterns on the outer sleeves. Is this normal behavior of sleeves? If so, is it the KMC or Elite trainer boxes' that is the culprit and most important - will it somehow damage the cards? All help is highly appreciated :c
@@JerBearLuvsYou Did a bit of testing and it seems like it's the ETB-sleeves that, for some reason, starts to rib themselves. One of my neighbours would write their name on their card with crayon. I asked them why and they said so nobody could take it from them. I'm happy they didn't get any rare/good cards tbh.
Nice video. Dex zipper binders are great too and they also have the Dex 12 option that fits 12 cards to the page. I always use penny sleeves because they are deeper than premium sleeves. Some of the premium sleeves are very short and the cards want to pop out of the top. Penny sleeves are also very soft and are less likely to cause scratches. The drawback to penny sleeves is that they offer less protection while sliding the card into the side-loading pocket, so you have to be extra careful to not put too much pressure on the side of the card while adjusting it.
Randolph with the standard top loader you can slide the card in and then tap the bottom of the top loader on the desk and the card will slide down further into the top loader

I’ve nearly ran out of colors in each (each binder is unique to distinguish between them) so I ordered a Top Deck 500 that is setup the exact same but holds 500 cards. My base set will likely get transferred to it along with Jungle, Fossil, and Team Rocket. Anyways, just wanted to drop and say, the Vault X is great, yes, but there are slightly better binders and binders that are just as good but different in one way or another.

I thought everyone did that. I'm using a ring binder though...heard before not to use one but the reason was due to people closing them without putting the pages back correctly, leaving cards sitting on top of the rings...
I have a question. My house temp is always regulated at about °70. I don't believe i have a humidity problem. The binder is actually really good, if vault X can do some that store 480 cards with a zip that would be great I only use penny sleeves when selling, my personal ones are in perfect fit sleeves then coloured ultra pro sleeves (black looks best)
Somebody wrote in a review of the binder, that the cards that are in the row closest to the inside will bend a little bit overtime. Have you noticed that too? Could you check? Thanks!
What I do is take two sleves a penny sleeve and load it upside down then take a rigid top loader and stick it in right side side up. It protects it from top and bottom for dust when moving cards. Also the ultra pros are better as they prevent shifting the less room around the card the safer the card from edge whitness.

Hey guys I need help, I've got a folder full of vintage pokemon cards but I just moved to Mexico were the weather is tropical, it's hot and humid, what do you guys recommend I do so they won't get ruined? Thanks guys
I am just adding this a public service. Putting tape across the top of a top loader that has a card inside of it that is in a penny sleep is not the worst thing you can do. In fact, shipping cards in top loaders (without tape) will often result in the cards protruding out the top of the top loader by the time they arrive at their destination. I can't tell you how many cards that I have ordered that have arrived this way and were damaged. Putting tape across the top of the top loader prevents the card from getting close to the top of it. You can simply cut the tape and pull the card out by the penny sleeve once you need to remove it from the top loader. I would not recommend using tape on the top loader if you aren't using a penny sleeve on the card.

how do you stop cards bowing, i had a xy base set i checked it after years now all cards have a curve to it is there a way to fix it or anything or what causes this? dampness? it wasnt in a ring binder either like a official looking xy artwork on it
Heat, humidity and oxygen can all cause cards to bend. I find that the more exposed they are the more they bend, if you leave a new holographic card out on the table for an hour when you come back it's going to be in a U shape. You need to put them in penny sleeves as soon as they are pulled and then straight into your binder. If yours are still curving in the binder it means they're still too exposed, you could try getting the zip up binder he recommended or finding a better way to store them like in a box or something.
I thought you were showing everyone a bad way of putting cards into top loaders - but then when you didn't show that all you have to do is gently tap the top loader on the table to make it fall down I died a little inside.

@@argo6619 dang. Ye i wish i bought more evolution, flashfire and generatiom. Wish i knew bout shining too and all else
@@argo6619 I feel you pain. I had pretty much a full set first edition in a pokedex binder when I was a kid and my mom threw it out and I quote "grow up this pokemon fad will last for a couple of months and all these cards will be worthless" to this day ill show her prices of cards I had and make her realize how stupid she was for doing that lol
how do you stop cards bowing, i had a xy base set i checked it after years now all cards have a curve to it is there a way to fix it or anything or what causes this? dampness? it wasnt in a ring binder either like a official looking xy artwork on it
Heat, humidity and oxygen can all cause cards to bend.
Hey randolph, i want that pokebinder but the site does not offer schipping to the netherlands.. can you fix that?
you actually can just put the card in the penny slleeves upsaidse down then put in the album
Maybe sb can help me. I have the ultra pro sleeves which are not perfect fit. Do they still fit in the vaultx binder or do i need perfect fit sleeves?
I thought you were showing everyone a bad way of putting cards into top loaders - but then when you didn't show that all you have to do is gently tap the top loader on the table to make it fall down I died a little inside.
Would double sleeving cards be ok to store in a binder? One with perfect fit sleeve and sleeve?
Yeah that's what I do with some of my cards.
legend video mate i have had my cards in a cheap folder for years terrified to get them out do you recommend the binder and sleeves for Permanent STORAGE of my cards then Mabey put the binder in a tin ? I want easy storage that will last me out but still be able to look at them once in a while
anyone know how many pages that binder has? i like to keep a "pokedex binder" so i would need at least 10 pages i think
It doesn't protect the cards from getting robbed, but storing them is really good.
Question should I put rare cards in a top loader or in penny sleeves and put in a side sleeve binder Question 2: Is there a binder that keeps cards in top loaders?
Know if those binders bend the cards and stuff?
Sleeve + Tab + Toploader = Perfect
What about the fact that the toploader and sleeve are both open at the top ?
You probably won’t see this cause it’s an old video but I’m a new collector and I’ve started collecting the Pokémon hidden fates cards but I’m not sure which order you’re supposed to put them in whilst in a binder.
Great, informative video btw :)
Same I just got into collecting a couple days ago but I'm going with the vivid voltage collection just spent 300 bucks on pre orders I also would like to know how to set them up in the book
By number on the bottom
Arrange how you like or just follow the card number on the bottom
Personally I only collect holographics and I arrange them however I like, it's more fun that way I think but you can google the set name and go to bulbapedia, they show the cards in set order.
I arrange mine by the order of the sets!
You know most people lightly tap the top loader on a table to get the card down you don't have to pull it apart and push on the top geez
tyler sands yeah I do that
I put my penny sleeves on so the open part is at the bottom of the card and then put them in a normal top load style binder so all sides are sealed
