    First of all thank you for posting this video....
    At starting I thought U running 800m then according to time I thought no now u r running 1k then , 1600m nd now I think u ran 2k ?? 😄 ??
    And seeing this video motivated me so much that in between only i started swinging my hands like u ..
    U r just great and this time u posted this video after so long time so please its a request ..... Post any of ur practice video in a week becoz me and my friends wait for u sir .....as u r so motivational to us !

    How does the lab result compare with what your garmin estimates for Vo2 max ? :)

      Lab results are the most accurate. One study has shown that garmin error was less than 3.5 ml/kg/min. But it all depends on how accurate your heart rate monitor is, so it would be better to use chest strap to get more accurate results.

    What kind of protocol did Olav use? I'm an exercise physiologist and I would perhaps use a constant speed test and increase gradient 1% every minute or a multi-stage test increasing speed every 3' by 1 Km/h, starting at 14 Km/h for you.

    Was there no spit tube? It looks like there wasn't which can significantly skew the data, but it's also gross.

    What does it mean that you tested 90.1 on the bike and 87 on the run? Is it as simple as your body can use more oxygen on the bike than the run?

      Correct. And this depends on how you are activating and using different muscles groups as well. But 87 and 90 is pretty close to each other.

      Been in 80-high a few times on the run. But done 90 something 3x on the bike last 12 months

      That's impressive Kristian, I'm glad to see your performance, congratulations. Keep going and I'm cheering for you, absolutely!
      I have a question, did you compare your absolute and relative VO2m with LTH (lactate threshold) in theses years training hard? And how was the relationship between them? And of course the cost-benefit ration between them?
      I ask you this 'cause I couldn't find these level of information in the literature, and I'm have a lot of questions about this.

      Triathlete. Imo he doesn't have the build for 10km or 5km Olympic records (extra mass)
      Could get the UK Park Run world record tho' 👌🏃‍♂️

      @@OmniaAYR All I know is the Park Run record is 13:48 and this dude ran a 13:51 not so long ago.
      So if he picked one of the fastest Park Run courses in the UK, trained and prepped for it - he could.
      I was merely thinking of a record he could beat.

    Congrats, huge! Question on the Alphafly. If you could choose to have them allowed or disallowed for everybody, what would you choose? Got Next%, love how they feel but still somehow wish carbon plate shoes wouldn't exist ;)

      Kudos to Nike for stepping up the game when it comes to running shoes. I reckon it should be rules/ limitations regarding size etc, but carbon has been on the market for years ! It’s just Nike who managed to step up the game.

      I didn’t feel the same boost when I vent from next to Alphafly as I got from 4% to next. But they are still great, and maybe even faster

    Remember folks Vo2 Max is like IQ---means little w/o implementation & utilization
    Running economy is more important in alot of ways!

      You can really see the difference in running style of Kipchoge. Kipchoge is about efficiency, running economy, fluidity, rather than maximum effort. For long distance, it is not Vo2 max, it is the economy.

    87 is very high Seb Coe was 82 and ran world records
    Having a high number like that means u can even afford to put on weight

      could be. it's could be a side effect of to much training and a lot of caffein. Or just genetics maybe.

      @@AlgebraG FYI I have same Garmin Vo2max and half marathon time was 1:13:40 beginning this year.
      Also had my Vo2Max tested around the same time, and result was coincidentally exactly 65 ml/kg/min as well. LT 17.4km/h (3:27/km).

      Not sure Garmin is accurate for vo2 max mainly bases it on RHR with to start with. You got a chest strap for workouts?
      My watch gives me a 53 reading I feel I'm a lot lower than that personally.
