Asus really need to make better in the quality. When you tell about the flex in the lid, I can tell you .. don't buy it. I baught an Asus ROG Strix some years back and the quality simply isn't good enough. If there is flex in the lid, there is also flex in the top / keyboard / touchpad which means it will trigger keys or touchpad if you lean your hand just slightly on the top while typing. I specificly went for a top i7 for the perf and good fate in Asus Quality, and was utter disapointed. You really have to check this out in a store before buying Asus ROG. You think this is their top tier models, but they make some major blunders on some models. I havn't seen this model in stores so can't say if it's good or bad, but if you want to pay premium money for a premium top product, please do proper research before buying, or you may regret your investment down the road. Do check if the top around the keyboard and touch pad seem to be flexing when put some presure on it. If it do stay away from it.

what do you mean it's not an "actual IPS panel" at 6:19? It says 300Hz IPS FHD Display on the amazon listing.

guys I have this laptop but i use it for my architecture softwares.
i have been facing an issue where the screen suddenly turns off but the keyboard is on. I have to turn it off then restart it for it to open again and the work is deleted.

I've been using my Asus ROG G12 for 2 years already, made some upgrades like adding more RAM and SSD. This made me want to buy new one even though my current laptop is still working fine.
Maybe 1 more year, and I'll upgrade to another G series of ROG. As always, this brand and series never disappoints me. Hoping that itll come with 480Hz next year. 😁

Just so everyone knows, you can upgrade to 64gbs of Ram. I did that and added a 2TB SSD. If you do, this laptop will smoke most laptops over $2500 and many over $3000 if you add a good cooling pad. It's quiet and extremely powerful.
But mine can only up to 32gbs ram... Why yours can up to 64 🥺

I just got this laptop (Intel ver). I like it, but can't get my oculus quest 2 to work with it yet.
I got it working well now. Had to change some script for virtual desktop to work. That failed after a few weeks, but can still use it.

I just wish laptop manufacturers would put 3 rd hinge in the middle. so there is not so much pressure constant opening and closing. Afraid with only two hinges one could snap off or break.

I own this laptop but only one issue I faced is if I let it sleep for long time or some time even if I open blue stacks the laptop stops working literally I have to force shutdown now it has been an habit so I don’t put it to sleep and also bluestack suddenly some time consume 100% memory due to which even cursor won’t move 😅 again force shutdown

So it uses 16GB of ddr5, but ASUS never stress tested to its actual max capacity.
I have this model, and some older models were able to use 64 GBs ddr4,but asus never tested it, so their "recommendation" is to use their max capacity at 32 GB ddr5 for 2022 edition.

Guys I’m going to buy this laptop on amazon but I have to ask do y’all recommend this laptop for everyday college use of just note taking and well as writing essays while also providing the casual gaming experience. after doing so many researchs of gaming laptops, this is the best gaming laptop for gamers. THIS IS HOW GAMING LAPTOP DONE RIGHT. next year nvidia and amd will release new gen gpus for gaming laptop which the rumored performances already leaked by strong sources which also provided extremely close to that of nvidia new gen desktop gpus rtx 4090 performances leaks for months before it got released. its said the next gen gaming laptop gpus next year whether its from nvidia rtx 4000 or amd rx 7000, the perfomances of both will be equal to that of desktop rtx 3090 and rx 7950xt ! thats insane. 2k 120 fps on gaming laptop next year will finally be possible and more importantly 1080p 180 fps max settings for demanding competitive games like division and division 2 will finally be possible as well. just worried about the price though....480 hz gaming monitors or laptop screens still in developement but its been for a while now since last 2 years, and developement for ddr6 ram just started around 2 months ago. nvidia rtx desktop TI version also in development last week. crazy how tech progressing, so fast.

@@jadador800 hey!! It's F**** AMAZING!!! its sooo frickin fast, loading screens are like 5 seconds (they used to be 6 minutes) and its just a bomb. I plan to post a video this week showing how fast it is in game. Totally recommend it!! Better than that Acer Nitro 5 😂😂 I got the 32Ram by the way because of Sims taking too much space
