Another Canadian classic. The car they're driving so reminds me of my '64 Pontiac Parisienne ragtop and all the cruising I did in it while listening to the great sounds of the 60s-80s. "And we won't be back til the money's all gone!" Sounds like a lot of the roadtrips my buds and I took before this song even hit the airwaves. Songs of the 60s thru the 80s are what's keeping me young.

Later that year I went on holiday to the US for the first time and on my second day I went to a record store and bought the Electric Honey album on cassette. This song is part of a VERY Happy Coincidence:
In 1986, I started a new job that required a lot of travel, though pretty much all within the State of Indiana. One of the first assignments I received was in Tell City, ~halfway between Louisville, Kentucky and Evansville, Indiana. This song was on the radio a lot at the time. From the first time I heard it, I LOVED this song. Thus, while driving, I sang it along, many times. Thankfully, no one was ever in the car with me. LOL
I had been long-term unemployed and was just SO Happy to be working again. This was my fourth job, but it was the first that I thought I could make a Career out of. Unfortunately, certain "things" happened and I wound up leaving (voluntarily). I had a Good Run, ~six years, second longest time I stayed anywhere. And this song reminds me of one of the best assignments during one of my favorite jobs in my ten-job career.
Thank you for a GREAT Song, Gentlemen!

Great song , I bought the 45 single during the summer of 1986 after highschool graduation. Wow, the world

The hair was as big as the music in the '80s.
Finally, today the hair is coming back. I'm rocking the mullet and I see so many other guys rocking it now, too.

termitesc, I've got another very good Canadian band for you who are unknown but have two great songs. The band is Wrabit. Their songs
to look for are: 1) Say Lady Say - (Great ballad with an awesome guitar solo in the middle!) 2) Anyway Anytime - (Wicked rocker!) Enjoy!

@@indianathiessen I listen to a lot of AOR in general so I'm familiar with them. I went through a period in my life a few years back where I'd listen to Canadian classic hits stations online to see what I was missing out on as an American. Really introduced me to some underrated artists like Platinum Blonde, Tragically Hip and Sass Jordan.

@@termitesc.aardwolf3644 Cool. The Hip have always been huge in Canada. Streetheart was a great rock band that Americans missed out on unfortunately. Platinum Blonde is always on radio up here
