I have a specific question for you: Does your OP suffer from resetting its date and time when not connected to your phone?
I'm not the only one with this issue but the number of issue reports imply that not all Osmo Pockets are effected...

I love the image quality of the OP but have found this issue to be very inconvenient when trying to organise and sync clips with external audio sources.
Have you noticed the same behaviour when the OP is not connected to your phone?
I wish there was a way to use the FreeWell wide angle adapter - along with ND Filters.

I purchased one in December with a good holiday discount. It has been a fun little camera to use, like you mention it starts up quickly and it's ready to shoot. Great complement for my main camera and celular phone.
This is my favorite camera at the moment. It provides awesome quality of videos with such a small size. I have iPhone 11 and FeiyuTech Vlog Pocket but I realize that in 95% of cases I don't want to carry this setup with me. But DJI OSMO Pocket is always in my pocket.
The most important things you should know about:
1) use D-Cinelike profile. It requires color grading but it is worth using.
The problem is that the Normal profile blows out highlights a lot. If you use expo correction it won't solve the problem because ultimately you will have too dark low light parts of your video. When I bought OSMO Pocket in 2019 I was frustrated of blown out sky and clouds because I got used to iPhone's Smart HDR. But than I started using D-Cinelike profile and correct videos a bit in FinalCut Pro and they look awesome.
2) do buy a controller wheel. You won't regret the money spent. Personally I like to move camera vertically in the Tilt locked mode.
3) buy a cheap tripod mount. I love shooting motion lapses using the tripod.

What a great video you make, very interesting and useful for a lot of people. I have both the g9 and Osmo Pocket, sometimes I think The footage from Osmo looks even better than some of my clips from g9 maybe because of my shaky hands.

Have to agree. I use my “pocket” now more than any other camera. Love to control with wifi adapter.. move it around a room and gather video from many perspectives or put it in nature and let animals get used to it then shoot. Motion lapse is amazing for sunsets etc.
Often combine with Anafi Drone vidéo for broad spectrum story. Many accessories just make it more and more useful.

well, xiaomi did and made an $199 equivalent. I will probably go for the osmo if I want to invest but xiaomi's is a good deal
Doge Gaming if you have a good sd card then you could record for a really long time at least 4 hours

Really informative video. I have a question though: I have discovered that the fine and superfine mode in video have the same bitrare. What I need, is a way to lower the bitrate (in-camera) in some circumstances. Is there any script or setting that could help?

Very good review. I'm Australian and often I find accents quite difficult to understand however you speak clearly, explain really well and don't use too many complicated words to explain your thoughts which is great. A terrific review of a really good camera. I've had mine for three months and I love it, my GoPro hates it. It's the one I reach for and the GoPro gets used when the Osmo is flat. or charging.

Had mine a month and once you get a few accessories it is excellent, use it alongside my Canon M6 with 22mm lens for travel, will be perfect set up for motorcycle touring. Intend buying a Osmo Action for onboard footage.

Hi when I use this with a backpack mount, the camera is looking at 45 degree side and up. Is there a way to fix this so that the camera is looking at forward?

Finally, a good stabilized video device better than camcorders. For anyone who films in not perfect light, this is a godsend. No video camera can do it without a gimbal no matter how good the electronic stabilization is. I have been avoiding the Pocket because of all the GoPro updates and mirrorless cameras, but none of those are covenient to use in mixed lighting. This is almost the holy grail of travel video cameras. One thing nobody mentions is the weight or lack of it. Try to clip a GoPro to your shirt or even have it in your jacket pocket.
Can you tell me what your Osmo Pocket settings are for daytime and nighttime shooting? Also, do you prefer .mp4 or .mov when recording.
Great cam, always in my pocket. Lack of mount hole, replace for accu and 360 sphere mode.

I don't think that a new one will be coming out anytime soon. 1 year is very short turnover cycle for such product, especially when it was basically completed only 3 months ago via FW update.

Hiya....excellent video ...in the osmopocket I know you can do a photo timelapse from point a to
point b, all setup within the camera. Is it possible to do similar but shoot
video? i.e. select point a and point b, a time duration from a to b, then shoot
regular 4k video instead of a series of photos?

As I like to pack very light when I am traveling, I prefer to use cameras and equipment that are very portable and this would work beautifully. I wonder if there will be a new version of Osmo Pocket anytime soon. I don’t *need* one but I want one! I wouldn’t mind paying a little more for an updated version that has a rechargeable battery and integrates a few of the accessories. I also wonder how it would be if it were 25-50% larger. Makes sense. It looks like it can do anything I could want it to do with enough accessories. I have a Sony a6500 and it’s great but I would get way more footage with an Osmo Pocket because it’s so easy and convenient.

My only negatives are that there should be a joystick accessory along with the scroll wheel and the wireless and audio adapters should work together at the same time.
