    Brittnee I just wanted to say that I cut my hair I believe it was for my birthday it was some special occasion and I took risk and cut it.
    I wanted to say thank you to you because I got a lot of attention for it however I lost your video.
    I learned how to work TH-cam now so I found it today just a few minutes ago actually. Thank you so much when I get my haircut at the hairdresser either nobody notices it or they didn’t like it.

    After watching your video several times, I tried this tonight. I just wanted to take a little bit off (I like the length but haven’t got it cut in a while so the ends were looking scraggly), and it turned out great!
    The only small refinement I did to your technique was put a few elastics down the length (like double ponytails) of each side because my hair is thick and without them the hair wasn’t laying smoothly together. Worked like a charm!
    Thank you for empowering me and saving me money and hassle 👍😊

    Brittnee!! Thank you so much for sharing these videos!! I know you from tik tok, I was so excited when I searched for diy haircut and your face was one of the first to pop up. My hair was so dead and I HATE going to the salon, I only do maybe once a year and I will just dye it myself but I never tried cutting it. I finally decided to try it for myself and your videos gave me that confidence. By far the best and easiest to follow tutorials that I watched. I just did my first trim and long layer and took a little weight out of the corners and it came out great! So much better than I would have imagined and I was so impressed with myself. I must have resectioned my hair 10 times but I was going to make sure I did it slow and as accurately as possible. I did minorly cut my finger once because I have no spatial awareness lol. Now I have the tools and confidence I need to continue cutting my own hair and know that I won’t totally mess up. It’s just hair after all and I had a lot of fun. I want to try more framing layers and maybe bangs in the future and I know with your help it is possible. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise in a simple, concise and non judge mental way. You’re so sweet and funny. Love you!!

    I just used this video and the one cutting layers on the top while leaving the side and back length... I love the blunt even straight cut on my ends!!! Never in the future will I go get that done at a Salon... I have done it twice now with the same perfect straight lines. First time doing cutting the top only layers. My extremely thin hair was all one length down to the top of my butt... I decided to cut wet. Length wise I went to my belly button to make the cut. Its perfect... the top of the head layers; well... that one I felt it best to cut half way between my chin and my breast. The middle of my chest basically... I am really glad I did not cut just below my chin... which I was considering... your words to go longer and cut again later was the deciding factor to go longer... I am totally glad I did... totally glad you strongly suggested to go longer instead of shorter, especially if the hair was wet... with the length being down to my waist, the top layer cut actually looks good. I would not have been happy had I gone shorter on the top... My hair now frames the face, I added whispy curtain bangs and I look and feel like a new woman! More 2023 versus 2000. I have been wearing my hair straight, one length and long for decades! There is bounce, lift, swing and the way it naturally falls is truly pretty... it looks fab and healthy... I have so many ways I can now style the hair. I detangled, then finger combed, scrunched, let air dry. The results amazing! Looking forward to curling it tomorrow to see what that looks like... Bonus, I feel it is going to look just as good as it grows out. I am so glad I did not do the unicorn cut with the 2 pony tails... I would have hated it!!!! This technique was exactly what I was looking for! It does not lie flat, does not looked chopped, does not have the v or u in the back... and it does not look thinner. It looks fuller... I watched literally hours of diy unicorn, bangs, face framing and wolf cut videos of women who had long thin hair... Yours is the only one that teaches this diy style of cuts! Your directions clear and easy to follow!!! Thank you so much!!!

    I've a burning question that I hope you, Brittnee--or anyone else with experience--can answer. Can this haircutting technique be used with a side part? (I'm guessing so, as long as you still part the backside of the hair down the middle; still, it's better safe to ask that be sorry.)

    Does it also work with thick hair?

    • @BrittneeAlexus
      @BrittneeAlexus  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      yes, you may have to divide it into several smaller sections but you will cut it the same way on each subsection

    I have fine hair too. I feel your pain lol. "waiting for hair to grow taking years and years " lol. fine hair struggles. How do you do that angled cutting technique that glides along the side bangs or side framing bits without cutting too deep. ? but doesnt feather just blends in softly

    So, I did this today thinking it would be relatively’easy’. But it’s an absolute mess. I do have very fine hair just a whole lot of it. No Idea what went wrong but it’s very uneven in length . Not overall but in the sections, making the longer parts turn outside weirdly. Good thing I didn’t take of al lot. Oh wait, I did. 😱 Can I please get some advice on how to fix it. Because the salons will be closed until at least the summer over here. The side swept bangs turned out pretty great! 😃👍

    • @BrittneeAlexus
      @BrittneeAlexus  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Everything can be fixed, so give yourself some grace! Try taking small sections straight down and point cutting them matching the lengths- to make it totally even you will have to find the part of your hair where the length is the shortest and match it to that (think of connecting the dots in a straight line) essentially you'll just be trying to make everything one solid length- if none of this makes sense- send me a picture to my email in the description box and ill see if I can explain it better !
