6:13 the point of that button is to keep you from injured while pulling the 5th wheel release bar. You’re supposed to unhook air lines, lower landing gear, and then head back to the truck, push that button, lower air bags, and then move out from under the trailer.
Future reference when using the interior king pin release you still have to back into the trailer to release the pressure. That button inside just keeps you from having to bend down and pull the handle.. Also new and old trailer doesn't mean jack running Target Dedicated..
Watching you back that in made ME nervous. How you put that in the spot bang on was impressive. Hazards confuse drivers though. From one side it looks like a turn signal.
Best advice I can give as someone who started with Swift 3.5yrs ago and moved on. Get your year of experience and then head out. I started at .38cpm and now I make .68cpm and I get paid for every single mile, all detention hours, and stop pay. I alsp dont deal with all the safety bs in the trucks. Ps: that looks like the Target DC in Ohio.

People have just realised megacarriers dont pay and dont care about you so they move on to a company with a faster truck, better pay, more miles, etc.... And then all the huge companies doing 50% of all frieght no longer have drivers to pickup and deliver freight.

I now work 1099 and I get consistent checks of $1,500 to $2,500 a week. Do your own taxes and I will still come out way ahead of what a Swift driver makes. My bad week on hometime was still $680. I get $200 for every day Im broken down, $20 an hour for detention, and $50 for any extra stops. This week was $1,750 for 2,250 miles. Even with taxes thats $1,400 in my pocket.

I’m solo. Depending on the state you are in it might be Teams. If you in ohio I highly recommend you to check out the Target account out in West Jefferson Ohio. It’s drop and hook 1 stop. Super easy

One trucker from swift quit entirely from swift, another swift tuber talking about pay. another one talking a bout horrible dispatching man. Swift transportation might as well have their swift tv channel, were they can shout out their drivers.

The target distribution center in tangent Oregon won't let drivers back. Only the yard goats are able to back up the trailers
