In this video, we deep dive into #BloomsTaxonomy, which is a classification of learning objectives. We'll look at what the different levels of the taxonomy mean for you as a learner, and how you can use it to create more effective learning experiences.
Bloom's Taxonomy is a hierarchy of #learning objectives that helps educators plan instruction. It ranges from the retention of simple knowledge to the most complex cognitive skills, such as critical thinking and problem solving.
What are some misconceptions about it? Why should you care about #activerecall? What are some good examples of each level on the taxonomy?

This is very intresting, My way of using Bloom's taxonomy as a student is to create questions based on the levels of taxonomy as the exams are designed in such a way that they test you based on these levels of hierarchy

Always loved the idea of bloom's taxonomy in learning a topic more deeply! Just curious though because most people say to immediately jump to a higher layer in the pyramid rather than start off by memorizing "lower level" facts. However, sometimes especially in mediicne you can't move onto the next level until you have a foundational understanding of these "lower level" facts.
Are you suggesting we bypass that first layer as well or would you say that Bloom's Taxonomy is more of a tool to guide/progress our learning as we get comfortable with each layer?

There is no requirement for one to go up the taxonomy by each level. For lower level biology as foundation as medicine can also be learned at a higher level regardless if it feels like a simple regurgitation based subject. For example, you could learn how to think like your teachers who are experts at this level of knowledge. You could use many methods such as trying to teach the subject to imaginary people as best and interconnectedly as possible ect.
