Getting schooled or not sparring is meant to be like this. Its growth for a boxer. How are you gonna be the best if you keep fighting your average Joe. To be the best you gotta go up against the best. If you get schooled that's growth it makes you better then you were the day before.

Besides, most the time, you're sparring boxers back to back to back. It could look like you're getting schooled but you do a few rounds of sparring against a boxer, then they throw in another fresh boxer after another. Never judge a sparring video because you never know what went on prior or how long he's been in there fighting non stop fighters.

Can’t even go by this . What if teo had a 2 hour high intensity training before light sparring … the only thing that matters is what happens on fight night not sparring .. sparring doesn’t count on your record

Sparrings are scheduled when you are in a deficit such as fatigue to emulate round 10 11 12. Also, sometimes you try to work on a weakness or a bad habit so the partner can expose it and the team can work on it.
That happens to fighters all the time. Getting into trouble in sparring is experience at the end of the day. Fighters have to get into trouble to be great. Lopez is still very young. He’s only 16-0. A lot to learn still
This could have been Teo 8-10th round of sparring and Key came in as a fresh body.

I Can't go base off of sparring I mean how many times has an opponent faced someone they actually spared and said remember sparring yeah you know lol..Than they lose the actual fight that's happened plenty of times. Sparring is sparring it's to challenge yourself to practice to get better and to work on adjustments in your game.
This happens in sports a lot.. They get too comfortable after winning they forget they still need to push harder cause someone is hungry to get to your spot

I'm not a Teofimo fan at all but I can honestly say , he wasn't switched on in that sparring session. Teofimo is a high energy type fighter with a lot of head movements. He wasn't even trying. Haney and Shakur would still kill him though

Go back and re watch the Loma fight and hear the introductions and what the fight was for. He beat Loma fair and square and no rematch was in the contract.
