This weightclass really needed someone like Kambosos to make things move.

135 gets too much hate Lopez fought Loma and Kambosas, Haney fought Linares and is now fighting, Ryan fought Campbell, Tanajara fought Zepeda, that was 2 undefeated prospects. They're actually mixing it up.

Dead weight class none of the top guys want to fight
One drawback in viciously insulting an opponent prior to the fight is that the opponent might become super-motivated not to get knocked out. Those powerful blows to the head that Teo landed would knocked out a less motivated fighter. Yet Kambo remained completely lucid and firing back.
Kambosos predicted the first round, saying, "I think I'll clip him early, If he comes out firing im going to catch him". And he did, incredible!
He has been sparring with Packman for years. So he knows the angles that Pac uses to catch opponents.

Such an epic win by George. So much heart to trade with someone like Teo early on when he was sharp and throwing bombs, then to come back in the championship rounds. 2 solid fights against Haney also. 🤜

exactly. all on his pops. I couldn't believe the pre fight nonsense the father was spewing at the last encounter, post weigh in, where the dad was telling the challenger that he would be going to sleep in the 1st round. Who does this ? Certainly no self respecting trainer would be the cause of his fighter to be supremely over confident, and when his confidence got shaken but an early knock down, he never actually recovered. His aggression was tamed and Kambosos took that as a queue to be looser and more willing to throw and counter. He had more pop than Lopez gave him credit for.
@@sandorebussolini its easy to say that in hindsight. that KO could of easily been forced out of lopez. supreme confidence is obviously key in accomplishing anything. and obviously lopez almost got the KO multiple times this fight. in hindsight you say its a bad strategy but you have no clue. if he came in cold he could of also just got outboxed for 12 rounds like he did the last. we dont know.

Was a underdog in the American/Hispanic eye, he was 13/1 favourite in the US amd more in other countries while here in Aus he was 5/1 because our bookees done their homework.

Every time I watch that, I can't help but throw my hands up and cheer! I've been a boxing fan for over 25 years. I was also born in Australia but grew up in the States. Greatest victory in Australian Boxing History!
Specially if u replay the moment of knockdown in slowmotion (0.25x speed) u can really enjoy the beauty of the technical setup that leads to the knockdown. I mean the way he uses Teos own hand ot camouflage his swinging devastating punch is amazing. Its a hard to master punch

Round 10 really showed the work done with Pacquiao. After being knocked down he had the same pace and spirit as Manny would, loved this fight. Kambosos deserved the win

The first-round knockdown was one of the most thrilling moments I've seen in quite some time. This victory by Kambosos was one of those rare but tremendously satisfying moments in boxing when the underdog comes through and thumps the loudmouth. Great performance by George; a truly famous victory for him.

Teo's big mistake was trying to get that first round KO. Kambosos came to fight 12 rounds not just one and in the end he had enough to win it on the cards. Amazing fight from both guys!

Teo threw all that power and Kambosos left the fight barely without a mark on his face while Teo's face looked like hamburger.
I think people are over critical of Teofimo’s performance in this fight. This fights wasn’t so lopsided as everyone tries to make it seem. The fight was razor close on one of the commentators score cards, and Lopez hit George with a lot of heavy right hands throughout the fight even dropping. If anything this fight proves that Kambosos should have been in the conversation all along.
It got close around 9/10th round but after that kambosos won pretty clear

What i loved about this was that it wasn't a boxing match, it was a fight
It's so refreshing to see rightful winners be called rather than the apparent A-side with all the belts and apparent large amounts of money. The rightful winner was Kambosos and it was nice to see that the judges ruled the same as what the audience saw. Same with the Usyk and AJ fight.

Teo fought too emotional, underestimated his opponent. Recklessly rushing in instead of smart aggression. Kambosos was very calm and collected, sharp timing and counters too.

Of course, you can tell by the interviews he was having he was sliding back and a big part of that is his father…..he got married and seemed to be getting level headed…..seemed to be getting more sober minded…..he was having issues with anxiety and depression…..but seemed to be doing ok…….extremely talented young fighter…..but his trainer puts unnecessary pressure and is too unstable

So glad that boxing corruption did not ruin this war. Don't remember the last time I saw a mandatory match be this entertaining .Teofimo could have vacated the belt but he took this match. He would have won if he didn't gas himself out in the starting rounds trying to be Mike Tyson. Kambosos defense was amazing as well.

After a few fights to get teofimo back on track I would like to see this fight again, great rivalry and storyline for boxing
Those explosive trades between the fighters were my favourite moments in the fight aside from the knockdowns. EVERY time Kambosos was hit or rocked, he fired back, and was gladly willing to trade. I’m such a huge fan of him now and would LOVE to see him against the other top lightweights

Kambosos showed the heart of a champion by getting up in the 10th and recovering. Went on to win the last 2 rounds in my opinion. He knew this was his only chance if he quit. Now he has the boxing worlds respect and shouldn't be taking lightly.
