    I installed( on my 2020 TB) the rough country 1.5 level kit specifically designed for the Trail Boss as soon a I purchased it in 2020, zero issues and run 295/18/18’s with no rubbing , but on stock wheels…. No issues with stock upper control arms as of yet with just over 24K miles

      I think RC makes upper control arms for their kit as well.

    I have a 2021 Silverado 1500 RST. I was told by everyone there was no kit for it (this was Jan 2021). BellTech Had a 6" full kit. It showed up and weighed in more than double the other similar kits. It's really heavy duty. It was advertised as one kit for 2wd and 4wd. I have 35x12.50s with zero rub

    You need some kryptonite upper control arms for the ball joint angle.

  • @michaelslagle599
    @michaelslagle599 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The zr2 has a factory lift, so putting leveling spacers on it puts to much strain on the ball joints. You have change the control arms.

    Great job, can't wait to get my ZR2. I did reach out to Peak Suspension and they plan on building parts specific to the ZR2 - I didn't specifically ask about a leveling kit as I was more interested in an AAL for overlanding but I'd assume they would eventually since they did for the Colorado ZR2

    Does a level kit void the warranty

    • @matt13ross
      @matt13ross  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on the dealer, they would have to notice it, and it would have to be the source of some kind of needed repair. For example, if the engine fails, the level kit isn't going to remove my engine warranty.

  • @keewatin427
    @keewatin427 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    All in all, with the new tires and levelling kit, how much more height did you add to your ZR2? Asking cause I live in the city and underground parking is more secure, and I’m already finding it hard enough to find a garage with 6’8 of clearance. I do know that you’ve added height to the front, but with it pivoting on the axis over the rear axel, did it add any height to the roofline in any noticeable way?

    • @matt13ross

    Just curious why you even purchased a ZR2, seems like you would have been better off with a base model trail boss. Not trying to sound like a total dick but this video reinforces why I don’t like to purchase used trucks.

      Because I wanted one, and I had a Colorado ZR2. I don't understand, what does this video have to do with used truck purchases?

      @@matt13ross It means I would not want to purchase a truck that costs this much from someone used knowing that it may have been monkeyed around with like in the video

      Because raptors have insane markups on them a raptor will be at least 20k more right now so it’s much cheaper right now to buy a zr2 now if you have the patience I think raptor prices will come down big time once the raptor r comes out.
