@@escapeplayzzz the card goes inside the slot all the way through but never locks in. I took a staple from a stapler and used it to adjust the mechanisms inside the slot. A flashlight helps a lot to see the tiny mechanisms you are working on. Good luck
@@ravenbonanza1522 oh got it. So the issue I am facing is with my new 3ds xl. The micro sd card is not being read by the console but the card is working on pc. There could be the obvious chance of the card being going bad but I got a new one and the same issue persists. The slot is locking the card in, and also a different message pops up whenever a card is plugged in and plugged out meaning the reader is also kinda working fine as in it knows when the card was ejected out. In this case what I am missing as to why the card is not being read ? And there any connectors which are creating this issue or anything else? Help would be much appreciated :,)
@@escapeplayzzz I have a strong feeling the device you have does not have the capability to read the newer generation SD cards such as SDHC and SDXC. Try inserting the SD card that came with the package for your device.
hello thanks for this video. i have a micro sd card slot that stopped reading card, card clicks in ok. think got a little moisture or dampness inside from a heavy rain, its on my boat sounder. card is good because i tried it on another device. any idea how i might clean it or any fix? thanks john
Sorry, this animation was made many years ago and I didn't keep the model. But you can search for a picture of "Raspberry Pi 2", there are usually top view photos of it on shopping sites, and I know it has this Card Slot on it.

sorry I can't help because I can't fix it.
Usually, I will try to scrub it with alcohol. If it doesn't work, I will replace it with a new one.

This is out of date and is being used less and less
