    How much does it cost to do something like this?

    They dont replace the battery, they replace the whole iPad. Applecare wont allow a battery or iPad replacement unless the Battery is under 80%, you cant even pay out of pocket for it on Applecare. So I accidentally smashed my screen and got a full replacement for $49. Apple needs to fix applecare and its useless rules.
    They shouldve just let me replace the iPad in the first place without needing to have it smashed to do it.

    I just brought some ipad for a POS system. Since they will best connected all the time, what’s the best way to preserve the battery. I had a iPad mini installed in my car few years ago it was plugged in the whole time and battery won’t hold charge after 2yrs.

    Question …I replaced the battery on an ipad pro 12.9 first generation and after installation of the battery was completed..the sim card slot is not recognizing the sim card installed, when to get a new one from the cellular carrier and they gave me a new sim card but the ipad pro 12.9 do not recognize the sim card ….”no sim card “ is displayed. I went and erase the entire networking on the ipad, erased all network connections but did not fix the sim card problem , cleaned up the sim card slot with alcohol and nothing either…Do I need to buy a new sim card slot?…everything was working prior my battery installation…everything happened after battery installation and the reason why I changed my ipad pròs battery was …it was not holding charge at all…it shows 90% and then suddenly turned of with the empty battery sign ….and put the charging cable back and it showed 75%…it was not holding charge…my problem is the sim card slot…with the sim card in shows a message “no sim card” when is one inside….the sim card port is not bend it.

    I always wanted to learn how to replace iPad batteries and screens. Planning to get one of those heating pads I seen for about $100 for my birthday and have a couple of broken screen ipads I picked up at garage sale to play around with.

      Unless you're willing to undergo professional training and certification and gain actual working experience with a professional organization, don't even THINK of doing this kind of work, especially without considering the potential consequences, including legal consequences. And I don't mean just taking responsibility for accidentally destroying a $1000 iPhone or iPad and having to reimburse whoever it belongs to. I'm talking about even worse consequences in potentially being sued if that happens and the person who owns the device doesn't have backups, or even "claims" they have no backups and sues you for it. This kind of work is complex, you need to have the intellect and experience to FULLY UNDERSTAND the devices you're working on, a literal TON of other knowledge and experience, you should preferably have a business degree and a legal representative on hand, and it should NEVER be regarded as some kind of pet project you can do at home. So, don't just make rash decisions like this without thinking them through thoroughly.

      @@nikonlover1 Thanks for the information. No all the tinkering will be done on my own devices that I own. I would NOT want to deal with other user's iPads.
      I do have a few iPad 2 and 3 that I brought at some swamp meet many years ago that the only turns on charging to the outlet but have dead batteries. And got 2 iPads with broken screens that I don't mind experimenting on.

      Apple doesn’t bother replacing batteries. They will give you about half credit price and then swap it out for a new iPad.

    These repairs seem like a two man job, just because it's so hard to hold one part while removing another part.

    Welp learned the hard way. Managed to successfully install a new battery on my 12.9 iPad but as I booted it up I was greeted with half the screen flickering. Goodbye iPad

      I have a 1st generation iPad. I'll give this battery replacement a go. If it works out fine. Otherwise I will buy a new one. Usually with solid state electronics the reliability starts to drop at about 10k hours. It becomes about as reliable as if it's brand new. I bought my iPad back around 2015 so it's approaching than point.

    b7000 is only used for back glass

    • @99pcrepaircenters88
      @99pcrepaircenters88  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey Mark! It works perfect for iPhone back glass. I just completed two back glass repairs earlier today with it. We also use it for more than just back glass. It’s non conductive and easy to loosen with heat. We call it our insurance policy for being used along with double sided tape. If you ever need to take something you glued back apart it will be much easier with b7000!

    How come nobody uses the pull-tape to get the batteries off? Everyone use heat/alcohol and risks bending the battery to the point where it burns. Surely the tale would be safer/quicker?
    Great video by the way.
