    Excellent work. A couple of things to mention...
    Keep an eye on scope camera for us...
    secondly instead checking and replacing individual components, always have a good look at all related circuitry, that will surely save not only your time but also we'll have more to see.....thumbs up.

      😂. It takes practice. Your hand must not be floating in mid air when soldering. Lay your wrist on the table to give it support. Working with 1005 SMD components is difficult and takes allot of practice + you need the right tools

      He probably had them from a donor board or buy them in bulk. I reckon he distinguish by filter size and use one that had same size or by experience he gained by fixing so many of them.

      Le Grand is right, Many times i use donor boards, or know the values from experience, but this time i used filters that are commonly used on iiPhones and iPads. The filters are the same ones i use to fix iPhone 6SP no touch.

    How much for this mail in repair? I have the same exact issue because I forgot to disconnect the battery before replacing the screen. There was a spark and smoke when the touch flex cable touched the fpc connector incorrectly.
    It turns on just fine, so I hope it’s only the filters I blew.

    Why do you sometimes use the tweezer and sometimes the hot air gun? Using the tweezer works also and you are preventing the damage of the connector?

      Hit tweezers are very useful for quick removal but trying to pick the part off your bench without destroying the component or your bench seems impossible.

      transfor mateur inductors will usually be black and look like a resistor, capacitors usually take on a yellow/light brown colour.

    In all your video I don’t think I’ve ever seen you use a microscope, do you have one in the shop and do you prefer not to use one and find it easier with the camera microscope on the screen?? , is that the Eakins microscope camera as well??.thanks jay

      He always uses a microscope, it's just that he has it connected to a TV/large monitor so doesn't need to look through the microscope unless its delicate work like this.
