I used this camera for almost a year. Still operating well. Mostly i do recording on 4K/30fps and the batteries can hold for 45-55 minutes. 4K videos quality is very acceptable even when the EIS was on. The touchscreen perfomance is really smooth and made it easy for us. Decent timelapse quality for both photos or videos. EIS quality is not GoPro but regarding the price, i'm satisfied for it perfomances. The downside is obviously for the sound quality even using the external microphone, there's not much different i found. Overall, this is very good action cam for beginner or for those who just capture static videos and not really care for the sound quality. The price is their winning point and for me it's totally worth buying considering what u will get on the whole packages. Well, it's an honest opinion from me. Btw, very good product reviews u made buddy. Not many people knows there's a lot of budget action camera that give decent quality instead of more higher price such as GoPro, Insta360 etc. Thanks for sharing and cheers from Malaysia.
Thanks for watching and also for your personal input and opinion. I appreciate it. I’ve used it a couple of times since this video and I’m very pleased by the results. The next video I’ll be uploading will included some footage from the Akaso V50X. Its a great action camera at a very low price.

Hey James, thanks so much for your comment man, and for taking the time out to watch the video. @@DroneSyndrome You're very welcome! I went ahead and ordered, unfortunately I had to cancel because it seems Akaso have changed the internals of this once very capable camera and the results are disappointing, I'm just glad I cancelled in time. Gutted that they have changed it, the pre 2023 version looked like exactly what I needed.
@@jamesthomas7048 Really? I didn’t know this. That’s disappointing for sure. I don’t know why they would change the internals and downgrade it. Must be the cost management, who knows. Sorry to hear that. I hope you’re able to find one similar if not, better than this one that fits your budget.
@@DroneSyndrome I've read a few reviews on it that suggest the reason for the downgrade in sound quality and connectivity issues is that some of the internal components have been replaced due to the increase in cost and demand for semiconductors that are included in the original chip. A worldwide shortage due to the pandemic has forced them to become more cost effective and unfortunately as a result the product and consumer has suffered. I just wish they'd have been a bit more transparent about things. I think I'm going to save and get a GoPro 😂
@@jamesthomas7048 I see. That would make sense if they’re trying to save on such costs but like you said, the quality suffers at the expense of the customer unfortunately. I’ve been checking out the iZEEKER iA800 and will probably get one and review it in the channel. It has the same processing chip as the GoPro and from what I’ve seen, the video image and color looks amazing. It might be one to consider. And it cost less than a GoPro.

Great review. I bought a V50X and so far far, I'm very happy with it. I have a couple questions about the camera that I hope you can answer. I've noticed that it records each scene in three formats, MP4, LRV, and THM (still photo). I don't need the LRV and THM. Is it possible to have the camera only record in the MP4 format? Also, the date shows up in the upper left corner of my videos, even though I have the Date Stamp turned OFF in Settings. Is this normal?
First of all, thanks for watching the video and for leaving your comment. As for the LRV and THM files, they are going to always appear automatically with your original files and as far as I know, there is no option in the camera for this. You can just simply delete them in your computer and leave just your video files only. Unless you need the proxy files for editing (LRV)... In regards to the digital stamping, it should not appear if you turned it off in the settings, so not sure what to say about that. Could be a firmware issue? You’d have to contact Akaso customer service directly for that. Hope this info helps.
@@DroneSyndrome Thank you very much for replying so quickly. I'm disappointed to hear the LRV and THM cant be disabled. I'll take your advice and contact Akaso concerning the date stamp issue.
