No wonder George R. R. Martin will never finish The Song of Ice and Fire, since he is hanging out at the Mermaid Grotto under an assumed name...

Jacob is probably one of the most wholesome content creators on this platform, most pretentious uppity content creators would have griped about the condition of some of these hotels like Excalibur, New York new York, and circus circus. But Jacob is all smiles and enthusiasm, very much appreciated and a welcome change from the dower pessimism of the other content creators. Keep up the good work!👍👍👍

Is Captain Steve the artist or a collector? If he's the artist, WOW!
I Love the Luxor! When our son was in 5th grade they studied about Egypt, so of course, we HAD to take him to the Luxor to sleep in a pyramid! They used to have King Tut's tomb as an exhibit, but they moved it to the LV museum of natural history. He also loved the Titanic and all the magic shows we took him to. It was pretty awesome. (We don't gamble either!)

King Tut wasnt buried in pyramid...he was in a cave dug into the rock in the valley of the kings. Its kinda sad to see what Luxor has become. The rooms used to have egyptian-themed furniture with hieroglyphs on the mouldings. Now, it could be in any hotel anywhere. Kind of lost its charm and uniqueness. Ive stayed in both a tower and the pyramid. In had a south facing room in the pyramid, and because of the sun and the angle of the glass, the room was roasting. The A/C could not keep up with it. I need to go back out there. Thanks for this cool trip.

Great video as always Jacob! I stayed in the Luxor for a night about a year ago just before the quarantine started happening. Our room was nearly at the top floor of the pyramid and looking over the edge and seeing just how high up you are from the Casino was something else! I ended up getting stuck in the elevator for about two hours on the 26th floor and let me tell you... I wasn't acrophobic or claustrophobic but spending some time alone in a rickety elevator like that can really change a man! Despite it all, I still enjoyed my stay and loved the theming of the casino. Glad you get to experience all that Vegas has to offer too, despite all the pandemic craziness. It's definitely a favorite vacation spot for our family!

Good morning Jacob, it's amazing from where you get these special informations e.g. the mermaid musuem. This are the small things, what it makes worth to follow your vlog. Also my respect to the owner of the museum. You can feel the love, passion and proud of his life's work. What also remarkable is, are the pricelists we could see on the edge, inparticular the roomprices, intresting. But I think on a weekend or holidays the room prices rise up like a rocket. And if you park your car, remember the casino, the floor, the colour and the number of your parking lot.We have searched our car two hours in four parking garages.Jacob, I'm looking forward for more.🇺🇸👍Your fan from Germany.

I remember riding the indoor canal boat ride many years ago, and watched Blue Man Group in 2000. I stayed there in August and November last year, and booked a Pyramid Room but they gave me a Tower Room instead. (The separate bath/shower is nice) I like eating at the Pyramid Cafe and Backstage Deli. My favorite part is they have the classic "Alien" Slot Machine in a huge cabinet! I also ate the Prime Rib special at Ellis Island, and that's the best deal for $16.99!!

This has been interesting, & exciting. 2 days left? Time sure flies when your having fun! Luxor looks more inviting. Did you see where someone won $200,000 on a casino game at the airport? Look forward to your next video.

Thanks so much for this trip.....I have been to Vegas on numerous occasions but never had the opportunity to explore the different hotels and I think it is fantastic... I first went to Circus Circus in the 70s and 80s as a kid where it is apparent that they groom the children of gamblers to gamble at the huge arcade they have located right next to the casino. I usually stay at Excalibur now but I have to admit its been 15-20 years since I went to Las Vegas. I also saw the inside of the casino where it looks like you are in a city in Paris and they even have a sky in the casino....It is amazing and I could not remember where it was and you found it.....Thanks Carpetbagger!!!!!

I'm really enjoying this series Carpetbagger. Good idea to stay for a whole week AND to stay at a different hotel each night. Tiki content is tres cool! I think I also saw an actual carpetbag in this video. Thank you Jacob. Right on.

Oh my Lord...DudeI I've watched so many of your videos over the years, and always found them cool! I've got to say... You just went to Ellis Island for Supper! This is so AWESOME! I've got friends that we often speak of Ellis Island. I love to go there and eat on my trips to Vegas. Very down home, with good food and good people. Just just made my whole day. You Rock! Keep up the good work.
