Taking those tens of millions off the top may not seem like much but that is what pays the workers who have families to raise. As someone who is too interested in statistics to gamble, I don't care what two consenting adults agree to. Theft is high on my radar for bad crimes. They're aware that with uncontrolable addictions that people are throwing their life savings away at casinos at hopes that they're messed up lives get better. They're aware that people who are up 20,000 can't help themselves and more often lose it all plus their own rather than walk away.
It's easy to say "they choose to gamble" but it's really not and anyone who understands addiction would respect this and not blame the victim of the real crooks who rip people off under the guise of the law.

They're only interested in using these cameras if you steal from the casino. if someone steals from you while you're in their establishment they couldn't care less. They don't want to get the police involved and will tell you they need to review the tapes for hours. After that when you try to make follow up inquiries they'll ignore your texts and emails.

The courts have repeatedly ruled that the IRC exists to tax *income* not punish other illegal behavior!

    • @tylerdurden639

You can show receipts, but those will have a second source on them most times.
Criminals can not self substantiate their income, and their secondary sources will likely be considered invalid.

I'm surprised that the guy who took the purse was arrested. I dropped something in a casino and lost it and went to the police. When I told them it wasn't grabbed from me, they said it wasn't a crime to find something.

@@andrewpayette621 is it ethical for a bartender to knowing serve an alcoholic? Most casino revenue comes from problem/addict gamblers. Casinos are no better than drug dealers, and there is nothing ethical about what they do.

Vegas cheated me, was staying at New York New York Casino, won $800 on Roulette and had a drink spiked about 4 hours after my win, dont remember nothing until waking up the next day, was sick all that day, security came to my room and said they found me passed out on the floor, I told them the last thing I remember was being at Times Square bar. So that was my last time at Vegas.

Casinos are the true evils. A decorated United States veteran committed suicide on the blackjack table after losing so much money. in about 2 hours later, after they cleaned the blood, the game resumed, it's like nothing ever happened. Just see their brutality.
