Great museum! I was on a crew that did the install for the first floor and basement speakeasy renovation. I also built the information desk and the bars on the box office windows in the lobby!
The look on your face when you drank the moonshine, classic, I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone’s face turn red that quickly!!! Thanks for a least trying it in the name of touring science:)

I love these museums, as you learn a lot of interesting facts there.
Don't worry about the supposed blood on the wall. Real blood turns black pretty quickly. It only stays red in movies and TV.
Dried blood looks like beef jerky.
I think they cleaned the blood and painted it red to let people know where they got shot
An earlier and smaller version of this museum was inside the old Tropicana hotel. It was very interesting; I'm glad the museum got relocated and updated. No moonshine samples were given at the Tropicana.

There’s a bar in the basement you can go to you just gotta go to the door and knock on it and also know the password for that day.

I’ve mentioned this before Jacob but wanted to say thanks again i’m 57 years old and was a very active person my whole life in my late 40s i suffered a major Stroke during a surgery that left me partially paralyzed and dependent on using a cane and custom made leg braces to walk because of all the newer regulations for flying and my disabilities it makes it way difficult to travel long distances , i do have a fascination with Organized Crime i would like to visit this Museumn but it has become. just to difficult to accomplish. thankfully The Carpet Bagger does travel to these places and makes videos for me to enjoy in the comfort of my home so thankyou

Great museum. I went there when I went to Vegas. I was in there for hours. I have always been fascinated by the mafia and old time gangsters such as Al Capone and Bugsy Siegel.
I’m in a public history class this semester and we had a guest speaker from this museum call in to talk about her job. I really hope I can go one day, it looks so cool.

The Spy Museum in Washington DC also is using touch pens instead of shutting their touch exhibits down. The rubber part of mine broke off by the end though lol.

I recall seeing the Tanked episode where they installed the fish tank. It was def pretty crazy getting in down there.
I was just wondering about that. Would expect there are some more locations in Vegas that have aquaria from Tanked.

I have done the mob museum multiple times and loved it each time. also the speak easy in the basement is amazing. they have some really great prohibition era cocktails. also the moonshine was really good.

My mom and I went to the museum just two days after my birthday and the day before Valentine's Day. How fitting. It was such a memorable experience, sadly we didn't visit the crime lab nor the The Underground, but it was still fun. My dad is coming down next month so I'm hoping that we all would go the museum, that is if the state doesn't go on full lockdown until then.

Also, when my dad was a kid (back in the 40s, he used to serve at funeral masses for the mob in our area. He used to tell me stories about how all the major families would send flowers, but because they were being watched, none of them had names on them.
There was also a mobster who helped the kids out alot when my dad was playing youth league sports. He'd buy them equipment, uniforms....whatever they needed to keep them out of trouble. He also donated a lot of money to the Catholic church. Well...he ended up on trial, and had his u.s. citizenship revoked (after he had passed away and is buried in a nice mausoleum near us). Did the church return his money? Of course not.
And then on the wtf side, I have family who got out of going to war because of mafia political connections.
i had family in the mob, apparently my great uncle's funeral was insane!
The Mob Museum is fun especially with the host that play certain charters I was a guided host and really didnt need change my name to fit as it is DELUCA so I fitted right in
Now that is a cool place!!
