Ahh yes. Jellyfish. I said "I cannot get stung if I avoid the ocean." And they said "In your dreams" and then they torment me in my sleep. Literally had a dream once where I was dragged kicking and screaming into the jelly infested water of my local beach. Bluebottles (I know they're not related) also make regular appearances in my head. One dream I had I was at the beach, looked around and said "There are no bluebottles here, weird" only to turn around to see the beach festooned with them. I watched a family walk past me, only for a bluebottle the size of a small dog to run up to them on its tentacles and trip the couple's child over with its appendage. I have several more anecdotes of ethereal dream stingers, but I think this is plenty.

An aquarium we visited had a display of "jellyfish" like that. At a distance, it looked like the real thing. Up close, several panels informed us of the dangers of our trash in their waters. Sobering lesson.

Now that I've seen several I am a devoted follower. I am far too old now to believe I might retain any of the wealth of scientific knowledge provided in watching his videos, but I certainly like the sense that I am learning useful information about interesting subject matter. Of course, I am a bit of a pervert who has always thoroughly enjoyed "toilet humor" and Ze Frank videos are "flush" with it. And his material is not your run of the mill adolescent "potty mouth" stuff, but clever, inspired, laugh out loud shit! This video happened to be one of several offered up at the end of some other video I had watched and I am SO VERY TICKLED it did. Upon watching this initial video I became an instant fan of Ze Frank. Now that I've seen several I am a devoted follower.
I am far too old now to believe I might retain any of the wealth of scientific knowledge provided in watching his videos, but I certainly like the sense that I am learning useful information about interesting subject matter.
Of course, I am a bit of a pervert who has always thoroughly enjoyed "toilet humor" and Ze Frank videos are "flush" with it.
And his material is not your run of the mill adolescent "potty mouth" stuff, but clever, inspired, laugh out loud shit!
Each video of the True Facts series commands one's full attention and the viewer's reward is complete entertainment.

@@GM-cw9qr Octopi have already mastered short expeditions on land. Given a few million more years of evolution, they could be building space ships and going on expeditions in space.
That is assuming they can evolve a better mechanism to stop themselves from eating their own children. Never eating again after having sex once works, but it sure makes passing knowledge down through multiple generations much more difficult. Starvation is an extreme penalty for losing virginity.
Impressively, there is evidence that octopi have developed culture despite evolution's evil choices.
