    Man where were you a year ago lol. I replaced my 750 gearbox and had to kinda figure it out on the fly, there isn't that much content out there like this. Thank you for the videos!

      I appreciate you responding. I started watching part 2 and had a bit of a panic..is there a video of any bike you have made from the end of video one to video 2? That I can refer to?
      My main question would be should I swap everything as is?
      Do I need to be in nuetral?
      Your tutorials are on point, especially the vocabulary on specific parts.
      I believe I was in second gear. I have no damage inside the top block, it’s just the bottom gear rod that is slightly bent.
      Thx man.

      I sure don't have any other videos beside what's posted here. But when you say bottom rod that's bent. I'm not sure what you are referring to as bottom rod. Now is you have to change a Transmissions shaft, you can take all the gears off & put them on a new shaft but I would definitely order new spacers & snap rings to go on the newly assembled shaft.

    This EXACT situation happened to me..same exact bike, model and size. Right down to the same parts I need to replace.
    This video and tutorial has saved me countless hours! Thx man.

    By the sound alone when you start the bike I’m pretty sure of the direction I need to head. Appreciate the video!! Thank you brother!! I e lost 6th gear all together on my 05 Gsxr which is stretched and 1st and 2nd gear has that exact same sound!!

    1:02:18 I have a question regarding the harmonic balancer. What would be the effect of running an engine without one? Thing is my bike has a knocking sound when running thanks to three bad teeth on the crank shaft. tried filing them down but the sounds still persists. Im sure if i ran it without the harmonic balancer i'd have a nicely quiet engine. but i don't know what consequences that would have. besides that, the bike pulls like a very angry train

    • @limitlesspowersportsservic3394
      @limitlesspowersportsservic3394  24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Well to start that off if you took the flywheel off then you would throw the whole entire motor out of balance. And then also you would not have a working charging system as the rotor creates the electromagnetic field with the stator to send the voltage to your regulator rectifier to charge your battery. In filing teeth down you need to make sure they're all filed exactly the same cuz you can run into some big issues with filing teeth down. And I'm not sure exactly how the harmonic balancer would change the knocking in your motor

      @limitlesspowersportsservic3394  23 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It just dawned on me you're actually talking about the balancer inside the crankcase if you get rid of that you could possibly have major vibrations you can try to run it without it. I have some people do it in the past. But you can't expect the motor to vibrate a hell of a lot more.

    Hi, how much would rebuilding a gearbox rebuild cost on a 2010 gsxr1000? Thanks!

      I'm pretty sure I just answered the email back but yeah most shops in charge away from 2500 to $1,000 to put a transmission in it

    I have the same issue on my 16 gsxr 1k
    I bought the bike used, the chain snapped i thought no big deal. Put a new chain on and it was knocking, take chain off and counter shaft was bent.
    Took trans apart, new OEM counter shaft and I spun the gears by hand and they all seem fine, put motor back in and it still fucking knocks. It rides and shifts fine. I probably need the clutch output shaft too then huh? Maybe the teeth on the basket going to the crank bent. Any suggestions?

    • @limitlesspowersportsservic3394
      @limitlesspowersportsservic3394  29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I would definitely check the output shaft bearing. They outer case on that piece is replaceable and the one I had was cracked and it was Wobble the bearing back and forth so I would double check that to make sure the bearing is secure in that case is not cracked and it's a possibility that you do have a bent clutch shaft but usually I would check all the teeth on every single gear to make sure those are okay because sometimes the gears like to break when it gets that kind of pressure put on the output shaft

    • @TboneSTEAK111
      @TboneSTEAK111 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@limitlesspowersportsservic3394 The noise seems to mostly shut up riding with load on the gearbox, so it may be that bearing case. I'll get back to you when I get the gearbox out, thanks!

    What csn possibly cause this kind transmission damage? I've heard the early Hayabusa had weak transmissions.

    • @limitlesspowersportsservic3394
      @limitlesspowersportsservic3394  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well having an extended swing arm with out a jack shaft pulling from that length & doing burnout can cause the output shaft to bend. He was lucky the crankcase didn't break. The customer bought the bike in almost this condition.

      This was never a race bike that I'm aware off. The previous owner might have tried to street race it but definitely not on a drag strip. It's a stock motor they just did a hack job when they put the 240 kit on it.
