First, they force the writers to make a pointless retcon that it was never part of the Arrowverse despite multiple Diggle cameos and references to Oliver's death and the Crisis for TWO WHOLE SEASONS!!!!! I wish the characters from most of the DCTV shows came back for another multiverse crossover since many of these shows didn't get a proper ending and have it end with most of those shows retconned in the same universe just like the Crisis did with the CW DC shows at the time!
It kinda did have an ending the Arrowverse Crossover comic and yes that wasn't actually an ending either accept they showed us what happened to the Legends despite the shows showing us that in the finale season they were sent to prison but yeah the crossover comic was the ending for that for some strange reason

This is the opposite of what happened to the last Superman related show. Krypton was canceled by the channel Syfy despite WB really liking the show and wanting it to continue. And Gunn did kind of hint at him wanting the show to end before Superman Legacy. He said the show might continue for another season last year when asked about it. Why would he say that if he didn't want the show to be completed by the time the movie releases?
Because WB and James Gunn have no power over this show. The Lois getting cancer proved that. They literally destroyed the entire point of Superman and his powers. WTF WB? Superman & Lois is one of the best modern Superman live action takes in years it deserved at least one more Season. WB for years when to came to the DC Comics brand never wanted a Superman , Batman , Wonder Woman project animated or tv on at the same time as the movies. History repeating itself yet again. Hopefully this gets fixed with The DCU.

I knew they canceled the show because of the movie. Superman Legacy and Superman and lois are completely different stories. We won't see Superman son's on the movie for crying out loud. And the next Superman movie after Superman Legacy will probably take 3 or 4 years to see the new one in theaters. By then Superman and lois would have had 8 or 9 seasons. It would give them the chance to wrap up the series for a proper ending but it looks like we are not going to get that.
They didn't do anything based on the movie. WB doesn't care. If they did they would have stopped Lois from getting cancer. Because Superman is beyond cancer.. Seriously.

WB in general seems to always be on the fence of having multiple universes going on at once, which is why we are having A SECOND ADAPTATION OF CRISIS OF INFINITE EARTH'S but on the animation universes side of things. Are you really surprised about the show being cancelled?. I mean DC did the same thing with Stargirl which was an amazing show. That series could've most definitely been part of the new DC universe. Multiple actors playing the same character gives the audience the most stories in the least amount of time. But, I’ll ask did u watch the flash or blue beetle movies? One failing to use the full potential of the multiverse trope the other compressing or even ignoring canon. James Gunn is introducing untested “wild storm” characters. In the past he may have been successful with introducing the guardians of the galaxy rooster but, those characters have appeared in other media prior to the film. Not going to lie I'm abit confused as to why this is such an issue. I enjoy Superman & Lois but it's already been stated how theyve had to cut half the main cast to limited roles for Season 4 due to budget cuts. Im not really sure how this show continues into Season 5... Also whilst the story was good pretty much all CW shows fell off after season 4 due to poor writing so Id hate to see this do the same. End the show on a high rather than drag it out.
This is better this way. Unless you establish a proper multiverse or a proper foundation you water down the characters when you have multiple iterations. Another thing is that shows not being able to use certain characters. There needs to be a limit on shows and movies connectivity and also having multiple versions.

What's the point of Gunn's Elseworlds under which The Batman falls if Superman and Lois could not fall under i as well? The answer is that Gunn is blowing smoke when he touts WB Elseworlds. Gunn claimed recently he is in total control of DC Studios and that WBD can't override him. Maybe he'll address this on Threads? Or not as it will be hard for him to wiggle out of this. Smallville was allowed to continue despite Superman Returns coming out. SR bombed and Smallville ran for four more years. There are doubts about Superman Legacy. It has been getting negative buzz and Gunn/Zaslav may fear SL would look not so epic if S&L was still going and turning in a season like season 3. Remember, the rumored plot for SL sounds like it's more for a streaming film than a theatre film. The Batman 2 is being slow walked. Why? Gunn wants it to be part of his DCU but Reeves refuses to fold his Batman into Gunn's universe. I doubt Gunn cancels The Batman - he can't afford to before SL comes out as he will turn another fanbase against him and perhaps turn Superman Legacy into a referendum on Gunn - the last thing that WBD needs.

I wish the characters from most of the DCTV shows came back for another multiverse crossover since many of these shows didn't get a proper ending and have it end with most of those shows retconned in the same universe just like the Crisis did with the CW DC shows at the time!
It kinda did have an ending the Arrowverse Crossover comic and yes that wasn't actually an ending either accept they showed us what happened to the Legends despite the shows showing us that in the finale season they were sent to prison but yeah the crossover comic was the ending for that for some strange reason

This is the opposite of what happened to the last Superman related show. Krypton was canceled by the channel Syfy despite WB really liking the show and wanting it to continue. And Gunn did kind of hint at him wanting the show to end before Superman Legacy. He said the show might continue for another season last year when asked about it. Why would he say that if he didn't want the show to be completed by the time the movie releases?

I knew they canceled the show because of the movie. Superman Legacy and Superman and lois are completely different stories. We won't see Superman son's on the movie for crying out loud. And the next Superman movie after Superman Legacy will probably take 3 or 4 years to see the new one in theaters. By then Superman and lois would have had 8 or 9 seasons. It would give them the chance to wrap up the series for a proper ending but it looks like we are not going to get that.

WB in general seems to always be on the fence of having multiple universes going on at once, which is why we are having A SECOND ADAPTATION OF CRISIS OF INFINITE EARTH'S but on the animation universes side of things. Marvel and Disney for years have allowed multiple universes in animation to go on at once but for some strange reason, WB NO MATTER WHO IS IN CHARGE cant handle multiple universes go on at once, especially odd to consider WE JUST HAD A DC MOVIE TO FEATURE MULTIPLE VERSIONS OF THE SAME CHARACTER AT ONCE ON THE BIG SCREEN!

- Bloated Budgets
- Bad Scripts
- Most people can't afford to go out to the movies anymore on a regular basis.

Multiple actors playing the same character gives the audience the most stories in the least amount of time. But, I’ll ask did u watch the flash or blue beetle movies? One failing to use the full potential of the multiverse trope the other compressing or even ignoring canon. James Gunn is introducing untested “wild storm” characters. In the past he may have been successful with introducing the guardians of the galaxy rooster but, those characters have appeared in other media prior to the film. One could hope 4 the new Superman movie to make bank but, I don’t believe in JG.

I enjoy Superman & Lois but it's already been stated how theyve had to cut half the main cast to limited roles for Season 4 due to budget cuts. Im not really sure how this show continues into Season 5...

I'm glad I decided to watch this show because I really enjoyed it -- the most wholesome Superman since the one and only OG (for me at least).
The show destroyed Superman by giving Lois cancer.

What's the point of Gunn's Elseworlds under which The Batman falls if Superman and Lois could not fall under i as well? The answer is that Gunn is blowing smoke when he touts WB Elseworlds. Gunn claimed recently he is in total control of DC Studios and that WBD can't override him. Maybe he'll address this on Threads? Or not as it will be hard for him to wiggle out of this.
Smallville was allowed to continue despite Superman Returns coming out. SR bombed and Smallville ran for four more years. There are doubts about Superman Legacy. It has been getting negative buzz and Gunn/Zaslav may fear SL would look not so epic if S&L was still going and turning in a season like season 3. Remember, the rumored plot for SL sounds like it's more for a streaming film than a theatre film.
The Batman 2 is being slow walked. Why? Gunn wants it to be part of his DCU but Reeves refuses to fold his Batman into Gunn's universe. I doubt Gunn cancels The Batman - he can't afford to before SL comes out as he will turn another fanbase against him and perhaps turn Superman Legacy into a referendum on Gunn - the last thing that WBD needs.

I'm just wishing Superman and Lois a decent 4th season to end on, I'm grateful for what I got to see and what a lead actor and probably my favourite tv superman where tom welling my og guy from smallville, since Supergirl, Tyler has held his own and delivered well, in terms of cancellation, it will be WB, they own the character they agree the license, the end decision and control of the character ultimately lies with WB.
Except WB has no control over the CW Superman and Lois show.

When does it end first it was the garbage with Henry and replacing him with David then they make the flash show come to an end and rush the last season I feel like then several movie projects were canceled only to be half made Bat girl ring a bell ? Then the batman beyond project was canceled too only to bring Micheal Keaton back to tease us the fans with new moves and boss up just to kill his Batman off not to mention all the mess in between with the hierarchy of power bringing us back Henry Cavil as Superman only to say NOPE F U to us all the fans now Superman and lois is being taken too away from us ? How is this responsible?
What if the new Superman movie also falls to pieces and flops which Im certain its going to how will the men and women in cozy chairs that play office at WB justify their decisions then ?

Considering the visuals superman and lois had for a tv show, I think the reason it was cancelled was cuz it's wasn't making a great profit for the amount of money it was utilizing.
Probably for the best. Imo. If they want people to become attached to the movie Superman, then I feel like less is more. Not even Marvel made it a point to have different Iron Man or Captain America while making the movies.
