THIS is my favorite set of all time. I finally got it this last Christmas with a sale and was the happiest ever. I built it the entire day right when I received it and exposed it in our living room in our marine home decor. It fits sooo damn well in our interior that it never leaved. I love it so damn much. Everyone landing his eyes on it is blown away. It became a highlight in our home. I think it is so beautiful.
I couldn't agree more with you. It's truly a stunning set. I received it for Christmas as well, but I had to wait until recently to be able to build it. It was such a joy to put together.
@@Revenant7n In France it was exclusively available this Christmas on the Cdiscount website and was cheaper than on the Lego one so it was time to buy it ! (I'm French)
I love this set, however I spotted 2 major flaws but easily fixable. The motor is really loud. I fixed it by just disconnecting the motor to just have the light as a decorative light of my living room. It’s great. The protection rail at the very top is way to high for the mini figure. But with the same pieces it’s possible to change it and reduce it by half so that it’s reaching the minifig belt making it more realistic.
Wow, you really know how to make a Lego review! You have done something I didn’t think could be done: you made a new way of reviewing Lego sets. You have your own unique style and it’s great.
I passed on this set at first because of the price, but my wife thought it looked great and bought it for me as a birthday gift. I enjoyed the build and love the model. My most favorite set is the Saturn V, and many of my other favorite sets are also Ideas sets like Pirates of Barracuda Bay, Medieval Blacksmith, and Home Alone. I love other space and fairground sets like the Shuttle Discovery, Roller Coaster, and Haunted House too.
Indeed, the price may be a bit higher, but it's a stunning set worth every penny. You have an excellent taste in selecting beautiful Lego sets! I've also realised recently that the majority of my Lego collection consists mainly of Lego Ideas sets. I love the Haunted House as well.
I absolutely love the quality of your videos and how detailed your reviews are. Definitely gives incredible insights into sets. I find myself watching your videos more out of entertainment rather than consideration for future purchases.
do you think replacing the mirror sticker with a real mirror would make the light much brighter? Also, I would like to try a modification to make the lighthouse taller and eliminate the need for the island base
Hey Lukas. Could you help me? Is it worth buying Winter Village sets to make a little shelf city? I like modulars architecture, but they are expensive, big, and all the interiors useless for display. I prefer the doll house model. Cheaper, smaller and for display are equal. Or should I buy these great Ideas/icons/architecture sets, that are great as a standalone set?
Hmm... it's a tough decision. We had several Christmas Lego sets on display during the holiday season, and it looked stunning. However, on the other hand, you probably don't want it to feel like Christmas all year round, right? Similarly, the Lego icons/ideas look great on their own, as sometimes it's hard to combine them due to their size. So, I'd probably opt for smaller-sized icons. I must say, I really love the Chinese Restaurant Reunion set bit.ly/LegoFamilyReunionCelebration. In terms of price, it's similar to the Christmas sets, and it also looks stunning. So, this might be your first building for the Lego city.
Thanks so much! I was toughting in the lunar new year set that i'd never heard before. Now my collection is Indiana Jones Diorama, Tah Mahal Architecture and Star Wars Dagobah training. In wish list: Evendell, Lion's castle (perhaps), A cabine, Gizeh, Himeji and probably some Lunar Year sets. I thought the same in Winter Village being so christimas. A nordic city would be more pleasing. Thanks so much for answering :D @hebuilder

This and the haunted house have been my two favourite builds. Nothing as unique as these two.
I couldn't agree more. Along with the lighthouse and the haunted house, I also have Three House in my top three favourite LEGO sets ever.

Where did you find it on sale!?

Awesome narration, first class and some. ❤
Thank you kindly!

You can change the railing to have still the double railing but less high
I was also quite surprised by how loud the motor is. I wish it was quieter so that I could fully enjoy the rotating light.
Before watching this video I wanted this set, now I NEED this set 😅
You definitely should add this set to your collection. It's truly a fantastic set.
@@lukasthebuilder I will do, and then I need to buy the old fishing store to put next to it 😃
I just got this set myself a few weeks ago and it lives up to the hype! Glad you like it and great review!
Thank you very much, it is an excellent set

Thank you so much. This is probably the kindest thing anyone has ever written to me here.
Wonderful review. I really like the night shots of the lighthouse. How did you achieve such a realistic fog?
Thank you so much. The smoking machine was utilized for creating the fog.

Wonderful review, as usual. After watching your review, I can see why this set gets the praise it does, even if it isn't for me.
Thank you
do you think replacing the mirror sticker with a real mirror would make the light much brighter? Also, I would like to try a modification to make the lighthouse taller and eliminate the need for the island base
I'm uncertain if a real mirror would help since the light isn't that strong.
Excellent review - I love this set.
Thank you very much

This Lego set is one of the finest I've ever assembled. I couldn't recommend it more highly.
